Absolutely loved GOOD VIBES BAKING by Sandro Farmhouse!
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and originality of the recipes. This is a beautiful books with original recipes. The photographs are so appetizing, it gives you the inspiration to try them.
I enjoyed Sandro’s presence on the Great British Bake Off and was thrilled to review his cookbook.
I would recommend this cookbook to any dessert lovers!

There are dozens of reasons for us to bake. However, Sandro Farmhouse, a runner-up in the Great British Bake-off, has come up with a new one that most of us haven’t thought about. Baking gives us good vibes. He explains and illustrates this in his excellent cookbook, Good Vibes Baking: Bakes To Make Your Soul Shine and Your Taste Buds Sing.

Just perusing this cookbook will give anyone “good vibes.” The recipes are very appealing and absolutely tempting. There is enough variety to keep most of us creating spectacular desserts for months. The recipes are written in the traditional manner with a list of ingredients followed by step-by-step instructions to insure perfect results. The author has also included notes at the beginning of each recipe with helpful comments.

While there are some beautiful, professional photographs of the recipes, all are not pictured. This is the only negative aspect of the cookbook. Nevertheless, there are enough to entice anyone to prepare all of them. Frankly, there are no recipes in this cookbook that readers won’t want to make. Many are unique and many are familiar, but with new twists. Besides the recipes for beautiful desserts, there is an excellent section on basic recipes and Techniques which is very helpful.

All told, this is an excellent choice to add to any cookbook collection.

I didn’t really like how they edit his cookbook, kinda messy and not pleasant to read. The recipes have funny names like Drip Drip Drip for a cake, Ill bring you flowers for another cake. The photos are very colorful and fun. The recipes look creative and unique and I would love to try them at some bakery. I love the premise and the positivity of this cookbook. Sandro has mixed his talents as a baker with his upbeat and fun-loving attitude, to bring us a cookbook with a whole new slant.The good vibes of baking. Farmhouse wants to help show us how we can connect our emotions to food, and then connect those emotions to a recipe, or cake. The chapters are broken into feelings - Love Language, Touch The Sky, Sharing Is Carin, to name a few--not by course, main ingredient, or category, and it works. The pairings are perfect, delicious and thoughtful. Sandro grew up watching his mother bake, but it was not until later, when his father passed, that he began baking. He began with store bought mixes, learning by trial and error, and became so talented, and his baked goods were so tasty, he was a finalist on 'The Great British Bake Off' in 2022. It's one of my favorite baking shows, and that was my introduction to Sandro Farmhouse.

Recipes like Millionaire Eclair, Rum-Spiced Pineapple Tarts, Pistachio Flapjacks and Orange Creme Brulee Cupcakes sound so good, and most of the recipes are fairly easy. There is also a chapter explaining techniques that help you learn to make excellent buttercream, and how to level and stack cakes, and other helpful hints. You will feel good vibes reading this and baking the recipes.

The joy and delight Sandro Farmhouse shares is so relatable and his outlook on the ujfood/emotion connection is wonderful. This is his debut cookbook, and I hope its not his last. He could not have come up with a better title. He is an amazing man.

Easy to follow and great for hosting

A fun and unique baking cookbook from one of the finalists on The Great British Bake Off.
The recipes are in chapters more about feeling than recipe type (descriptions are distilled from the intro blurbs):
Love Language - recipes to warm up someone's heart or tell them you love them
Give Me Confidence - if you can make the recipes in this chapter, you can bake anything
Lift Your Spirits - for days when you need a mood boost
Touch the Sky - showstopping cakes
It's a Fiesta - things to take to parties or gatherings
Sharing is Caring - made to be shared with friends or neighbors to bring them joy
Many Hands - for baking together with others (kids, roommates, friends, etc.)
Basic Recipes and Techniques - good info on the steps of cake assembly and recipes for some basics

The book was fun to read and had what sounded like lots of great recipes. I just wish every recipe had a photo. My rating is for that, and because I'm the type of baker that prefers having all items of one type together. This is a great book for people who love The Great British Bake Off or are looking for some new and ambitious desserts to try.

I liked this baking cookbook. I liked that it’s not just simple baking recipes. There’s a whole chapter that is not for new bakers. It gives you something to work towards. Very cool.

This is a beautiful cookbook and a great baking guide, from the gorgeous images to the tips for baking and the creative recipes.

First off, I'm SO GLAD I was able to read this on my phone. I have loved Sandro since his time on Great British Bake Off, and his cookbook did not disappoint. I cannot wait to start baking some of these recipes!

This desert book has such a good vibe. Lots of amazing photos, showcasing the creative showstopper decorations. The recipes that I tried worked out perfectly.

Good Vibes Baking was written in a simple way to make some amazing bakes! I loved all the photos that were in this book and the straight forward method of teaching folks and sections made this a lovely read.

I will admit to rewatching Sandro's Season of The Great British Bake Off before reading this book just to make sure I could mark down all my favorite recipes.

I have followed Sandro ever since he was on The Great British Bake-Off. I was so excited when I saw he wrote a cookbook. I found this cookbook really fun. The recipes were really interesting and inventive. I like that there are so many recipes that are completely new to me. The photos are really beautiful and definitely entice me to make more of the recipes. While the recipes are unique, they seem like the type of recipes that most people would enjoy. I particularly enjoyed the techniques section at the end of the book. I think this book would make a beautiful gift. I would recommend this cookbook.

HUGE plus right off the bat: unlike other cookbooks I’ve received from NetGalley, this one is actually formatted as an e-book instead of being a PDF so I can easily read it on my phone! I also love that it has both US and UK measurements.

His voice was so entertaining, the pictures are great and make the food look so gorgeous and delicious (although I do wish there were photos of all of them). I saved sooo many recipes from this and I can’t wait to try some of them once I have all my baking supplies on hand. I like that there’s different levels of skill and time/effort recipes in here and in fact I saved so many I might actually end up buying this once it comes out tbh.

Flamboyant and bold...

This book is flamboyant and bold. With sturdy cakes and over the top boozy flavors. Not flimsy or delicate, not petite and dainty. Just the opposite. Think layers and layers and color.

I liked that it was designed for my phone, cuz, let's face it, that's what we use in the kitchen. Best for bakers with intermediate skills, and maybe not for the beginner.
With a dash of fun and positivity.
Recommend.

Recipies look very good.

Sandro!!!!! As a Great British Baking Show super fan, I was ecstatic to see fan-favorite Sandro from the 2022 season release a book!

This is a really fun cookbook! Each section is separated by “vibe” (e.g., Give Me Confidence, Lift Your Spirits). There are several what I would classify as advanced bakes (as I expected!) but there are also several easier bakes I am excited to try! I am most looking forward to baking the Brownie and Strawberry Cookies!

Several beautiful pictures throughout, many with Sandro, but some recipes have zero pictures which is my biggest cookbook pet peeve and knocks a star from my rating.

Overall, a beautiful, fun cookbook I would recommend to any baking enthusiast or Great British Baking Show fan!
