I enjoyed the three novella’s included in this delightful Christmas collection. Each story has its own unique charm. I hope no one asks me which one is my favorite because I am not sure I could choose between them. I loved each of them! Often novellas feel rushed with characters lacking depth. That is not the case with this collection. Each story has delivered above and beyond expectation! Multifaceted characters who each have their own strengths and weaknesses as well as growth. And the chemistry between each couple is electric! A page-turning delight!

One Liner: Sweet!

This is a collection of three novelettes set around Christmas and feature Mistletoe in some form. Set in wintery small towns, each story has a couple that will fall in love and a community with all the cozy vibes. All stories are Hallmark-style and can be a little too sweet for some.
TBH, I requested this book mainly to read Pepper’s The Mistletoe Prince. Prince Arran is Ellie’s brother, mentioned a few times in Loyally, Luke. I knew I had to read his story. The other two stories were a bonus. ;)

Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller – 3.5 Stars
Emmy Banks loves Christmas. After all, she lives in Mistletoe, Missouri. Kieran O’Neill has lived in Ireland, renovating a castle for over twenty-five years. He returns to Mistletoe for his mother’s seventieth birthday. Kieran is Emmy’s bestie’s older brother and a childhood friend. Renewing their friendship is easy. But what happens when they want more, and Kieran has to leave the town?
The story comes in Emmy and Kieran’s third-person POVs.
The characters are in their 40s, a good change from the younger romances. The setting is quite beautiful with the small-town vibe (where everyone knows everyone). The Christmas theme is also done well with an abundance of decorations, the winter fair, hot chocolate, etc. The romance is okay but I cannot help but wonder if it would have been better as a slightly longer piece. Even some 4-5 pages extra would have done the trick. It is still sweet, though.

The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham – 4.5 Stars
Prince Arran of Skymar has to spend three months in a small town in North Carolina, where his sister Ellie lives with her husband, Luke Edgewood. This ‘punishment’ is also a chance for Arran to become his former self and find out who he is if not a prince with a title. Charlie, Luke’s cousin and carpenter, is a tomboy hiding in plain sight and suffering from low self-worth. The Christmas fundraiser is her chance to prove her worth. Can the two broken hearts mend each other as the season works its magic?
The story comes in Arran and Charlie’s third-person POVs.
This is the longest story in the book, which means it has enough space for proper development and the traditional arc (including a sort of third-act breakup). Charlie and Arran are lovely characters and easy to root for. Luke has enough presence and adds charm to the plotline. Ellie and Penelope have a teeny scene each but that’s fine. The focus remains on the main characters and their growth. There’s a light touch of faith, similar to the other books in the Skymar series. Beautiful!

Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts – 2.5 Stars
Hailey Fairchild is a romance author whose love life is a mess, thanks to her Mistletoe weakness. Seems that she cannot resist men who kiss her under the mistletoe and learn her lesson late only to repeat the cycle. Of course, it all started with her crush on her brother’s best friend and the popular guy at school, Carwyn Davies. Back in her town for Christmas, Hailey is determined to break the cycle but life may have other plans for her.
The story comes in Hailey’s first-person POV.
This is the shortest and weakest story in the collection. While Hailey’s voice is quirky enough, I couldn’t connect with her. (Hard to when you end up calling the MC an idiot right at the beginning). There are quite a few tropes and with no space for exploration, the story feels underwhelming. It does deal with some important themes like bullying, lack of confidence, fears, etc., but the approach didn’t work for me.

Since it is a Christmas-themed sweet romance collection, I’m rounding it up to 4 stars (also coz I liked the story I wanted to read).
To summarize, Mistletoe Season is a super sweet set of three novelettes with a Christmas theme as the central point. Check out others' reviews before you decide.

Mistletoe Season is a collection of three Christmas stories that are perfect for reading on a cold day, with a hot cocoa and a blanket.

First story is “Return to Mistletoe” by Kathleen Fuller.
We have Emmy and Kieran in a best friend’s brother second chance romance. I liked that the characters are mature and my only issue was that it is too short. The problem that “broke them up” was solved too fast. But it is a cute story anyway.

“A Mistletoe Prince” by Pepper Basham is the longest story from the book and I liked that the couple had more time together. Arran and Charlie had a funny but painful first meeting and then they discover that they will work together. It feels like a Hallmark holiday movie and I really enjoyed it.

Last story is “Say No to Mistletoe” by Sheila Roberts. This is my favorite. Hailey is a romance books author that comes back to her home town to promote her book. She thinks that mistletoe brings her bad luck in love.
I liked that it is written in first person and it has quotes at the beginning of each chapter.
It is a second chance romance where he is her brother’s best friend and neighbor from childhood. I liked Carwyn from the beginning and their story is really sweet.
Even if it is short, the author managed to solve the long distance relationship issue.

This followed Emmy who was a local in Mistletoe, Missouri. Her best friend's brother Kieran was back in town after living in Ireland for over two decades. She'd had a crush on him when they were were kids and that quickly came back to the surface when they bumped into each other. I loved the simplicity of their reconnection. I also enjoyed how everyone around them tried to get them together. The narrator did a great Irish accent.

2. A Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham
I was so excited when the story began. I loved the Skymar series and this time it was Prince Arran's love story. He came to North Carolina to heal and start afresh. Charlotte Edgewood aka Charlie needed help for the gala. That included practicing her speech and getting the right wardrobe as she was used to carpenter chic attire.
They both needed healing from past hurts and to feel loved enough to be worth staying for. Charlie also felt unworthy of being a princess. I loved how she got the courage to fight for her HEA. The narrator did a great Scottish accent which definitely contributed to enjoying the story. Arran was so charming! I loved every minute of this story.

3. Say No To Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts
This followed author Hailey Fairchild who wanted to avoid mistletoe at all costs since every kiss turned into a failed relationship. She returned to her hometown to visit her parents during Christmas and bumped into her high school crush Carwyn. He was determined to have a relationship with her and got through her defences eventually. I wasn't into this one but it made for a light read.

Fun Christmas novellas!
1) Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller--"Emmy Banks has always loved Christmas. How could she not when she lives in Mistletoe, Missouri?" Sweet story of when Kieran O'Neill returns home to his hometown of Mistletoe after nearly 25 years in Ireland. Emmy had a crush on him years ago and now is enjoying spending time with him as he finally visits for his Mom's 70th birthday, their friendship develops from many things they have in common and a sweet budding romance. Except that he plans to go back to Ireland and her home remains in Mistletoe. I enjoyed this sweet Christmas romance in Mistletoe and all the fun supporting characters! It would make a fun Hallmark movie.

2) The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham--Prince Arran St. Clare of Skymar is sent to the small town of Ransom, North Carolina to stay with his sister Ellie and her husband LUKE EDGEWOOD. (Do NOT miss the Skymar Series by Pepper Basham!) Prince Arran is turning over a new leaf, and his family thinks North Carolina will be the place to do it. He is sent for a couple of months to work in construction with his brother-in-law Luke, and assist Luke's cousin Charlotte Edgewood with the Christmas charity fundraiser, called The Mistletoe Wish. Charlotte, who has gone by the nickname Charlie most of her life, has so many funny nicknames for the prince, she cracked me up. She had a difficult upbringing without a mother, and the royal rascal helps her find peace, as she helps him with his "royal reformation experiment." My absolute favorite. Funny, and sweet, and endearing, I loved this novella and read it in one sitting.

3) Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts--"Mistletoe is Hailey Fairchild's kryptonite. Every time she's kissed someone under the mistletoe it's led to love disaster." My apologies, but this one wasn't for me.

Cute short stories to get you in the Christmas mood. Three great authors come together with the theme of Kissing under the Mistletoe! I love Christmas stories and Christmas season. I love when they add in love and family! Three unique stories involving kissing under the mistletoe and love! These stories get me excited for the upcoming Christmas season! I am new to a couple of authors from these ones but I will defiantly be back for more!

I really enjoyed this read. I love Christmas books so was happy to try this one.

There are three separate stories in this one book by three different authors. The first one is Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller. It's a story of a town and friends old and new. Moving on and staying. I enjoyed it.

The second story is The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham. It's not what comes to mind involving a prince, at least for most of the story. It's funny, and also very touching. A joy to read.

The third and final story is Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts. In this case Mistletoe is a bad experience for main character as in disaster times three. When she returns to her hometown for the holidays, will the jinx be fixed? It kept me up reading to find out.

'Mistletoe Season' is a perfect holiday read from three exceptional authors. The unifying theme is a kiss under the mistletoe and readers will enjoy how this plays into the storytelling. It was fun to meet new characters and reunite with peripheral characters in books I'd previously read. All, however, were enjoyable and a great book for the Christmas season.

One story is a town named Mistletoe and two people who know each other, but haven't seen each other for years. Life goes on, but will mistletoe change their relationship?

Then we have a prince visiting his sister, now this fellow is doing penance or trying to make up for mistakes, and now he is in North Carolina. I have read a previous book about this kingdom from this author, so good, and this sweet story does not disappoint. Can a rural girl become a princess? Well, keep page turning there are answers!

The last story does also have mistletoe, and an author with really bad boyfriend experience that sadly included this plant. Can you go home again? Hailey does and ends up with some really bad hair days, but that's another story, she also is rescued by her former childhood neighbor as she has met the pavement. This is such a cute story, but pain needs to be released in order to capture the future.

You will find yourself lost in this fun read, and when the last page is turned, looking for more!

I was drawn to read this series of novellas because I am a big fan of Pepper Basham’s storytelling and I really liked her The Mistletoe Countess! I ended up enjoying all three of these sweet Christmasy tales, my favorite being A Mistletoe Prince. I don’t generally read much romance so was not familiar with Sheila Roberts and Kathleen Fuller. Each of their short stories were fun reads. The book as a whole would make a perfect winter weekend in front of a cozy fire read!

I love romance anthologies and at the same time they can be risky because the rating is dependent on ALL the stories. In this case of this book, I loved it! Each story was equally wonderful! Since the stories are Novellas I don't want to give too much away so I won't do a recap on them. That said all of them were so good I read them each in one sitting. The men in each story to me were the total selling point, while the women were more practical and cautious. Each story was unique and I feel they all wrapped up wonderfully. They did still have the novella -vibe, where the ending felt a little short or rushed. But all in all , all three stories delivered! And it has me wanting to read more books by these authors.

Lovely collection of Christmas stories, each containing a little mistletoe magic. Two of the stories include the second chance trope, and the other includes the royalty trope. They range in lightness/depth with the third one (Sheila's) being the lightest and, therefore, most like a Hallmark movie and the second one (Pepper's) being the deepest (still like a Hallmark movie but with substance). I enjoyed reading each novella in this collection for my little "Christmas in July" treat. The holiday events and weather made the summer heat feel a little nicer.

A collection of 3 novellas, Mistletoe Season includes Return to Mistletoe by Kathleen Fuller, The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham, and Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts. This was an enjoyable group of short Christmas stories centered around the theme of Mistletoe. I requested this one solely for Pepper Basham's Mistletoe Prince as I had not heard of the other 2 authors before, but since I have absolutely loved Basham's series surrounding the Edgewoods, I jumped at the chance to read this one early. And though I enjoyed all of the stories, I'll confess Basham's was my favorite. It had me laughing and crying and it was good to "see" Luke and Ellie again from Loyally, Luke. If you haven't read that one, this one will stand fine on its own, but if you have, you'll enjoy seeing some old friends as well!

This book opens with Kathleen Fuller's Return to Mistletoe where Emmy's first crush returns home for the holidays. This was a sweet story with older main characters, which I enjoyed as an older person myself. I found Emmy and Keiran relatable and enjoyed their tale. The middle story was The Mistletoe Prince by Pepper Basham, which I adored. Arran and Charlie had a not-so-cute meet-cute, but I loved how he slowly won her over and helped rekindle childhood dreams. I also enjoyed the re-visit to the Edgewood clan. The final story was Say No to Mistletoe by Sheila Roberts, which was my least favorite of the three. The story was good, but the main character was immature and I didn't really like her. Since it was written in first person from her perspective, that skewed my enjoyment of the story. But it was well written and had a good ending. All of these were what I would call "Christian light" with the faith thread in the background and a bit more subtle, especially in the last one, but they are all completely clean reads, which makes them more enjoyable to me. If you enjoy contemporary Christmas romance stories with a bit of a Hallmark-y feel, this is a set of stories I would definitely recommend you add to your holiday reading. “Mistletoe Season” is a lovely collection of stories that all relate in some way to the Christmas tradition of mistletoe. E@ch story stands completely on its own, and they are all good cozy Christmas reads. I enjoyed two of the stories more than the other, but I did enjoy them all. I thought that “Return to Mistletoe” was a delightful holiday story with all of the feels and all of the warm fuzzies a reader wants in a Christmas book. The plot included some good characters and some good personal growth for those characters. I really loved “A Mistletoe Prince” with Charlie and Arran. Both main characters are well-developed and well-thought out. They have similar needs for growth on some levels and yet opposite on other levels. They were so very relatable, and I hated to see the story end. I wanted to know more and more about them! The third story, “Say
No to Mistletoe” was a little harder for me to get into, and just when I felt the story was going to take off, the book wrapped up! I enjoyed the overall plot of this one, but it was harder for me to relate to it for some reason. The writing style was just a little different or something, but it is still a lovely holiday read to get the reader in the mood for Christmas.

This set of 3 novellas in one Christmas book is a very fun Christmas trilogy. I really liked all 3 stories, but Pepper Basham's novella that continues some of the characters from her very popular Edgewood family/Skymar series steals the show for me! I love heartwarming stories at Christmas and this trilogy of books, centered around Mistletoe delivers what many readers like me are looking for at the holidays.

I enjoyed how Mistletoe, used very differently in each of the novellas was a light connection in each. The writing is good, stories are all engaging and characters in all 3 are relatable.
