Isabel "Issy" Deans is on her way to becoming a professional rugby player. She has her sights set and knows that she'll be showing her stuff at the next few games. She calm, cool, and collected until Tyler Jameson walks in as a substitute trainer.
Tyler had no idea that subbing for the coach would bring him face-to-face with the girl - now woman - he grew up next to. She's all grown up and the lust hits the second they lock eyes. Her brothers won't approve but he knows he has to have her. One month. That's all they get. One month. Will it be enough?
This was a fast-paced novella that didn't take much time to read. There are some really good aspects to the novel and some aspects that are lacking. The author's writing style is great. The dialogue is smooth and conversational. There are a couple of sex scenes with a bit of bantering and lots of steam and they were written well; not goofy, awkward, or silly. The tenderness that Tyler shows Issy is realistic and believable.
Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of character development or world building - such is the way with short stories and novellas sometimes. We know Issy and Tyler grew up together but we don't really know anything about them, together or apart. No real backstory or current information that had me connecting with either character on any level. Issy's Infatuation was indeed a "Quickie.'
