Lady Medea lost the Crown Prince’s hand in marriage to Lady Psyche. Medea vows to get her revenge, but after a chance encounter, she wakes up in Psyche’s body. They have traded bodies, but that becomes a challenge since they have such different personalities and lifestyles. Lady Medea sees this as her chance to marry the Crown Prince, as long as she can keep her real identity a secret.
I loved the premise of this story. Stories about people swapping bodies and lives are so interesting. The story was a little confusing at times, since Medea and Psyche were in each other’s bodies and some people had figured it out but were keeping it a secret. I really enjoyed this story!
Your Throne is a great fantasy graphic novel!
Thank you Wattpad Books for sending me a copy of this book!
This is definitely a case of "be careful what you wish for" and "the grass is always greener". Or in the MC Villainess' case, the grass is always redder, with unexpected bloodshed...
WOW but this ended with a BANG! I normally hate cliffhanger endings, but this one was *chef's kiss*.
Basically, we have the MC Villainess who was the fiancee of the Crown Prince, her place was taken over by the MC Heroine Who Wouldn't Hurt a Fly and she schemes to take back her rightful place...only to find out that the MC Heroine was NOT in a good place and now she is in the fire in the MC Heroine's stead! Also, the MC V and MC H really ARE the V and H, with the V not afraid to get her hands dirty, which stands her in good stead at the aforementioned cliffhanger.
I don't want to say anymore for fear of spoilers, but I will say that this one has me salivating for the next volume. If the second volume is as good as this one, I may need to make room on my Keepers bookcase for this series.
5, I was very pleasantly surprised and can't wait to see how this progresses, stars!
My thanks to NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group/Unscrolled for an eARC of this book to read and review.
Revenge is best served cold is a famous saying. But what happens when a plan for revenge goes awry as is the case here. Lady Medea Solon has lost her place next to the Imperial Prince to Lady Psyche Callista. So she is plotting revenge, but when she confronts Psyche during a ceremony, they two end up switching bodies. Now the two have to learn to act as the other and survive the Imperial Prince who is no Prince Charming! Great artwork and this volume lays the groundwork for an interesting story line. Will need to read the next volume to see how the heroines survive the predicament they are in!
Thanks Netgalley and Wattpad Webtoon for the chance to read this volume!
Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC!
What a fantastic start to this series. Riveting and magical. Kept me engaged and fully attentive. The only reason I rocked a star is because I think we could have taken a little more time to flush out the story in the beginning. But I can’t wait for volume 2!
It has a lack of backgrounds and the story starts in media res so it either compels you to read more or you find yourself repelled. I wasn't was interested in following the story, so I didn't finish this graphic novel.
This WEBTOON for volume one of Your Throne was amazing. I love the story line and the art style. I like that Lady Psyche is not as she seems. There a bigger story there. I like that she strong without realizing it. Lady Medea is a strong woman. But she got Lady Psyche all wrong. I like that she fights for what she wants. But it comes with big consequences that will be revealed right away. She also a very cunning, manipulative woman. That way people don’t like her. Throughout the story you’ll see the past of both of them. Really want to know more about both of them. Also get to meet Lady Medea loyal knight that would do anything for her. Also realize no one there for Lady Psyche. The crown prince makes you want to know more about him and hit him. Why is he doing what he did at the end of the volume. I can’t wait to see what the next volume holds of the Lady’s.

Your Throne Volume One by SAM was a bit of a confusing read. We follow the POV of the “villainess” in a political fantasy world where she thinks another girl stole the prince’s engagement from her. She vows to get her throne back at any cost…and that somehow leads to her and the other girl switching bodies, and maybe even understanding things a little more. I think I liked it, I was just kind of unsure who I was supposed to be rooting for as nobody seems particularly likable at first. As the volume progressed however, more and more secrets started unraveling and it definitely peaked my curiosity for what this story was turning into. Still not totally sure of my feelings, but overall, it was an interesting and different experience.
This is a suspense packed, "switcheroo" of a story! When a villainous Lady loses her prince to her sweet demure rival, things start to get crazy. They have swapped bodies, leaving both women learning what it's like to be the other. The suspense is crazy! I'm crossing my fingers that these two work it out and rise up against all their oppressors together one day. I'm excited to see where this one goes!
A huge thank you to @wattpadbooks for my gorgeous copy.
This webtoon was so good. I loved every minute of it and never wanted it to end. I can't wait to read more. Thank you so much Netgalley for an arc of this book. I apologize for the late review.
Damn. It was so good. The whole revenge plot is just amazing. I wasn’t expecting that twist but I can’t wait to see where this goes!! Initially I hated both the FMCs but after the twist I am starting to like them both. I luckily received a ARC copy from netgally!
Two rivals switch bodies, and Medea's revenge will make or break her fate.
In the Vasilos Empire, not everything is as it seems. The Crown Prince decided to marry Psyche Callista instead of Medea Solon, who was originally supposed to marry him. This angered Medea, and she vowed to seek revenge. On the day of the Yearly Prayer, Medea defied the rules and showed up at the temple, where she had a brief altercation with Psyche. During the encounter, a divine power caused Medea and Psyche to switch bodies as a result of Medea's prayer. Now that Medea has what Psyche had, what will she do? Was this an unexpected turn of events, or was it a stroke of misfortune?
The book I'm referring to is a captivating webtoon that I first read when I was younger. Rediscovering it recently was a delightful experience as the story is incredibly well-written and utterly fascinating, as I remember. I'm eagerly anticipating the sequel to find out what happens next.
Psyche strikes me as a rather unremarkable character, lacking a vibrant personality. I hope to see her undergo more significant character development in the upcoming installment. On the other hand, the Prince, also known as Eros, exudes a subtle air of malevolence, leaving me with the sense that he is constantly scheming. Medea, with her cunning and captivating persona, undergoes an intriguing character evolution throughout the story.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a narrative filled with unexpected turns and gripping suspense that will keep them on the edge of their seats.
Happy Reading and Happy Pub Day, Paige ❤️ 📚
Was I sad that the only option available for me to read early was a black and white PDF?? Why yes, yes I was. BUT, as a resourceful human, I used my WEBTOON app to kind of simultaneously scroll while reading so I could get an idea of the colors for the characters and full-scale of the art for a better picture. It just took me much longer to read it that way since the flips back and forth were a bit time consuming.
Outside the format, the story itself was fairly enjoyable. It totally fits with the whole villain origin/villain MC vibes that have been cropping up lately. Vengeful Lady Medea somehow magically switches bodies with the sweet Psyche who has taken her place as the Crown Prince’s fiancée.
It wasn’t my favorite of the WEBTOONs that I’ve read, but it was still an enjoyable read with the unexplainable magic body switch, the intriguing side characters and a Crown Prince with his own shady agenda. The set up between polar opposite Medea and Psyche was also intriguing to see develop over the course of the story.
If you’re interested in graphic novels spinning a tale of court intrigue in a fantasy realm with some literal role reversal via magic switch between a morally gray vengeful lady and her sweeter rival, this may just be a book to checkout.
Thank you to Netgalley and WEBTOON for the early copy in exchange for an honest review.
👑 Your Throne🗡️ by Sam 삼
Thank you @netgalley and @webtoonofficial for this ARC, this is my honest review!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
💭My thoughts: This was a a great manga full of angst and drama. The blurb hooked me in instantly! Imagine switching bodies with your rival 🤯 It does end on a cliffhanger but it leaves you wanting more. I really like Medea’s black cat personality. She’s so strong and not only mentally but physically, being familiar with swords and self defense. I need to know more and specifically why the crown prince did what he did! I look forward to continuing this series and recommend this to anyone who enjoys beautiful artwork in manga, drama, switching bodies with rival, and tons of action and revenge.
Your Throne, Vol. 1 by Sam is a historical fantasy manga where court politics has a Freaky Friday.
This volume contains the first twelve (12) episodes of the Your Throne Webtoon comic that follows two polar opposite women attempting to survive in a heavily patriarchal culture that pits them against each other every step of the way. And did I mention that there's a wish on an annual special day of prayer and oops these two women swap bodies?
The beginning was slightly confusing for me, but once I got about midway into this volume I couldn't stop reading. By the end of the twelfth episode, there were several zigs and zags that really had me intrigued. Upon finishing, I immediately went to my Webtoon app to subscribe. It was a really fun read!
There are several interstitial flashbacks that shine a new light on our two main characters. I'm excited to read more in this story to watch the characters keep growing. The art style really fits the theme and content, and I really love the artist's color palatte.
I'd highly recommend you pick this up if you like fast-paced political fantasy with tons of surprises. Especially if you like chess metaphors.
CW: violence, death, poison, kidnapping
Medea is such a queen! She was so strong and determined it made me admire her so much.
I also loved the contrast between her and Psyche. She’s the opposite of Medea and more gentle and kind.
The book starts out a bit slow and picks ups towards the halfway mark. It is gritty and dark and intense and everything fits together so well.
I’m curious to see more of that and the characters as well.
ARC kindly provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest and fair review.
I loved it! I admit it was quite confusing at first, but i need Volume 2 in my hands right now!!! And that final plot twist, my goodness!!
My rating: 3.5/4!
At first, I was a little confused in the beginning but as the story continues. I feel as though you’re able to put the pieces together and everything makes sense. Especially when it comes to the dynamic that Medea has with Psyche. Once you start to understand these two girls, I feel like this was a really interesting beginning for a unique story.
Your Throne, Vol. 1 takes readers deep into the heart of the Vasilios Empire, where the thirst for power, intricate political games, and personal vendettas collide. Lady Medea Solon, once poised to ascend alongside Crown Prince Eros, finds herself stripped of her status and forced to devise a cunning plan to reclaim her position. What truly sets the narrative in motion is the body swap between Medea and her rival, Psyche, which not only deepens the tension but also adds layers of psychological intrigue to the story.
The artwork complements the narrative beautifully, capturing the grandeur of the empire and the emotional complexities of the characters. Medea's sharp wit and fierce determination are palpable through every page, while the sinister undertones of the kingdom's ruling elite are subtly highlighted.
However, while the plot is gripping, it takes a bit of time to fully establish itself. Some pacing issues in the beginning might make it challenging for readers to immediately immerse themselves in the world. Yet, once the story picks up, it keeps you hooked with its unpredictable twists and rich character dynamics.
Overall, Your Throne, Vol. 1 is an engaging start to a dark, revenge-fueled tale, with enough depth and intrigue to keep readers coming back for more. A solid entry for fans of political drama and complex female leads.
As a prior reader for the original release of "Your Throne," the physical release was a nice way to re-read the story after months of not reading it.
I advise not to look up the character names as its mythology origins give away certain character and potential story elements. I personally enjoy it more when I didn't think about how the names reflect the characters. However, it can also reward mythology geeks for better understanding characters sharing those mythological names.
Re-reading this as a published release made me more aware of both its storytelling strengths and arguable flaw in its frequent PoV switches. This will definitely appeal to those who like a darker story and/or a cunning villainness protagonist. Once the PoV switches really come into play (no spoilers), then it becomes more frequent and I think could be harder for 1st time readers to really follow the story and characters sometimes.
Once readers get used to the format, it's intriguing to see if the villainess can remain several steps ahead based on her wit, pessimism, and cunning vs. another character who starts off innocent, but likely change once realizing this dark, unforgiving world and story.
I look forward to having the physical book to read. I remain optimistic that the physical book will be able to break up the panels well for smooth transitions. Thank you again to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for this advanced read.
I would like to thank the Publisher for approving me for this ARC, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.
What would you do if all your plans for revenge were suddenly ruined? What would you do if those plans were ruined because you woke up in the body of your sworn rival? This manga is the story of Lady Medea Solon, who should have been the next Empress. She was born into a wealthy, important family and was raised to take what’s rightfully hers. When the Crown Prince Eros puts her aside for Psyche Castella, things get interesting.
I absolutely love the richness in the artwork. It is stunning, well laid out, and fits perfectly with the story. There are so many times when the writing is just perfectly timed to deliver an emotional blow. This is just the beginning of their story, and it gets better. I cannot wait for more of the story to be published in physical form!
