Eep! I read this story in one sitting and it was absolutely adorable!

Rowan (FMC) sustained injuries to her face when she was a child which left visible scars on her face. As an adult, despite all of this, she is happy and has a positive outlook on life, albeit having severely low expectations for the people around her.

Jack (MMC) is an emotional recluse who, despite being a romance writer, doesn’t actually believe in the permanence of love.

Rowan and Jack are the embodiment of opposites attract. They’re very clearly drawn to each other from the get go, and resist each other for as long as they possibly can. But, what ignites the flame in Rowan’s heart is Jack’s protective nature. He has no reason to be in her corner, and yet he looks out for her in a way that no other man in her life has ever bothered to. He sees past her scars and she might actually believe him when he calls her “beautiful”.

This was such a delightful story that packed so much depth in terms of accepting yourself as you are and not relying on others’ opinions of you to determine your self esteem. The actual story behind Rowan’s scars is so heartbreaking, but gives you a deep understanding of why she is the way that she is.

This beautifully thought-out, well-written book evokes incredible emotions and has a genuine authenticity, and I never expected to love it as much as I did. This story has everything in it: characters that are real, flawed, and honest with each other, amazing cats, heartwarming foster children, a hilarious neighbourhood and found family, and lots of books because Jack, our male lead, is a romance author. Can a man get even better than that?

Even though the story is incredibly hopeful and, at times, lighthearted, the themes and topics in this one are tough and real-life struggles that are talked about realistically. I loved the character's connection because it was genuine and realistic. They fell in love slowly, with lots of banter, serious conversations, and sticking up for each other.

This book feels like a warm hug and lots of love because it also features my favourite tropes: He's her grumpy neighbour and can't stay away from her because he definitely falls first. Oh, and he writes about her. He has been ever since he saw her years before their actual meeting. Jack is the blueprint, I'm telling you. Everyone and their mothers love him for a reason.

This book is for everyone who loves books by Abby Jimenez, Mazey Eddings, and Tarah DeWitt because it handles sensitive topics carefully, and the characters will only leave your mind long after you've read their story. I definitely want more from this neighbourhood.

Thank you, NetGalley and Jessica Sherry, for my first ARC. It means a lot to me, and I'm honoured to have been able to read this masterpiece before publication.

I really enjoyed this book. Yes No Maybe follows Rowan Mackey, a high school English teacher struggling with self-image issues caused by scars on her face and neck, as she deals with a surprise proposal gone awry and moving to a new house. The house she buys just so happens to be next door to famous romance author Jack Graham.

This book explores the neighbors-to-lovers trope, dusted with a little enemies-to-lovers and reformed playboy. It's dual POV and does an excellent job of exploring Jack's past and juggling Rowan's past, present, and future. There is a third act breakup, but it isn't your typical breakup.

I found it a little difficult to connect with Rowan and Jack at the beginning of this story. However it developed into a very cozy and cute read. The emotional growth for both characters was refreshing to see. Jack is swoon worthy as a MMC. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for honest review!

A book for a laugh cy and thoughts . Rowan is an English teacher who has been proposed from her boyfried and her answer was Yes No Mayde . She just bought a new house that she loves and her new neighbours want to meet her . One stands out , Jack Graham the best selling author who happens to be very handsome . Jack has a year long writer's block but after meeting Rowan he starts writing again . She is his muse and he realises that she also is the only woman that he ever loved . She is confused about her feelings for Jack especially after a magical kiss they share . Whick man will she choose ?
First of all I loved the cover of the book . Jack is the perfect man , he never saw Rowan scars as something ugly but something as part of her . They both suffered when they where teenagers but that made them stronger . I loved that the author talked about fostering .
I received this book from netgalley and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Loved it!

A fun, fresh rom-com, it was engaging, fast paced and kept my attention throughout.

Rowan is a teacher who was stupefied when her boyfriend Dean proposes to her publically. She stumbles to answer, leaving both her and her fiance embarassed. This leads to them taking a semi-hiatus at his insistance and staying separately for the summer. There her chance meeting with her new neighbor Jack then forms the backdrop of the rest of this book.

Loved everything about this. It had romance, spice (not unbearably too much) and I loved the summer in a small town and found-family vibe. One of my favorite kinds of book settings.

The author breathed life into the characters, they were very realistic and
well written. That being said, I did not like Dean at all. I felt that he was a walking, talking red flag. His actions left me very frustrated and I was glad Rowan let him go.
The character growth of both Jack and Rowan were so enthralling to watch. They brought out the best in each other despite their stark differences in personality and background.

The book lost me for a bit towards the latter half. But it caught on just as quick and left me completely satisfied at the conclusion.
I loved the Author's writing style and though this is my first book, I will definitely be picking up more work by Jessica Sherry. Also, special mention - how adorable is the cover?!

I received an ARC of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Loved this book. It was funny and very hot. But it also had some intrigue and an unusual storyline for a romance which made it a real page-turner. I would definitely recommend it! But be prepared to swoon.

Amazing! This story was given to me as ARC and I could not put it down. I did not want the story to end I was absorbed in their world and now I long to live in a street like this and be surrounded by its people. I have given it 4 stars only because the language was abut to much for me, unnecessary amounts of swearing not required. Little bit of spice, realistic and not blown out of proportion to that could never happen territory. I want to read books and go to English class with Rowan what a cool concept, read what you love, amen to that.

Spotlight shunning book lover/English teacher, Rowan, is not a romantic. Romance is forced & fake & she much prefers simple. That’s part of the reason why she likes theater teacher Dean - a good guy who never goes over the top with gestures, & accepts Rowan’s appearance, which to her is a big deal. After suffering significant burns in her teens Rowan has lived half her life being whispered about & dissed by potential dates. Acceptance is the best she expects, so good enough with Dean works for her. Until he proposes in front of the entire school during a play. Mortified to be on public display Rowan panics & answers with “yes, no, maybe.” She instantly regrets this because she loves Dean, of course she does, she was just surprised since he knows she hates attention. Dean is humiliated & decides to take a summer apart to have some space to think. Bad timing as Rowan is about to buy her dream fixer upper & ends up next door to sexy romance author, Jack Graham. Despite bad first impressions Jack is kind, caring, as much of a book nerd as she is, & is inspired by her to write again. Not that it matters, Rowan loves Dean, loathes the idea of being anyone’s muse, & Jack would never go for a woman like her. Right?

Oh my gosh folks, I freaking loved Rowan & Jack. Their rapport was so natural & believable. I loved their slow burn & how involved their nosy, yet lovable, neighbors were. The book has a lot of ❤️ & a lil 🔥, but isn’t a straight up romance. Rowan & Jack both have some legit trauma from their teens & it plays a major role in their lives. Rowan also becomes a foster parent which is a moving part of the story. Their growth as individuals is awesome to read & their chemistry as a maybe couple is delightful. This book ticked all of the boxes for me, including an epilogue that made me cry! 4 stars, def check this one out! Pub date is April 30th, thank you @netgalley for the ARC and thank you @jessicasherry_books for giving us Jowan!

Rowan has scars from her past, both physical & psychological. She does everything in her power to stay under the radar and not draw attention to herself. Too bad her boyfriend Dean doesn’t get that memo & proposes on stage in front of everyone. He doesn’t take her indecision well and wants some space. She buys a house and ends up living next door to the infamous author, Jack.

I really enjoyed this book! Watching Rowan and Jack’s relationship form. His transformation from a grumpy neighbor to an actual friend. Their chemistry together and helping each other out was fun to watch unfold. I loved that he’s an author and she helps him through his writer’s block. I also liked him teaching her that her scars aren’t something to be ashamed of.

From page one, ‘Yes No Maybe’ had me hooked, it was funny and entertaining from the get-go. I am partial toward an imperfect heroine. Rowan is someone you just want to be best friends with and protect. However, she shows that she does not need protection and can take care of herself. Jack was the perfect hero for her with his imperfect interior from his past trauma. While they appear to be opposites, they are so alike but the way they put up barriers to keep from getting hurt again is what makes them different. This book had so many layers but was a quick and fun read.

However, around the 60% mark, I got bored and did not feel as emotionally invested in the characters. Because of that some big moments did not hit me as hard as I would have hoped. But overall, it was still a great book
.

“I will love you forever, Rowan.” His words come slowly, in a whisper. “And it won’t be long enough,” I finish with a kiss. A beautiful, emotional, love story. Jack, a famous author with block’s writer and Rowan, a passionate but shy English teacher, are made for each other. Even if their first encounter wasn’t stellar, they grow closer the more interact. The scars from their past, visible or not, are the reason they get each other. The side characters bring life and joy to their story. Family, friendship, trust and self confidence are key point in this epic love story.

A sweet read with two leads who are clearly a great match for one another (even though they don't feel that way at first!).

Rowan is a high school English teacher with a traumatic past and Jack is a hard partying romance novelist with some deep hurt of his own. When Rowan moves next door to Jack, they quickly get off on the wrong foot. Soon, however, they become unlikely friends and the feelings they begin to develop for one another threaten to upend the lives they've built for themselves.

There were moments of this that were really moving, and other instances where the dialogue and inner monologue were awkward. The pacing felt a bit off but the blossoming relationship between Rowan and Jack and the lovable characters, including the over-involved neighbors, kept me entertained.

The story of Yes, No, Maybe is the perfect recipe for a romance novel. You have the FMC, Rowan, a woman with a tragic backstory that fills her with insecurities, who experiences a public proposal gone wrong. As she and her fiance take a "break", she then moves to her dream home to discover she lives next to the handsome, elusive writer MMC Jack. They are opposites but something continues to draw them together....

I really wanted so much from this story but for me, it felt like too much going on. There are a lot of characters that shifted my focus from the heart of the story, which is Rowan and Jack.

I am a sucker for a good dual POV which I very much enjoyed here and both character developments were nicely done. The author did a great job of detailing how trauma can foster certain behaviors and mindsets. The challenges of trauma and grief are dealt with care.

Overall, it is a love story about trust in not only others but yourself. I wish it was more of my cup of tea than it turned out to be but if you're looking for a deep, not spicy romance, this might be for you.

Thank you to Jessica Sherry and NetGalley for the ARC.

Thank you, NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I devoured this book within 24 hours. It was truly captivating from the first chapter.

You follow along Rowan, who has a tragic past. Trying to decide if she’s going to marry her significant other, Dean, given their troubles they’ve been facing. Then walks in her new next-door neighbor, Jack. If things weren’t complicated enough, they really become complicated now.

This book gives you a slow burn, enemy to lovers feel with a happy ending. The character development of Rowan being a quiet, sensitive, healing woman to the strong, brave FMC I grew to love was amazing. Also, Jack being the kind of egotistical jerk, to a loving, caring man was my favorite. I was rooting for them from the beginning and I’m so glad they both got the love they deserved.

Overall, what a terrific book! I highly recommend to those who enjoy slow burn romance books!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC

A public proposal gone wrong (apparently proposers don’t appreciate the answer “yes, no, maybe”) leads to Rowan living in her newly bought home all alone, which happens to be located next door to bestselling romance author Jack, who couldn’t be more different to her…

I got about a third of the way through before accepting that this wasn’t my cup of tea. “Yes No Maybe” delivers what it promises, and I’m sure lots of readers will have their expectations met, but I didn’t get along with the writing.

What I particularly struggled with was the pace. Rather than letting readers understand things in their own time, I felt that too much information was provided, which caused the scenes to drag. The setting was however a big plus — I’m all for close-knit communities with well meaning and nosy neighbors.

We get to read from both the protagonist and the love interests perspectives, which is always appreciated — especially when they have their own voices — but I didn’t connect with the love interest’s. Maybe I would have grown to like him, but after one too many references to J.K. Rowling, I decided I’m fine not finding out.

I first wanna say thank you to NetGalley and the publishing team for an ARC copy of this book. I have always loved where the characters end up becoming neighbors and then eventually lovers. In this book you see that each character has their own own issues that they battle through. (NO SPOILERS) :) overall this book kept me entertained had me smiling, crying, laughing and actually being able to picture the characters as real life people if you like teachers and writers neighbors to lovers your gonna wanna pick this one up

I needed this book! From the start I knew all plans for my day off were going to be put on hold. I don’t know where to start. From the beginning these neighbors start out as enemies. Add in a surly foster child , meddling elderly neighbors, a surly author and one gunshot English teacher and you get the most wonderful story. I laughed, I cried, I had moments of pure joy. That’s when it’s a good read for me. I will take this quote from Jack, the main male character/ romance author. “A good romance is everything -scary, thrilling, mysterious, happy, sad , funny and dark” Not all of these apply in this book, but that’s why I read this genre. Thank you to NetGalley & Jessica Sherry for this free advanced copy in exchange for my honest review. This book truly made my day. Keep on writing, girl!

Sensitive and engaging, more substance than the usual romance with some difficult themes handled well. You really can't stop rooting for these two as they discover found family and reconnect with themselves and find new strength and direction while fighting insecurities and past difficulty. Will definitely draw you in to the end.
