"The Invisible Code" by Christopher Fowler is a mystery that is the tenth installment in the Bryant & May series.
A woman is called a witch by children, then dies in a church. A police official’s pretty young wife is slowly being driven insane by unseen devils. A photographer meets a timely demise. At first, these crimes seem unrelated. The only solution is to call on eccentric detectives Arthur Bryant and John May to solve this seemingly supernatural crime.
This is a great series and the 4th one I’ve read. Bryant and May are odd and smart and full of esoteric knowledge. While the book could have been paced a bit better, I still couldn’t solve this one until the end. I enjoyed it.

I tried to get into this book but never really felt fully engaged in it. I think it's probably a great book for those who are already familiar with the characters and the series, but not a great book to jump into the series midway. While I love the supernatural element, it never really caught me up in the story.
