I'm sorry it took me so long to read the book. Circumstances didn't allow me to. Once I got into it, I really enjoyed the book once I realized Addie was in England. It was fast-paced and enjoyable.
Book number 10 of the Beyond the Page Bookstore series finds main character, Addie Greyborne, in England, which is not her usual locale. On top of that this is a story within a story and the perfect way for Addie to get herself back into the swing of things. In fact this one reminded me of the Addie at the start of the series. If you haven’t “met” Addie, you should know that she is fiercely loyal and will not back down to anyone, yes that includes Detective Inspectors. She never backed down to the police back in Greyborne Harbor, so she sure isn’t going to start now just because she is on hiatus across the pond. Speaking of Addie’s hiatus location, Moorscrag, West Yorkshire, is a wonderful place to get away from the crazy (see Dedication to Murder) by taking a month or two or twelve to get perspective and re‑center one’s self. Addie does miss her besties and her beloved bookstore.
The vacation or escape as some might call it is a great distraction. Working for Mr. Pressman at the Second Chance Books and Bindery book store is a great distraction. The mystery of the long lost Bronte book/engagement gift/recovery is a great distraction. Finding a body that is missing a priceless necklace is a great distraction. Addie might be in England and the land of Sherlock Holmes but I got the feeling that she was channeling some Poirot and was making good use of those little grey cells. As I said, this is a story with a story because there are multiple threads running through this story with the reappearance of Lord Bentley’s missing first and quite limited edition of Wuthering Heights. So we have a story from the past that intersects with a murder in the present. Addie is on the hunt for clues and while he might not like it, DI Noah Parker has to respect Addie’s ability to find those crumbs that turn into clues. Addie just has a way about her that gets people to open up. It might also help that she is not a copper. Addie swears that she is just looking into what happened to the book from the past and how it ended up in a thrift store.
Addie is the sort of character that you find yourself drawn to. Her emotions are almost palpable and will have you tearing up, laughing out loud, rolling your eyes, audibly sighing, and turning page after page. The interactions of the characters are natural and the story flows even with the backstory and interwoven subplots. I did not figure out the whole mystery but I was able to dodge a few of the red herrings to figure out who the culprit was. A Limited Edition was a great next chapter but the ending has me apprehensive, Lauren Elliott sure does a great job leaving us wanting more. She also left me wanting lemon tea cakes after Addie and Paige met with Mrs. Fenton for tea and clues so I looked up a recipe and made some.
Addie is still devastated from her almost-wedding, so she has temporarily left Grayborne Harbor and is now in England, and has been rather enjoying working at Second Chance Books. Addie loves books, so this job is second nature to her. Now that she feels that she is truly over her broken engagement, so she is looking forward to returning hone and seeing her friends again. No doubt she will miss the new friends she made in England. However, there is a murder. Wait! This is nothing new to Addie, as she has become a talented amateur sleuth.
So, she steps in and plans on solving the murder, further delaying her trip to return home. Murder is not the only thing getting in Addie’s way, there is also a stolen necklace and the disappearance or a rare first edition of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights. Call it skill, call it experience, but it doesn’t take long for Addie to know everything is connected one way or another. Clearly, Addie is doing what she does best - acting as the perfect amateur sleuth.
I loved this addition to the Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery series. In fact, I binge read the series and have really gotten to know Addie and some of her friends. This is indeed the perfect cozy mystery, especially bringing in the disappearance of that rare book. Then, when you factor in the snappy twists and turns, you can’t go wrong with A Limited Edition Murder.

The first edition of Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights leads bookstore owner Addie Greyborne to a murder on the moors.
Despite enjoying her extended stay at Second Chance Books and Bindery in West Yorkshire, Addie still feels adrift, far from her friends, family, and her beloved bookstore, Beyond the Page Books and Curios. She looks forward to a joyful distraction at the engagement party of her dear friend, Tony, at Milton Manor. There's an ill wind blowing at the estate: When Tony presents his fiancé with a copy of Wuthering Heights, the lord of the manor claims the book was stolen.
As Addie takes her Yorkipoo, Pippi, for a walk on the moors, she stumbles across the body of a young woman. When the police suspect Tony of foul play, Addie vows to find out what's going on. It's a twisted, treacherous path to the truth, and Addie will need to keep an eye on every step she takes.
I give A Limited Efition Murder five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!
I don’t know how Lauren continues to wow with each new book in the series. Every character grows and develops and the MYSTERY! I adore these stories
Book Review: A Limited Edition Murder by Lauren Elliott
Rating: 4 Stars
I recently wrapped up A Limited Edition Murder by Lauren Elliott, and I can’t wait to share my thoughts! As a cozy mystery enthusiast, I was immediately drawn to this book, especially with its intriguing premise set against the backdrop of the English moors.
In this installment, we follow Addie Greyborne, a bookstore owner who finds herself in West Yorkshire while working at a local shop, Second Chance Books and Bindery. Although she’s enjoying her time there, she still feels a bit out of place, missing her home base at Beyond the Page Books and Curios. Things start to take a turn during her friend Tony's engagement party at the grand Milton Manor. When Tony gifts his fiancée a first edition of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, trouble brews as the lord of the manor accuses them of theft. The situation escalates dramatically when Addie discovers a young woman's body during a walk on the moors, leading the police to suspect Tony's fiance. Determined to clear her friend’s name, Addie embarks on a perilous journey to uncover the truth.
First off, can we talk about how stunning the cover is? It perfectly captures the cozy mystery vibe. The writing itself is superb; Elliott has a way of weaving a tale that draws you in and keeps you engaged from start to finish. I found the mystery well-plotted and paced, with just the right amount of twists and turns to keep me guessing.
One of the standout aspects for me was the character development. Addie is relatable and resourceful, and I loved how her determination shone through as she navigated through layers of intrigue to protect her friend. Plus, having her Yorkipoo, Pippi, by her side added a delightful touch and some light-hearted moments amidst the tension.
I also appreciated the change of scenery in this installment—moving from Addie's usual setting in the U.S. to the picturesque yet eerie English moors was refreshing. It really added depth to the story and made me feel like I was experiencing this adventure alongside Addie. I sincerely hope that Lauren Elliott considers keeping Addie in England for future books; I think it could lead to even more captivating stories!
Overall, A Limited Edition Murder is a fantastic cozy mystery that stands strong on its own while also expanding the adventures of Addie Greyborne. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a gripping read with charming characters and an engaging plot. I’m giving it 4 stars out of 5—definitely worth your time!

Hands down the best one of the series yet! England - here comes Addie! Once again Lauren Elliott proves why she’s the best!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read this book!
I was very excited and pleased to be selected to read this EARC, because I had enjoyed earlier books in this series but hadn’t had the chance to catch up on it for a while. Like many cozy mysteries, you can jump right in without knowing or remembering details on what has happened in previous books, and this one was no exception. Addie is in a different location to her normal sleuthing territory, but this only adds to the intrigue and mystery.
I did find the plot was a little convoluted and twisty, and not always in a good way. Sometimes it was almost comical the deus ex machina that occurred to get to the ending, but we did get there eventually. I would have liked a clearer plot but it does make sense, somewhat.
Definitely would welcome the chance to go back and read the middle books I missed. Three stars.
This book was gripping and hard to put down. It didn't feel like everything else you see out there, it felt very fresh. I really enjoyed this book!
This is a great book! Lauren Elliott is fast becoming one of my fav authors. The story was complex enough to be interesting, but not confusing. The end was perfect.
Addie Greyborne has spent the last year in England, living in a cottage on her friend Tony's estate and working at Second Chance Books and Bindery in West Yorkshire. She misses her American friends and her own bookstore, Beyond the Page Books and Curios but is very comfortable with her new life and friends.
Addie is due to visit home after Tony's engagement party. Unfortunately one of the party guests is murdered and Tony's fiancé is the prime suspect.
While investigating this murder, Addie discovers that it's related to an unsolved murder of another young woman twenty years ago.
It's a complex and interesting story, which I found totally enjoyable.

Lauren Elliott's "Limited Edition Murder" is a captivating addition to the cozy mystery genre, delivering a delightful blend of intrigue, charm, and bookish allure that will keep readers thoroughly engaged.
A great addition to an incredible series! Wonderful characters in an incredible setting. This book will keep you guessing until the end.
As much as I loved the mystery part of this cozy mystery I was somewhat confused by what direction the series will be taking going forward with regards to location and friends. With that being said I will be eagerly awaiting whatever Addie and Pippi's next mystery will be!

This is my favorite mystery to date in one of my favorite cozy mystery series. Addie’s life changed tremendously in the preceding mystery, “Dedication to Murder”. Since then, she has been in England for over a year, visiting one of her dearest long-time friends, his fiancée, and her new friends. She is a very different young woman than when she boarded the plane for what she thought would be a two-week visit. Her basic personality and her heart for people are the same, but she is stronger, more resilient, and content with her life.
Addie owns Beyond the Page Books and Curios in Greyborne Harbor, Massachusetts. She inherited the family home in Greyborne Harbor, moved there, and opened her bookstore. She enjoyed her life, loved her friends and her business, and Pippi, her sweet pup. She had helped the local police solve several murders, and with the help of her friends was quite good at it.
Each character is designed with care. I learn more about the regular characters in every novel, and those who are only in this mystery, through realistic interactions, behaviors, and actions. Serena, Addie’s best friend, has her tea shop next to Addie’s bookstore. Serena has twin toddlers, one of whom is named after Addie. She is also very close to Paige, her store manager.
I like who Addie has become in the past year even more than I did in the past. Each time she planned to return home, something changed, so she postponed it. She loves England and the life she has in Moorscrag. She rents the cottage on the property where her friend Tony, a best-selling author, lives. He and Addie were very close friends in school, then ran into each other for the first time in many years where Tony’s American estate is. He lives primarily in Moorscrag, at Milton Manor, the ancestral estate of Tony’s publisher, Lord Bentley, who resides in London with his wife. Tony invited Addie to visit him in England and let her heart heal from devastating events. He recommended her for a temporary position at Second Chance Books and Bindery. The owner, Mr. Pressman, is one of the best book restoration craftsmen in the UK.
Addie is like a light, refreshing summer rain. She is kind-hearted and tries to turn discouragement into something positive and beneficial. Her cousin in London, a popular clothing designer, is her only living relative. Addie made several new friends in Moorscrag, including Tony’s fiancée, Hailey, but her friends in America want her home “where she belongs”.
Tony and Hailey’s engagement party was held at Milton Manor. There was an uninvited guest whose significance wouldn’t begin to unfold until the next day. Tony presented Hailey with a special engagement gift. A bibliophile, she was thrilled to receive the limited first edition of Wuthering Heights. Later that evening, Lord Bentley confronted Tony about the rare book. It had gone missing from his private library over twenty years ago – and he wanted it back.
The following day was damp and foggy. Pippi insisted on her walk and, unleashed, ran toward one of her favorite places on the moor. Pippi drew Addie to the remains of a woman she ran into – literally – at the party the night before. She remembered the woman’s elegant, antique pendant with a sapphire and diamonds, as she accidentally spilled champagne on it when running into her. She no longer wore it, and her neck bore wounds of its forceful removal.
Nobody knew the woman, not even Hailey or Tony. Yet within hours, Hailey was accused of, then charged with, the murder. Detective Inspector Noah Parker didn’t seem to like anyone and he especially didn’t believe there was any other possible killer. As Addie began to look into it, she found several indications of it being connected to a twenty-year-old cold case, when Hailey was too young to have been involved.
Solving this case would be difficult if not impossible. Inspector Parker and Addie were determined to get justice for the unknown woman – separately, of course. I had my pet suspect, Addie had hers, Parker wouldn’t share about an open case, and the clock was ticking on Addie’s return to Greyborne Harbor. Pages flew quickly to the tumultuous denouement. This complex, in depth, mystery and its conclusion were very satisfying, and I highly recommend the novel and series!
I have enjoyed the books I have read so far in the Beyond the Page Bookstore series. This one was a wonderful addition to the series. The characters are well developed and I have fallen in love with Addie. Experiencing her life in England while she is recovering from an emotionally damaging situation. There are lots of twists and turns as the clues keep popping up that will keep you guessing until the end. And believe me! There is a whopping shock at the end. I am anxious to see whether Addie actually returns to the US or if there are hopes for a new relationship in the UK that will help her heal from her broken heart. Can’t wait for the next visit with Addie and the rest of the characters in this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Cozies for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

A Limited Edition Murder: A Beyond the Page Mystery

Review by Cynthia Chow
After a shocking revelation about her family and a devastating breakup with her fiancé, bookstore owner Addie Greyborne accepts her friend Tony Radcliff’s offer to visit him in England and take on a new temporary job in the small West Yorkshire village of Moorscrag, England. Working at the Second Chance Books and Bindery has allowed Addie to meet a new welcoming assortment of friends, as well as be able to attend the engagement party of Tony and his fiancée Hailey Granger. Addie’s planned year in England is about to end though, and despite her numerous postponements she is preparing to return home to New England and deal with the emotional fallout. The celebrated visit of Tony’s publisher, Lord Bentley, is quickly overshadowed by his declaration that Tony’s gift to his fiancée was stolen. Lord Bentley asserts that the extraordinarily valuable limited edition of “A Wuthering Heights” was taken out of his manor twenty years ago, with a missing maid accused of the crime. Not long after this shocking news is Addie’s discovery of a mysterious woman she met at the engagement party, causing Addie to once again put on her investigator’s cap to solve a few murders. Addie doesn’t have the same cooperative relationship with Detective Inspector Noah Parker as she did with Detective Marc Chander back home in Greyborne Harbor, and despite the DI’s Henry Cavill’s good looks Addie’s not about to allow him to prevent her from helping her friends.
This 10th in the series could easily serve as a standalone as a result of the change of location and introduction of new characters. Loyal readers will still rewarded be though, as they will enjoy following Allie’s reclamation of her confidence and discovery of a possible new path for her life. She will have to make extremely hard choices over what she wants in her life, something made even more difficult when her two best friends visit her in England. It hasn’t gone unnoticed that Addie has been putting off her return, indicating that her subconscious may be trying to make the choice for her. As much as readers may have enjoyed her adventures back in her New England Beyond the Page bookstore, they will be rooting for her to continue to pursue the healthier relationships she has been forging in the charming town of West Yorkshire. At least everyone can be reassured that she will continue to have the companionship of her Yorkipoo Pippi, not to mention her love of books and bookselling. Whether this is the end of an entertaining bibliophile mystery series or the start of a brand new one, readers will look forward to the next appearance of this determined lead character.
Princess Fuzzypants here: Addie is still lingering in Yorkshire until the engagement party of her friend Tony and his fiancee Hailey.. Her return home may be delayed further when she discovers the body of a mysterious woman on the moors. It turns out the deceased has connections to the Manor that might be connected to a murder and theft in the past. Limited edition books and one of a kind jewellery are at the heart of the mysteries. If Addie is correct, solving the two thefts might lead them to a single killer. That is if the new DI will listen to her.
DI Parker is in Yorkshire after a checkered past in London. Henry Cavill handsome, he is also proving a match for Addie’s wit and intelligence. Could it be she is finally leaving her sad romantic past behind and finally starting to wake up again. But he is insufferable and she is leaving. What hope would there be for anything to develop. I have a feeling we might find out in the next volume of the series. I love the way the author has managed to blend the storylines on both sides of the Atlantic seamlessly. The reader has to remember there are two parts to this tale. It is a testament that it works so well and that the puzzle pieces fit together in a most entertaining and fascinating way.
Five purrs and two paws up.
A Limited Edition Murder by Lauren Elliott is the tenth A Beyond the Page Bookstore Mystery. I recommend reading this series in order as there are a number of characters and backstories. Since I did not read Dedication to Murder, I felt like a fish out of water for the first few chapters. At the beginning of the story, we are introduced to a host of new characters (residents of Moorscrag) when Addie goes to the Crooked Lane Pub at the end of the day. It is a challenge to keep track of the various villagers. Addie is well liked by the townspeople. I enjoyed the descriptions of the village, and the cottage Addie is residing in. The bookstore sounded delightful (a haven for booklovers). I would gladly trade places with Addie. I wanted the special copy of Wuthering Heights for my library (do you think I can reach into the story and pull it out). It makes a special engagement gift (well, for a moment). The mystery was interesting yet easily solved. The detective inspector is arrogant and unlikeable. We do get to see him in a different light later in the book (by that time, I wanted to shove him off the Almscliffe Crag). The story moved at a leisurely pace. Pippi, Addie’s tricolored Yorkipoo, is a cutie (my mother would like to pull Pippi from the book). There is a going away party for Addie at the pub, but we are left to wonder if she will depart for Greyborne Harbor or linger in Moorscrag, West Yorkshire (I vote for Moorscrag).
Addie is coming to the end of her year in England, working at Second Chance Books and Bindery. She is invited to her friend, Tony's, engagement party, a gala event held at Milton Manor, and catered by not only his regular English staff, but also his staff from America. During the course of the evening, Addie accidentally spills her drink on one of the female guests, and then later, during a stroll along the moors with her Yorkipoo, she stumbles upon the woman's dead body. The investigation by the new DI puts both Tony and his fiancee under suspicion. Addie is torn between getting ready to leave England and the friends she has made here, and solving the murder before she leaves. Will this put her in jeopardy, and what to do with the handsome DI and his obvious dislike of her interference. I loved all the diverse characters in this story, and the tying in of the current events with events in the past. I hope there are more stories of Addie's adventures, specifically in England for a longer stay. Disclosure: I am voluntarily reviewing this book received through NetGalley and all opinions are strictly my own.
