I got access to the advance reader's copy of this book through NetGalley and the cover and title of this book definitely caught my attention. This is a beautiful coffee book which serves as great inspiration for styling books with objects. I love how the table of contents are organized by different Nooks that exist in a household. The creativity is stunning.

A beautiful book of inspiring images. The spaces are styled nicely and the images are gorgeous. Photos are interspersed with book lists from notable people, which are entertaining. Honestly there's not much actual advice here, and I was a little disappointed how few books were showcased here. I was hoping to see creative storage for big collections, but the authors define 'nooks' as a little area with some books, rather than a book-lined room. It is very pretty, which is probably enough for most people.

This book is beautiful and definitely geared more towards visual design over practicality. I'm practicality > visuals so I don't find the information included in this book particularly helpful. I do love looking at books book spaces though. I'd put this on my coffee table to get a conversation going about books and what kind of spaces my company likes.

This was really fun to look through! I don't think there's anything super revolutionary in here, but it's a well-put-together collection for book lovers and I could definitely see it being a beautiful display piece. I also loved that the curators chose to include lists of book recommendations from authors across genres—they clearly know their audience!

As a book lover I was intrigued by the cover and title. I enjoyed looking at the beautiful book shelves in this book along with tips on how to crest your own book book. There were not a lot of more practical ideas for me personally. But it was pretty to look at

I absolutely loved this book and immediately pre-ordered! This would be the P E R F E C T coffee table book. I love how all the pictures showed books as art with form and function! I am a big fan of looking at books as art and organizing by color and size over than organizing via author or title. The inclusion of popular authors and their favorite books, a list of banned books, and a few cocktail recipes were a nice break up of the picture and write ups!

Book Nooks is a delightful celebration of creativity and coziness, offering practical tips and inspiration for crafting charming reading spaces. With beautiful photos, imaginative designs, and plenty of inspiration, it's a must-have for book lovers and DIY enthusiasts.

I found one or two tips in this book, but I was mostly searching for gorgeous aspirational images. The photos were less like the image on the cover, and more functional in nature to describe the concept. I struggled to fully connect with many of the sections, perhaps because they weren’t relevant to my life or living situation. There were interesting quote sections from authors and other cultural ‘icons’.

I enjoyed the ideas and book recommendations. I've always wanted my own book nook. I'm not sure that all of the pictures are practical and family friendly but it was a great place to get some inspiration.

Absolutely beautiful! This would be a wonderful coffee table edition to everyone who loves books and has a library or book nook in their homes. The photography is stunning! This book can also be used as inspiration to build a book nook as it contains different styles!

I found this at an opportune time since I’m currently between weeks 2 and 3 of my One Room Challenge (aka revamping my home office/hobby room over the course of 8 weeks—weeks 1 and 2 are on my blog!).

Since I love to read, a book nook is a given, so I liked that this included ideas for those with smaller spaces/people who love plants. There are also recommended book lists from popular authors strewn throughout the chapters of this gorgeous book.

That being said, if you’re looking for a guide on how to put together a book nook of your own, I’d recommend to skip this. The theme for this is definitely more so on styling your home/using books as decor + seems to favor form over function (eg stacking books on the ground, stacking them in shelves with the pages facing out, etc), so if the aesthetic is what you’re after, this would be a good one to pick up — otherwise, I’d keep looking. It’d make a good coffee table book too though as the photos are definitely pretty.

This book wasn’t exactly what I was expecting, to be honest, which might be on me. I went into it with the thought that it might be similar to a home decor magazine, with multiple examples of styled book nooks and ideas (maybe even craft ideas) on how to create your own. What it was, was a lot of dead space.

Book Nooks was utterly lacking in some ways. There were entire pages that were nearly blank, with sparse text and even sparser pictures thrown in, and most of the pictures looked so similar to one another that I kept forgetting what theme I was supposed to be looking at. The pictures were nice, don’t get me wrong, but it was all a little monotonous. It felt like a book you would pick up at a Kroger Marketplace and flip through while your partner waits in line at the pharmacy; just interesting enough to catch your attention, but not enough to keep your eyes from glazing over halfway through.

I did like the additions of recommended books! I found some interesting titles in there that I plan on looking into and potentially reading. I also thought the layout of the book (on the pages that weren’t so barren) was very easy on the eyes. But otherwise, there wasn’t much else to it.

It’s not a bad book. I just don’t find it to be a necessary one.

I was disappointed in this book. It had nice photographs, but seemed short and lacked the types of "nooks" that I was expecting.

This was an aesthetic looking and helpful book! It caught my eye as I am a book lover and enjoy seeing how people organize their shelves on Instagram and Youtube. This book was more focused on design than organization, with lots of little tips on how to make your rooms visually pleasing using books.

I liked that the book is organized by type of room, this helped to curate advice and recommend styles for each. I feel it should have been mentioned in the Bathroom section to choose books that you don't mind getting dirty or wet, as the moisture can warp or there are more areas to get the books wet.

I thought it was helpful to have curated lists from prominent authors and celebrities interspersed through the book. There even was a cocktail recipe!

I loved the images included, especially the close ups paired with the chapter introductions. I thought it brought a good starting point for inspiration and illustration of techniques mentioned.

I think the author achieves what they set for the purpose of the book, to inspire and show book nooks in many forms. I will take away some of the tips for my own living spaces.

The pictures are high quality and I appreciated the text-to-photograph ratio. It was perfect for reading and flipping through, and I particularly enjoyed the book recommendations from authors such as Gillian Flynn and Jasmine Guillory.

I know that this is a design book, and a coffee table book, so it makes sense that it's going to feature similar books, but while this book mentions that one particular person purchased decor items from Target and therefore is budget-friendly, most photographs feature very high-end books (such as Rizzoli editions) and beautiful but albeit highly stylized interiors. They're great for looking at, but actually a little difficult to draw inspiration from for real life. But that's the fun of it, I suppose.

It would have been nice to see a student's book nook, or a librarian's--and not just the upper class's.

Still, it's a fun book to look through.

An interesting book giving you ideas on how to lay out books for visual interest in different parts of the house. Will never do 90% of the techniques because they're more for aesthetics and not for how I would group/lay out my own books - i.e., due to content or use - so your mileage may vary.

The book is beautiful but oddly disappointing. This would be a nice coffee table book for your library but if you’re hoping to get real practical ideas for your space stick with Pinterest. I found the kitchen section the most fun, probably since there is vintage Pyrex in the shot.

While Book Nooks would make an excellent coffee table book, it’s not a book I would go to for inspiration over and over. Like another reviewer mentioned, I was hoping for calm and cozy, and this is a bit more chaotic and cluttered. But even though the libraries aren’t particularly my style, I can appreciate them nonetheless. 3.5 stars.
