This is full of stunning pictures of books and bookish aesthetics and I loved it, it features different decor styles and tastes as well as for each room in a house. My favorites are the empty/unused fireplace idea! Overall a fun book and I really enjoyed looking through it.
Thank you to the author and publisher for this arc.

I didn't expect much from this book -- just great pictures of book nooks and a little inspiration --but what I found was so much more. I LOVED that there were book recommendations in different sections, including a focus on diversity. For example, there was a section on rainbow books (a massive favorite of mine; I would rainbow everything if I could!) and in it the authors talked about how rainbow books can be a nod to Pride Month and celebrating LGBTQIA pride. The inspiration part was also incredible and there were many different themes and styles; anyone who loves books could find a book nook they'd want to create. I bookmarked many pages for inspiration and want to create a book nook in every corner of my home with it. This would be an incredible gift for any book lover or especially for a book and design lover like myself. A must buy if you love displaying books!

Let’s face it: Professional readers, hobby readers, book bloggers…most of us tend to have a thing for books and anything bookish, and we covet bookshelves, bookcases, and book nooks! So, which of us wouldn’t be enticed to open a book that promises a wealth of bookish displays?

This book is divided by “types” of book nooks, i.e. Bedside, Baby, The Collector, Colorful, etc. Each chapter opens with an introduction to that book nook style and includes tips on how to achieve it in your own home. Each section includes book nook porn interspersed with descriptions of how to achieve certain effects like creating functional book stacks and using color to create a fun space for books and games.

I like the photography and the articles at the beginning of each chapter, but I would like to have seen more pictures of true sitting nooks rather than so many photos of small "nooks" that are just a couple of shelves or a table. And maybe more DIY instructions how to achieve some special effects.

If you've been dreaming of creating your own cozy book nook, whether one to show off to everyone, a cozy nook for your kids, or maybe one tucked away in the corner of your bedroom, this is a great book to give you a little inspiration.

SO CUTE! The photos inspire creativity in all sorts of spaces in your living room, bedroom, bar, and beyond. I love the variety of colors used and the functionality of each of the spaces. This book is the perfect addition to any coffee table or book lover's collection. The book overall is well organized and really if you have a book buying "problem" this will help you justify your next few purchases-- thank the authors later.

The ideas in this book were not what I would use for displaying my books. I do not display my books to decorate. This book would be for someone else. I found most of the ideas repetitious. I thank NetGalley and Chronicle Books for the peek.

Book Nooks by Vanessa Dina and Claire Gilhuly is a must have for book lovers (and one that I'd love to have a physical copy of for my coffee table!). The photos are gorgeous and aspirational. The book includes some book nooks in places I wouldn't have considered (but should!) like my bar cart and kitchen. The tips for displaying books were informative and I felt like I learned a lot! The TBR lists by contributing authors were such a nice touch - I am excited to dig into Jasmine Guillory's romance recs!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy. Such a gorgeous book!

I enjoy coffee table books. This one is sure to find a favored place in many homes. The cover drew me in and inside, the photos are beautiful. They encourage browsing, whether you have a few minutes or an hour. The text is interesting - you'll explore 13 ways to display your books, whether on the floor, a shelf, or stashed in a little unused space.
There's so much to like about this book. I enjoyed the houses displayed, the reading recommendations shared by well-known authors, and the ideas. What made me smile most was the categories for each chapter - whether that was the kind of person you are or whether you're setting up a bookshelf for others.

If you're into decor or design, make you sure get a copy. It's artsy, classy, and will motivate you to head for your nearest bookstore to pick up some volumes of your own. I loved it.

I love books and love to have them all over. I love how this book helps with ideas on how to make the books a part of the home, instead of just cluttering up your spaces. Great ideas on how to incorporate them, and I loved the photos. Highly recommended. Thank you Netgalley, the author and the publisher for allowing me to read and review.

Publishes 9/17/24, I read an advanced reader copy. Beautiful, if overly saturated photos. Only one or two were what I would think of as a real readers book nook. More like shelves of books that, for the most part, seemed never to have been read and clearly staged for decor. Lots of staging with artifacts. In fairness, I did not read much of the text so won’t say anything of that.

This book has great ideas on how to create your own personal book nook. There are a variety of options to choose from, and customization is easy to adapt to your own space. The palattes of books go with themed rooms, whether its the kitchen and cookbooks, or the office armchair and a cozy novel. I would recommend this book for some good project ideas on how to balance your book collection while being creative.

Lovely book with great photos and ideas. Fun to look through and see artsy ways to style books in the home.
If you are looking for full step by step directions on how to create these books this is not the book for you.

Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC.

I was really excited to read this book to see different types of bookshelves, but I really didn't enjoy the chaos of these shelves. Stacking books on their sides at angles to make a shamrock pattern? Monsters. I do think the cylinder shelves with doors are super cute and am going to get some of those as side tables.

Thank you to NetGalley for the eARC copy!

The photography was very stunning and definitely helped me get more ideas for my own home. I enjoyed reading through this book, but I wish there were more pictures to show examples of what the chapters included (classic, bath, bedside table, garden, art, etc.).
