One liar left was an enjoyable read. It is a well written novel, with punchy dialogue that rings true, and the descriptive writing brings the scenes to life. Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A brilliant follow up to the first book, I'm really enjoying this series! This was thrilling and dark and kept me guessing why these women were being killed... Great how it all comes together. Can't wait for the next Detective Sinclair book!
I enjoyed the different style of writing from this author. It had more of a focus on the detectives in the book which was interesting. Enjoyable read.
One Liar Left (Detective Freya Sinclair) is book 2 in this new series. This is a good serial killer thriller and has some page-turning scenes. The only problem I continue to have with this book and book 1 is the overuse of "she pressed down harder on the gas" and characters that constantly arch their eyebrows. It seemed every character was described as arching an eyebrow, and the main character, Freya was always pressing down on the gas to get places.
Besides that, the story was good, the plot interesting, and I liked getting to know the characters more. I really like Candy. Freya can be slightly abrasive and abrupt at times, but I guess that is her character persona.
I may check out more in this series, and I would probably recommend this book and book 1. The story did have some good twists. But it does take a bit to get to the end and the reader has to wade through some unnecessary scenes.
I would rate this a 3.75 out of 5 stars (rounded to 4).

Another fast paced , tension filled novel from this author . We are back with Fraya trying to solve a series of killings which seem to have a connection to the past. This book had less development of the secondary characters but more focus on Fraya —her internal struggles and how she thinks and acts as a cop. — though in this book I was able to figure out the killer a little bit before the characters in the book —
This is a great series — full of high tension and you can really feel all the characters emotions and actions — I can clearly see everything that’s happening in my mind like a movie . Looking forward to book 3 .
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC . This is my honest review .
The second book in this fabulous series. Well written characters. A tense and edgy storyline. This is for readers who enjoy a real thriller. Very descriptive.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
Freya and her team race to find the link between multiple murders that appear to have no connection except the killer. Clock is ticking, tensions rise, no one is sleeping, and the clues pile up. A tense and complex mystery that will keep you hooked, even if you guess what's going on. Solid team, hoping to see more ...
One Liar Left ( Detective Freya Sinclair Book 2) is the second book in the Detective Freya Sinclair Series. I highly recommend reading them in order.
This book is very well written and will leave you guessing until the last page. The characters were likeable and the plot was well written. I really enjoyed the pace that the book went.
This was definitely a page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
One Liar Left is the second book in the Detective Freya Sinclair series and is about how that one killer is back again that Freya never caught when two women are found dead in the woods. This book was so well written and will have you in suspense till the very last page. I could not put this book down and was turning pages till the very end. I loved the characters in this book and the team dynamics were really good as well. The book had a really good pace and the plot had plenty of action with twist and turns. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend this book and series to other readers especially if you love a good mystery. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC read in exchange of my honest review of One Liar Left.
One Liar Left by E. Shiner is book 2 in the Detective Freya Sinclair Series, published by Bookouture. For best reading experience I recommend to read in order.
Freya's next case is simliar to a previous one. With a killer who slipped through her fingers seems he's back, can it be?
Complex and complicated the book had me in susopense from start til the last page.

I absolutely loved this book. I completely devoured it in just a few hours - I couldn't put it down. It was great to have the characters from the first one appear again, and Emily has created such a wonderful crime thriller. I was guessing until the end, and loved the twists and turns in the story.
The first time I have read this Author. I enjoyed the style of writing. A solid four star read. Great premise. Good characters. Page turner. Plenty of suspense to keep me guessing Would definitely read the next novel. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to
It must be hard for a detective when there is a killer who slipped through your fingers.
This is what happened to Freya and she has never forgotten that case. She still hopes that one day, she will find the lead she needs to bring justice to the victim. And now, it seems like he is back, taunting her once again. She is determined to not let him slip away again.
Along the way, Freya is wrecking her brain, trying to figure out why he came back. Her head is in turmoil and she seems to be missing the glue to stick everything together until she finds the one thing that assures the so much needed break through...
I love the way the small team works together and the way they keep pushing. I wish someone higher on the hierarchy would be a better team player...
I enjoyed book 1 thoroughly and I enjoyed this one even more. I wish I could dive in book 3, but I will have to be patient. :) 5 stars
Thank you
This is book 2 in the series with Detective Freya Sinclair. It's well written with good characterisation and team dynamics. I liked Freya but her boss not so much! The plotting was good and the pace was steady with plenty of suspense and twists. It just failed to totally grip me, although there was plenty of action throughout. A good serial killer thriller which fans of the genre will enjoy. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.
Captain Freya Sinclair is called into investigate when two woman are found dead in the woods. One of the woman has injuries similar to the case that got away the only case Freya didn’t solve. When another woman turns up dead and links appear between the two deaths, Freya and her team are in a race against time to solve the murders.
This is such a good series (boom 2 only aside). I love the dynamics in the team. The frustration and determination they feel is very real. I liked the additional chapters in this book written by the killer, although it did give the game away just before the big reveal. The final killer from the cold case was obvious from the first time encountering the character, but getting there took time and I enjoyed the read. I definitely can’t wait to see what comes next!
