Loved this. I really enjoyed everything about this. I loved the story completely. It will stay with me for a long time. I appreciate that the author has very strong voice - one I really enjoy.

This was a very cute, easy read! I really enjoy the chemistry between the two main characters, and I loved watching their romance organically develop. The way they took opportunities to get to know each other and have good conversations really nice I could have done without the secondary storyline With the main character sister. That storyline was too much Insta love for me and I don’t feel it added any value to the overall story. Overall, I did enjoy the lighthearted, sweet romance and would recommend.

I did listen to this on audio and while I feel the narrator did a good job, I would have appreciated having different narrators for the several perspectives that we following this book. The one narrator of the story did not use different voices for each character which sometimes made the book art to follow.

I have to be honest - I DNFed this book halfway through. I don't think it's bad, I just couldn't connect to the characters in any way, so the book was slow to me.

Thank you, NetGalley for an advanced ARC of this book as an audiobook

This book was adorable and had one of my favorite tropes fake dating, I read this book fast, and was adorable but also had moments that made me laugh 😃 the story was fast-paced and also with two main characters that I felt had pretty good character grow with each other.

A book I definitely will buy for myself and a book i will definitely have on my reread list

Love in Tandem by Becca Kinzer is a tale of unlikely people falling in love. The story had numerous times that made me laugh aloud as I listened. I could really resonate with the main character. Overall, this was a fun listen.

this was a meandering book that I didn't quite understand or connect to. Strong faith connection while folks excused behavior that was not quite thoughtful or faithful

This book is a fun time for lovers of fake dating and forced proximity. It is also full of satire and had me laughing from start to finish. I really enjoyed the author’s style of story-telling, and will be giving her other books a try in the future. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by romances written by Christian authors lately and I’m loving it!
Thank you NetGalley and RB Media for the ALC in exchange for my review!

This book was a cute little read (although i listened on audio, you know what i mean)! It was a great palate cleanser and it is clean romance (no spicy scenes). Despite this being a "Christian romance", I feel like religion wasn't a major part of the book. I loved following Charlotte and Zach's journey and seeing their relationship progress.

I loved following Zach and Charlotte on their adventure while learning about their back stories. Watching the relationship grow was fun. Loved that it was a fun and clean book. Loved the narrators take on the characters. She did an amazing job voicing them all.

the audio helped so much since it is 3rd person but even then the author Becca did a great job writing, explaining, and telling us everything which most authors do not do well. But to the GOOD PART this was such cute and fluffy read. I loved that God and some gospel was in this book really love the way Kinzer mended the too it was not too much nor too little. The Fake dating was hilarious i love the dialogue it felt so realistic and the bike ride was so funny lmaoo with their banter and Char was so relatable i am not in the best shape so i cannot imagine biking such distances lol and lastly narrator made everything all the better

i listened to love in tandem at just the right time; it was exactly the book i needed, and i had the absolute best time with it.⁣

it’s all sorts of chaotic as charlotte winds up at her ex’s wedding as the (fake) date of his brother zach (and his ex also happens to be the bride). then, to make matters more complicated, they get signed up to do a 500-mile tandem-bicycle couple’s challenge—and though she’s not outdoorsy at all, charlotte can’t refuse because the prize money could save her music program.⁣

of course, hilarity ensues as nothing goes quite right on the trip. i loved seeing charlotte and zach through the ups and downs (sometimes literally) of their journey—with plenty of banter, faith, and sweet, sweet romance. it’s wild and ridiculous and a whole lot of fun.⁣

if you’re looking for an adventurous good-time read, this one is perfect for summertime.

I wasn't aware that Love in Tandem is Christian Fiction and I would not have requested a review copy had I know this beforehand. The genre just isn't my cup of tea, and this book wasn't really for me.
Additionally, the humour didn’t work for me.

A cute, clean romance. I had never thought about tandem bikes as a metaphor for love but it turns out it was the perfect vehicle 😉

However, I have some serious issues with this book.
1. I didn't look at the good read reviews and NetGalley didn't mention that this was a Christian Romance. As someone who is not overly religious, I didn't love the "keep the faith," "thoughts and prayers," and general God talk in the book.
2. They don't start the bike ride until 42% in. I feel like I was lied to about how much of this book was going to be the bike ride.
3. As a person who was told I had to get out of my small town if I wanted to do anything meaningful with my life, I didn't love the narrative that no one would every want to be with Charlotte because she didn't want to leave her hometown in Bailey Springs, Illinois. I understand that love is sacrifice but after that whole thing, why was Charlotte the one who had to give up on her dreams to make the relationship work? Why was there no compromise? Zach got everything he wanted including the girl, and Charlotte had to leave her family and her job behind. How is that fair?
4. Not a negative but it was jarring at first for Sophie to have her own chapters. I really enjoyed her story, but I wasn't expecting it.
5. Maybe I missed it but Melba's story was NEVER resolved and that will haunt me forever.

Not my favorite book, and frankly, I will probably never read another one of her books. It was cute, the side characters were fun, and the story was okay. Not a bad cup of tea, but just not my vibe.

2 Stars.

Charlotte is our main girl in this story. She was engaged and about to marry Ben 2 years ago when he left her for his brother Zach’s girlfriend… Charlotte runs the school music program, but she just found out the funding was cancelled.
Zach’s ex is about to marry his brother when he runs into Charlotte. Somehow, they enter a contest to ride a tandem bike for 500 miles for a chance to win a big cash prize, which he really needs.
The 2 of them embark on a journey riding and camping while really getting to know each other. The story is very cute, and I enjoyed reading it. I really liked that there was a Christian base for the story.
I found it a little distracting having her sister Sophia’s story going on simultaneously. Kind of like it was 2 books in 1 but with Sophia’s being a very condensed, rushed story.
Overall I enjoyed the read. Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

This was super cute but had some gaps for me.

The author seemed to skip over parts that I was actually looking forward to experiencing, like the much talked about kayaking trip and our leads first time doing anything together, we just completely pass over it with barely a mention.

We hear multiple times about her brother and his time in jail, but we are never told why he went to jail.

She suddenly has a memory of the time her brother ties her up and then that becomes the entire reason for his participation in her life, it felt like an afterthought that was then plugged in as a solution.

It is more than unbelievable to say that a person can go from no physical activity to completing 60 miles a day on bike for nearly 10 days. It just doesn't work.

What can I say? I'm a sucker for romance books and I really enjoyed this one.

The whole book was so heart warming but also so funny how everything lined up for Charlotte to end up at her ex-finance pre-wedding dinner and ended up into fake dating his brother.

But it did keep me wondering when the main characters will get together as they were so different and even if they spent a lot of time together, it felt like they were never wanting to go through.

Anyway, I want to thank to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for offering a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I really wanted to love this book and it had a lot of great elements for it was trying to do too many things that it sacrificed doing any of them very well. There are 5 major plot points here and I feel like I got a bit cheated out of getting the full story of all of them. I still liked the book, but I don't feel like I can recommend it.

The pacing also is very odd in this book. We fly through certain scenes and miss any grounding details but then sit in scenes that don't add much to the plot.

Also, this book does touch on faith but in an abstract, non- descriptive way that left me wanting more. There was so much opportunity to handle crisises of faith in an honest God honoring way, but it just teased us with this plotline.

My major takeaway from this is I wish this would have been a series of books vs one book so I could have felt more connected to the character and their stories and there would have been more space to let their stories breathe.

Thanks to Netgalley and Tyndale House for the gifted copy.

Such a fun story! I truly enjoyed it! I laughed out loud several times and had some really emotional moments as well. Love in Tandem is the story of two people: charlotte is a music teacher who hates the outdoors; Zach is an outdoorsy adventurer. When they somehow end up on a tandem bike ride together for a large sum of money, they find a whole lot more. Highly recommend! Great book!

"Love in Tandem" is a quirky romcom with slightly neurotic characters that I found highly enjoyable.

Charlotte Carter is looking forward to summer vacation until she learns that the funding for her music program has been cut at school. So, now she'll need to find the money to keep the program going or risk losing her job.

Zach Bryant has reluctantly returned to town for his brother's wedding. Unfortunately, he's marrying Zach's ex-fiance. So this ought to be fun... (Not!)

What makes matters worse is that everyone thinks he's brokenhearted over his ex and that he'll make a scene at the wedding, when in fact, he's relieved. He couldn't wait to get as far away from home as possible, and the breakup gave him just the excuse he needed to leave town. Now that he's back here, he'll need to figure out a way to convince everyone that he is fine... Really!

As Charlotte and Zach cross paths, a misunderstanding puts them in the awkward position of realizing that fake dating each other may solve both of their problems, at least for the time being. But what started out as fake soon becomes more tempting than it should, especially since Charlotte is not only his childhood friend, but she's the one his brother left to marry his ex.

If you enjoy a bit of chaos and high-strung theatrics in your romcom, you'll want to check out "Love in Tandem."

Thank you to Becca Kinzer, RB Media and NetGalley for an advance review copy.

This is a cute read (Christian contemporary romance)! It's heartwarming, sweet, and a fun adventure. Keep in mind that it's fiction so yes, I'm sure the author knows that your average Joe wouldn't be able to bike 50-70 miles in a day...for multiple days. My husband is an avid cyclist, so I had to chuckle at the absurdity, but it still made for a cute story!
