I like the content of this book, but I don't think the illustration style will lend itself to a toddler comprehending emotions clearly quickly.

Positively perfect! In this wonderful little book your little ones will be introduced to their emotions in a wonderful and gentle way. Using text that is easy to follow and understand for our little ones the author lets us know what feelings are, why we feel them and what they mean. Simple, colorful and bright illustrations grab children’s attention and we share the story together. I really love that the author pointed out how everyone has emotions, that it is okay to feel them and that we all feel them in a different way. This would be great to use in an early childhood classroom. It also makes a great bedtime story. I loved how easy it is to understand for my son who is on the Spectrum and struggles to understand his emotions. Enjoy this wonderful book with your family.
Thanks to Callisto publishing and to NetGalley for allowing us to view the ebook ARC. I will be adding it to our home collection..

I loved this book. It’s the perfect way to explain to a child what emotions are and to describe each emotion. The pictures complimented the descriptions well by giving common and accurate examples. A great book to give to children as gifts.

This was a great book for my 3 year old daughter who is really struggling with her emotions. The illustrations were great as well and I found this book to be a good starting point for talking about emotions.

This book totally lives up to its title. I have no bad things to say about this book. The writing was simple, yet descriptive, and very easy for toddlers to understand, with words that they already know. On top of that, the emotions featured in this book are perfectly age-appropriate, and a good starting point for kids to learn about the emotions they feel often. Additionally, the illustrations show readers what these emotions might look like, and they correlate very nicely. This makes for an even better and more comprehensive learning experience. Lastly, the ending is very true and it was a great idea for the author to include it. It is important for kids to know, from a young age, that all emotions are valid and useful to us, whether they are deemed "good" or "bad".
Bravo!

This is a great book to teach toddlers about different emotions. The language speaks directly to the child and the questions and lovely, in-depth illustrations provide plenty of opportunities for discussion with your toddler.

Rather than being described only by facial expressions, the book gives a more detailed explanation of each emotion, examples of situations which may cause them and how our minds and body can react.

Thank you to NetGalley/the publisher/author for this eARC.

This book introduces the concept of emotions to toddlers. Reading, talking about and looking at the colorful and expressive pictures in this title will begin the process of a child’s learning to identify their feelings. Kids are encouraged to consider each emotion that it is featured and when they feel it.

This book offers a good take on its subject. Acknowledging how one feels and recognizing the emotions of others are important life skills. This title shows that learning to do so can begin at an early age.

Many thanks to Callisto Publishing-Callisto Kids and NetGalley for this title. All opinions are my own.

I've read this with a daughter a few times and it's simple illustrations of emotions in predominantly home and school settings make it relatable. I love the repetitive prose; it helps with the flow and reading. We have already integrated it into our daily book pile this week. I think this would be good for older toddlers like 3 to 5 years old.

Thank you, Callisto Publishing, for this ARC.

Such a great first book to help toddlers understand emotions - both their own and the people they interact with.

Growing up my books about emotions just laid them out - you've got sad, mad, happy, grumpy, silly. Here's the faces you make when you feel those things. End of story. But what if the faces YOU make when you feel those things aren't the same? Or what if the feeling doesn't cause me to make a face at all!? There's SO MUCH more to feeling and expressing emotion than we were taught 30ish years ago.

Orlena Kerek MD created such a wonderful example of that with this book. She's included open ended and reflective questions, physical sensations and behaviors you may exhibit in the midst of said emotion. And to wrap up all of the intentional learning, she closes with "Your emotions are perfect. Big or small, love them all!" - something I think all of us could benefit from hearing no matter our age.

I plan to purchase this book once it is published, and will recommend to anyone I know in search of a good children's book that this is a gem!

{Thank you bunches to NetGalley, Orlena Kerek MD and publisher for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!}

I taught preschool for five years, and have four kids of my own, and I wish so badly I had this book to use! My two littlest (2 and under) are just so loving this book! My big kids love it too. SO many great conversations are coming from it.
