Imagine this: a runaway princess, a pirate captain with more secrets than a magician's hat, and a mysterious princess who's as enigmatic as a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. Toss in some enemies-to-lovers drama, a crew of misfits, and enough witty banter to rival a Shakespearean comedy and voilà! You've got yourself a recipe for a wild ride at sea!

Our leading lady is a force of nature – strong, resilient, and ready to take on the seven seas with a swashbuckling spirit. And let's not forget our dashing male protagonist, whose charm is as captivating as the call of a siren. I can't get enough of Levi.

And the character development? Each character, from the main stars to the quirky sidekicks, gets their moment to shine. By the time you reach the final pages, you'll feel like you've grown alongside them.

As you close the final chapter, a sense of excitement fills the air like confetti at a carnival. You can't help but wonder where the next twist of fate will take you alongside these delightful characters. With hearts brimming with anticipation and imagination soaring, I eagerly await the next chapter in this extraordinary journey.

I am definitely adding this author to my must-read list. Great job with this book. It ticked all my boxes.

Princesses, pirates, shapeshifters, sea-creatures, fae, and elves? all in the SAME book?! YES PLEASE!!

The headstrong, feisty Princess Runaway with a secret past, The stubborn, haughty Pirate Captain with a dangerous secret (and smile), the fun-loving tight-knit family of a crew, and the saucy little snippets of lies, betrayals and scandals of coup.

Talk about absolutely AMAZING!!, from the witty banter, to the steamy romance, to the pulse-pounding action, The Last Leviathan had it all from start to finish! A book with an ending that has me so excited for the next one. Anacostia Miller know how to write daring, charming and ridiculously hilarious character is just the right way.

The Guardians of the Farlight Isles is a series that will now be on my "Take-To-The-Grave" list!!

The princess and the pirate. Maeve is a princess but learns to live in freedom with the help of some of my new favorite characters. After all, pirates don't do favors but do reward good work.
I love the worldbuilding, the characters, the story and Maeve and Leviathan together. The characters are all very relatable and I love that we get to know them so well but that some keep being so mysterious. I just need te next book now, please and thank you?

I received this ARC from the author and NetGalley but my opinions are definitely my own.

The Last Leviathan
——————————

— "Pirates don't do favors sweetheart, but we reward good work." —

Rating: 4 out of 5
Spice: 10 out of 5 like hot damn
Romance: 3.5 out of 5
Emotional Damage: 5 out of 5 this was a rollercoaster! We are kept on the edge of our seat from the very beginning. The bombshells, the suspense, the intrigue, the spice *internal squealing*, all of it was amazing.

This is an honest, spoiler free review on an advanced readers copy of The Last Leviathan that I received from Netgalley.

I LOVE PIRATES! PIRATES ARE HAWT! I AM A SIMP! I am also oh so cringy.

I love a good book that takes me back to my Pirates of the Carribean phase. This was just the first book in the series, and I am genuinely shocked on how much it delivered. As the beginning installment to The Guardians of Farlight Isles series it does not start slowly at all. We are not gradually introduced to this universe in a painfully boring way. We are absolutely thrown into a swashbuckling adventure that keeps you on your toes and panting for more (in more ways than one).

The plot is *chefs kiss*. I loved our main character Maeve, she was not your average damsel in distress, she got down and dirty with the other pirates and enjoyed it and I adored that about her. At the end of this story, we are left in suspense with so many questions about Maes background that I can't wait to have book two in my hands for some muthaflipping answers!!

Leviathan was one helluva man, a captain of my heart, and absolutely drool worthy. He was such an amazing character, and the magical elements in this story with him were so insanely good that I also can't wait for how his story plays out in book two.

These two together? Pour some water on me please. These two went at it like rabbits! I love the dynamic they had with the slight enemies to reluctant allies with benefits. I love a slow burn on the romance front and we were definitely left sated as they caved in oh so many times to their attraction. *Queue aggressive fanning*

The only disappointing thing for me in this first book was Leviathan did not give off the Captain persona I was expecting. I definitely felt like we could have had more moments with him living up to this role rather than what we got, and he felt a lot younger than I would expect a man in his early thirties to portray. The ending left an opening to see that growth in book two for sure though.

Overall this was a great start to a promising series by Anacostia Miller and I can't wait to get my hands on book 2!
