This book is quite typical of these books. There is really nothing to set this apart from other books. It is something needed that will get checked out frequently from libraries.

A practical and helpful guide for teaching parent and then therefore babies simple signs so they can communicate better. The illustration style isn't my favorite, but this book is still a great resource.

Review to come at the end of the month on blog/goodreads.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review~

While I don't have babies of myself (for various reasons) I always love books like this with ways to communicate with babies and see what ways you have these days. Maybe in the future when my sister in law has a baby I can try out some signs and practice with them. That would be so cute and fun!

In this delightful book we learn an assortiment of signs you can practice with your babies so you can communicate with them in an easy and cute way. Because until they can use words it won't be always easy to figure out what they want. And signs are just much better than crying or having to play Sherlock Holmes. XD But thanks to this book you can learn your baby up when they want to picked up (which btw was just adorable), but also learn I love you and the words for mommy and daddy. I just loved seeing what signs we would learn and I can tell you they are all useful and will be used daily!

The signs and how to use them were easy to follow, some are just simple one illustration of a baby/kid with an instruction, others feature several illustrations. I had fun to try them out and I like how intuitive they are a lot of times. Like with eat you just move your fingers to your mouth like your putting food in your mouth. Or when you want to hold a doll you make a movement like you are cradling/rocking a baby.

Though the play one reminded me more of going to a metal/rock concert. XD Or the one who is hurting reminds me of anime/manga when a character is shy/unsure.

The illustrations were absolutely adorable! So cute! I love the colours used.

The only thing what I would have loved to see is some more instructions/some more tips on using signs.

I wish I had this book when my son was a new born. I’ll definitely consider buying this for new parents.

This book is such a great resource for parents. I loved it! I have been learning ASL, I found that I already knew some of these signs but I’m glad that that random signs weren’t used. Everything is clear and easy to understand for adults. So far from what I’ve seen, teaching ASL to children helps with communication with parents especially if kids are nonverbal. I can’t wait to use this signs one day with my own!

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

Great book, and something all parents can share with their babies. Knowing signs can help babies communicate before they speak, and it can also help people with hearing difficulties or other conditions. The pictures are adorable and I found myself trying all the signs with the babies. Thanks so much to NetGalley for letting me read this.

This book is darling!! As a mom of two, I know how hard it can be to communicate with littles before they can talk. Sign language is so helpful! This book is so cute and teaches the basics with easy to understand illustrations. I love this book and have found it so helpful in raising my second baby!

Super easy-to-understand and useful guide for babies to learn sign language. Some of the signs were a bit hard to figure out, but I think that the author did the best job of describing signs as they could. All of the pictures worked really well with these descriptions, depicting babies/toddlers using the signs in their own everyday lives. At first, it was confusing to figure out the intended audience for this book due to the tense the author wrote in, but it was eventually easier to tell after reading a few pages. This book will definitely be a great tool for any and all toddlers.

Bravo!

I learnt some sign language erm.. signs from this book.

Great illustrations and clear instructions on how to depict them..

I wonder who figured out this would work with babies. So clever.

liked this but i wonder if it is for parents or children? because if it is for children, then i think the illustrations should have been more clear. a little image on the side is not helping much. they should be like the images on the cover.

thanks to publishers for the copy!

This might sound dramatic, but I think it's fair to say this is/will be the holy grail of baby ASL books. Of the signs shown, my husband and I have taught our son a few... and MAN would it have been easier with this book. My favorite part is the written instructions for each movement. The signs that aren't just stationary, it's hard to understand as a hearing person who isn't fluent in ASL. I was (still am) paranoid though that I may be signing something incorrectly and it could come off as rude to someone who strictly uses ASL. Whether or not I'm overthinking the whole thing, I don't know. But what I DO know is that if I had this little guide to look at with not just my baby - but also my husband - I think our whole family would be able to sign a whole lot more by now.

When this is published, I plan to purchase a copy for our home as well as one for grandma and grandpa's!

{Thank you bunches to NetGalley, Lane Rebelo and publisher for this eARC in exchange for my honest opinion!}

This is a fun way for both parents and babies to learn different signs. When my son was a baby teaching him several signs was super helpful! The illustrations and text are fun and engaging! This book is definitely a great way to learn and teach new signs!

What a darling book!!! My four kids and I have so loved reading this together at lunch and learning new signs. Such a fun book. Very simple and beautifully put together.

Very cute illustrations! I love that it's not juuuuuuust signs (nothing wrong with books like that though!) and includes somewhat of a "story" to it. The descriptions of the signs are really nice too--sometimes sign descriptions are not terribly good and I don't understand what they are trying to say and end up having to look up videos.
