An interesting read, and yes somewhat brief. Stephen Hawking is so well known globally, yet we mostly know little of his early life. Thus it was interesting to read, and to see the photos of him and his family. The autobiographical part soon gives way to physics, which of course is to be expected, but I could not really get into the detail of this. I guess the ordinary layman is perhaps more interested in the person behind the physics, rather than the nuts and bolts of the physics itself.
