This is my first book by this author and it won’t be the last one. Of course I didn’t know what to expect but the way the book started with that man who name we won’t say I knew this was going to be a good read!
This books shows is what dealing with losing everything looks like to be being loved properly. The way Pasha navigated those things I was so proud of her at the end of this book I never felt so proud of a character in a book because the way I was rooting for her you would’ve thought she was my friend in real life.
Black Odyssey Media and NetGalley provided an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed here are solely my own.
This is a slow burn, dual POV romance that covers the heavy themes. Pasha meets Callum during a terribly traumatic time in her life, and leaves a lasting impression on him. As the story unfolds, we see Pasha work on healing and learning how to navigate life on her own while Callum is steadily drawn to her. The story lagged a bit in some places for me, but overall it was an enjoyable read with a satisfying ending.
Without giving too much away, I enjoyed the main character Pashas growth. I loved getting the story from both her and Callums POV. Raymond was a POS and Avyn may have been my favorite character in the entire book. The book touches on alot of different issues such as rebuilding friendships, starting new ones and loss in several different magnitudes. I felt there were some points that were super repetitive and I understand why it was done I just think it was overly done. Callum is also in denial about not needing to fix people/things because his initial interest in Pasha was a little over the top. Overall I would recommend this book to all my romance girlies.
Oh wow this was such beautiful story! This will be a book I recommend everyone to read, Pasha experienced some traumatic events and it’s like she couldn’t catch a break . She literally lost everything but an Angelic Man came into her life with patience and love in his heart! Callum is heaven sent and I like to think he was created specifically for Pasha ! He experienced his own struggles as well ! However he pushed through and prevailed despite his own difficulties. This couple needed each other to heal properly, they both had some terrible people whom used them for their benefit . Them finding each other was truly a blessing ❤️❤️❤️❤️.
I went into this thinking it was going to be a light read. What I received was a heartbreaking and beautiful story about the ability to overcome trauma through self love. Pashas story made me cry tears of sadness and happiness. Every woman deserves the unwavering love of a man like Callum.
Kimberly Brown writes in a way that truly feeds your soul. Hands down 5 stars for this book.
Thank you netgalley for letting me read this ARC.

It was amazing from the beginning to the end. Reading about the FMC journey from despair to happiness was heartwarming and inspiring. The romance between the two characters was one of the best I’ve seen written in a while. I love the author provided angst for the couple without the messiness of cheating, abuse, unwanted pregnancy etc.
There’s something about an intentional man!! I went into this book knowing I’d love it. Kimberly Brown’s writing is so beautiful. She creates characters with depth and a purity I love. It’s rare that an author gives the woman and the man a back story; this is one of those stories you get to learn about both love interests.
Callum and Pasha’s love story is one I will think about for a long time.
The story starts out with Pasha getting kicked out of her home by her husband of 5 years (Raymond ain’t shit). From there, she meets Callum, and this leads her to not only finding true love but also self-love.
Pasha does the work to heal throughout this book, and I honestly think Kimberly does this journey of self-healing better than a recently published book that everyone loves, but that’s neither here nor there! Callum is patient yet intentional through this entire journey. He shows up for Pasha in so many ways. I think my favorite one was the smash room date day.
Pasha is surrounded by love from her found family throughout the entire book. Which I loved because Pasha had experienced so many losses in such a short period of time. She needed people to love on her. I loved that Pasha didn’t let grief consume her in the end, she took the necessary steps to move forward and to be able to nurture a healthy relationship with Callum.
Both MC’s shared similar grief stories, but it was not a trauma bond that linked them together, which once again I loved. The similarities helped them be there for each other when the hard times came, and because of that, the work they put in rewarded them by the end of the book. Their love is so beautiful, I swear it influenced other people. side eyes, Avyn.
All of the characters, except a few, were so lovable. Everyone needs an Avyn and Bella in their corner. This is a story of grief, love, found family, and new beginnings. I would highly recommend this one.
Let me start by saying Kimberly Brown can do no wrong. I love to see her spreading her wings into contemporary romance.
This book is an excellent story of love, loss, and navigating your way through the darkness back to the light with the help of good friends and good….You have to read the book for the rest.
Thank you to Black Odyssey Media and KB for the ARC.
Whew! What a rollercoaster of a story. I found myself deeply immersed in Pasha’s heartfelt journey. Her story resonated with me on a profound level, as she navigated grief and loss, only to emerge stronger and more resilient than ever. I felt as though I was besides her at her most vulnerable, experiencing every heart-wrenching moment of her journey firsthand. The pain of her broken marriage and losses was palpable, drawing me deeper into her world with every turn off the page.
And at the heart of Pasha's journey was her blossoming friendship and romance with Callum(Every girl deserves a Callum in their life….don’t let nobody tell you otherwise). His kindness, patience, unwavering presence, love and loyalty breathed new life into her weary soul. Their love story was a delicate beauty that left me captivated, rooting for them every step of the way as they navigated the complexities of trust and vulnerability.
As much as I enjoyed the romance between Pasha and Callum, what I truly loved about this book was its authentic portrayal of the healing process, as a nonlinear journey with both setbacks and triumphs. Through moments of laughter, tears, hope, rekindled friendships and unexpected connections, Pasha transforms from brokenness to wholeness.
Her story is indeed a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the power of love to mend even the deepest of wounds.
Thanks to Black Odyssey Media and NetGalley for the ARC!
I just finished devouring "Courage to Love Again" by Kimberly Brown. Let me tell you, it's like a warm hug for your heart! 🤗❤️
This book is an emotional rollercoaster in the best possible way. From heartbreak to healing, Kimberly Brown takes us on a journey as relatable as uplifting. 💔➡️💖
The main character's journey of rediscovering love after loss is so beautifully written that it's impossible not to root for her every step of the way. And the romance? Oh, it's swoon-worthy, folks! 🥰💑
But what sets this book apart is its message of hope and resilience. It's a reminder that no matter what life throws our way, we have the strength to love again, pick ourselves up, and keep moving forward. 🌟💪
Kimberly Brown's writing is heartfelt and authentic, drawing you in from the first page and refusing to let go until the end. And let me tell you, that ending? Pure perfection. It left me with a big goofy grin and a warm fuzzy feeling in my heart. 😊💕
So, if you're in the mood for a book that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in the power of love, do yourself a favour and pick up "Courage to Love Again." Trust me, you won't regret it! 📖✨❤️
First, I want to congratulate you for first traditional published book! This is MAJOR! Secondly, as always you did your thing with this book! I loved every second of it! Pascha journey was a hard one for sure! The way you started the book made me want to jump through it! The way she had to learn to love herself again was so beautiful to see especially with someone who deals with depression and anxiety. Many people can tell us affirmations, but if we don't believe them it doesn't hit for us. Raymond can take a first-class ticket to HELL! Everything that happened to him was completely justified. Callum was a MAN'S MAN! Everything about him was amazing! From the time he picked up Pascha to even making sure she was safe and the most important thing that stood out to me was making sure her mental was straight.
Overall, this was a great story. Thank you to Black Odyssey Media and NetGalley for an ARC copy!
Whew I have to say 10/10 must read again…. Baby Kimberly neverrrrrrr disappoints and this was a quick read for me. I don’t want to spoil it but Raymond was a a-hole. I loved Callum and I’m so happy he showed Pash exactly who he was and remained true to that because she had been through a lot. I feel like we need to hear more from Avyn.
