For anyone who finds solace and inspiration in the pages of a book, *Book Nooks* is an absolute treasure. This delightful home décor book marries the charm of literary spaces with innovative design ideas, offering readers both a visual feast and practical tips for creating their ideal reading nooks.
At its core, *Book Nooks* is a celebration of the art of incorporating books into home décor. The book draws from the aesthetic appeal of Jane Mount’s *Bibliophile* and the chic styling of Emily Henderson’s *Styled*, blending these influences into a guide that’s as inspirational as it is informative. The result is a beautifully curated collection of cozy, stylish, and imaginative spaces that cater to every reader’s dream.
The book’s pages are filled with lush photography showcasing a range of book-related setups—from opulent home libraries to whimsical reading corners designed specifically for children. Each space is thoughtfully decorated with elements that enhance the reading experience, whether through plush armchairs, elegant bookshelves, or charming objets d’art.
One of the standout features of *Book Nooks* is its versatility. It caters to various tastes and home aesthetics, presenting ideas for every room and style. Whether you’re interested in creating a sophisticated library with leather-bound classics, organizing a vibrant, color-coded shelf, or setting up a cozy cookbook corner in the kitchen, there’s something for everyone. The book offers practical advice on how to achieve these looks, making it accessible to both seasoned decorators and those new to styling their spaces.
The inclusion of reading lists from notable figures such as Gillian Flynn, Jasmine Guillory, and Nik Sharma adds an extra layer of value. These recommendations provide inspiration for not only curating your bookshelves but also expanding your personal reading list. It’s a thoughtful touch that connects the visual appeal of the spaces with the joy of discovering new books.
The physical presentation of *Book Nooks* is as appealing as its content. The book is elegantly designed with a tasteful hint of gold foil, making it a beautiful addition to any coffee table or bookshelf. Its sumptuous packaging also makes it an ideal gift for the book lover, designer, or creative person in your life.
Overall, *Book Nooks* is more than just a décor guide—it’s an invitation to transform your living space into a haven for book lovers. With its rich imagery, practical advice, and inspiring ideas, it’s a must-have for anyone looking to create a personal sanctuary where they can curl up with a good book and feel truly at home.

The book lives up to its title - cozy vignettes and lots of books! As a person who reads a lot and owns a lot of books I appreciate the different approaches to storage and display. Definitely will be taking some inspiration and practical application from this home decor book. I only wish I had a physical copy of this book to flip through. Would make a nice gift for the avid reader (book hoarder 😅) in your life.

As someone who constantly lets their books outgrow their shelf space, I was immediately drawn to Book Nooks, hoping it might inspire creativity as I find new ways to store and style my mounds of book overflow. I’ve gotten so desperate as of late that I have considered creating a book nook in my bathroom (and low and behold, there is even a section in this book for that!).
While there are some really pretty pictures in here, and people just starting out styling their bookshelves may find some inspiration in here, I think bibliophiles who have already read similar books or surfed pinterest enough will likely have encountered these ideas before. I didn’t walk away with any new idea to try, and some of the advice wasn’t the most practical (e.g. storing books with the pages facing out), but I still had a pleasant time flipping through the images. The quality of the images and the layout was pleasing to look at. And, I mean, who doesn’t love looking at books!
*Thank you to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!*

I thought this was a lovely coffee table book with beautiful photos. As a bibliophile, I felt some of the design recommendations were meant more to use books for aesthetic reasons, rather than to showcase your library. However, I think readers will enjoy looking at the photographs and may get some design ideas.

I enjoyed this book. It is inspirational for setting up my own library, which I'm in the process of doing in a spare bedroom. The pictures are lovely and the writing isn't setting the world on fire, but it's good food for thought. I'm a bit of a minimalist, so my books are contained to one book case, so I'm not inspired by the pics of an overwhelming collection, but I like working in plants and other items that would add to the look of the shelves and the end table.

Book Nooks was fine. This may be very much a YMMV, as in I was looking for cute cozy ideas for the books I like enough to own, not stylish display of random old books. This leaned much more on the fashion/ style side, than on the book lover side, in my opinion, and I really didn't get much out of it. But for folks with a more similar aesthetic, I'm sure it would be much more useful and enjoyable. Meanwhile I shall continue my quest for a book that shows how to do cozy book nooks with books you actually want to read.
Thanks anyway to Chronicle Books and #Netgalley for allowing me access to an advanced digital copy of #BookNooks .

Looking for creative ways to use books to decorate your home? I highly recommend Book Nook: Inspired Ideas For Cozy Reading Corners & Stylish Book Displays by Vanessa Dina and Clare Gilhuly. Book Nooks is a wonderful book full of illustrations and suggestions on how to use books to decorate your home. The authors have created several unique ways to use books such as creating a book display in a bathroom. Another one was a display or gardening books with plants. My personal favorite was using books to create a table. Several of the sections include a list of suggested books. Finally, a section on little free libraries and classical libraries around the world is included.
Book Nook is a great coffee table book to give to book lovers and decorators!

I like pictures of books, and that's pretty much all this is. It's not going to give you inspiration for your own home. The books are either in very specific architectural features that you almost certainly don't have, or are artistically piled on the floor which you presumably already know how to do. The photography is nice; this is just more in the vein of eye candy than of helpful design ideas.

I love the idea of this book even if the practicality of it is a little iffy. It's a gorgeous coffee table book for people who love interior design and books. The layouts are eye catching and pleasing, which minimalists and people who have collections they'd like to display are bound to find appealing. As a maximalist with tons of trinkets and little space, I likely won't try any of these ideas though.

This is probably my new favorite book. The photographs are stunning and I love that it lists some of my favorite authors and celebs and their favorite books. It has a variety of styles and spaces, and it's sure to have something for everyone. It is so inspirational, and I can't wait to redecorate my book nook spaces!

Not only is Book Nooks: Inspired Ideas for Cozy Reading Corners and Stylish Book Displays a good book for you to show that you love and collect books, but it also gives you great ideas on how to display the books you have. I’m at that point where I am quickly running out of room in my library, but this book gave me some great ideas for creating displays of my books in my home. I am now running around, relooking at nooks, crannies, and unused shelf space around my house.

This is a cute book with some good ideas for book storage and home decor. I admit, some of these I looked at and thought, "I couldn't pull a book out without them tumbling all over" which sort of defeats the purpose from my point of view. I love that this book talks about color, space, and balance in addition to addressing small areas and parts of the home you don't usually associate with books.

I really was excited by the cover picture. I was a bit disappointed in the suggestions. The photos were beautiful, but I felt the book ideas were just a bit repetitious piles of books in different places and often not practical. Just a pile of books decorated with other objects around them to create a romantic vignette. Sorry this book was full of beautiful pictures, but not great ideas that would work for me.

This is great inspiration for decorating with books. I love the creative ideas for arranging books in your home. It's pleasing and soothing to the eyes! What makes this a great coffee table book is that it's colorful and the shelves are so well ordered with lots of variety to try.
I once organized several bookshelves in our computer room/ office. They were like sideways and standing up, alternately. It was gorgeous! I came back later , and my husband had reorganized all the books into alphabetical order and all on end! Very boring and ordinary. My artistic panarama of books display was bugging him.
He uses that room all the time. Yet never reads any books! What?
This book gives me the courage and ideas to go at it again. Love this book!

Like many readers, I love not just reading books but looking at them, so the idea of a book about books as decor I just loved. And indeed there are some great photos and ideas in this book. I do like the breakdown in the book of different types of areas in a house and different methods of using books as decor in those places. And while the pictures were great, there are instances of descriptions without pictures and I would have appreciated more photos. Really enjoyable, soothing book to look at with some great ideas included.

Surprise surprise.
I came here for the book nooks, and was only expecting information and tips about them, which I would have been happy with, but this book being a nook of Chronicle nooks, I mean books, it is a nice nook - of course it comes with insights.
I ended up liking the book suggestions, tips by the nook owners/designers more than the looks of the book nooks.
The photos and designs are great, 80% to my liking, but I liked the content a bit more.

What a fantastic little read!! Not only does Book Nooks help set the imagery for maximizing spaces, it also draws on color, function and feeling of a space. The way Vanessa Dina and Claire Gilhuly were able to include books in some of the nooks is how I knew this was a collaboration by true book lovers, for book lovers. Loved it, buy it, utilize it!!

I came away with so many great ideas on how to use my collection of books. Now I wont limit them to just bookshelves. I will be able to put them in nooks in every room in my home. To enjoy whenever I feel the need.
This publication might even find its way into my collection.

📚MY REVIEW:
I requested this book from NetGalley because I love seeing how other readers create aesthetically pleasing displays of their books in cozy & peaceful reading areas within their homes. If you are longing to redo your book nook, you do not want to miss this one!
The chapters are filled with beautiful, full-color photos of book storage and accompanying decor. Each chapter offers design ideas for different spaces in your home -- everything from kids' rooms to small spaces to kitchens to bathrooms (yes, your bathroom). There are chapters that include ways to incorporate your other hobbies into your book displays too, i.e. for artists or gardeners.
What I especially loved were the reading lists within the book from some notable names: Gillian Flynn offered a list of her favorite mysteries. Alex Elle gave the reader a list of her most trusted books about healing and self-love. Jasmine Guillory shared a list of must-have romance novels. There were recommendations about cocktail books, diverse stories, and even a list of banned books.
This book was so much more than just a big book of pretty photos (though it certainly WAS!). I mean, don't get me wrong...Some of the pictures of these cozy book nooks had me drooling and low-key envious. But the book also offered suggestions and examples about how to create pleasant ways to show off your books...and how to incorporate your books into unexpected places in your home.
This gorgeous coffee table book of inspiration is the PERFECT gift for your Book Bestie -- and a perfect gift of inspiration for yourself too! ❤️ A huge thank you to NetGalley and Chronicle Books for gifting me this advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!
