Was there more than John Wilkes Booth when it comes to the assassination of President Lincoln? Were there more people who wanted this to happen?

This book tried to answer those questions and for me, it was confusing and frustrating and not an easy read to follow. The book follows Dr. Jamie Fraser as he attended to Congressman John Bingham as he passed away and sort of shared a dying secret that there was more to Lincoln's assassination than is known. At a chance meeting at the funeral, Dr. Fraser finds a comrade in Speed Cook and they go on an adventure in this book to find out the secret and see if there was more to President Lincoln's assassination.

It may have been the timing of reading it - a busy month or the writing - a confusing adventure, but this book was not for me. I have the third book in the series to review and I am intrigued if a different subject matter could work better for me.
