Many thanks to @Dreamscape_Media and Mia Sheridan for this enchanting journey.
We're drawn into Rory's journey as she arrives in Calliope, igniting a quest for self-discovery that intertwines with Gage's internal conflict between personal passion and familial duty. Mia Sheridan skillfully weaves their evolving connection, brimming with meaningful glances and poignant exchanges, showcasing the depth of her storytelling prowess.
The novel serves as a reminder that love manifests in diverse ways, as seen in Gage and Rory's imperfect yet profound bond. Their banter adds levity to the narrative, while moments of emotion provoke laughter, tears, and closure. Mia's writing paints Calliope as a sanctuary for love, where Gage and Rory's tale unfolds like a reunion with cherished friends.
Their personal quests resonate deeply, particularly Gage's aimlessness and Rory's search for identity. Witnessing Rory's growth and the unveiling of long-awaited truths left me both shattered and fulfilled. On a personal level, I found a deeper connection with Gage, empathizing with his people-pleasing tendencies and his struggle to break free from societal expectations. His journey resonated with me, serving as a poignant reminder of the importance of living life authentically.
The audio production, skillfully brought to life by Meave York and Benjamin Sands, enhances the experience. Sands captures Gage's fervor for Rory with compelling authenticity.
To conclude "Falling for Gage" celebrates love's power to provide purpose, belonging, and the courage to confront our truths in each other's embrace.

Another poignant love story from Sheridan. The characters are full of life and the narrator is very good. Quick listen that you want to keep coming back to but hate to see end.

I am a big mystery/thriller fan but occasionally I will read romance. This was my first book by Mia Sheridan, and I absolutely loved it! The chemistry between these characters was off the charts from the first page! A one night stand between Gage and Rory turns into something much bigger and deeper than either one expected. I really enjoyed seeing two people from two very different backgrounds work through their differences to find their love for one another. โฃI listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by Maeve York and Benjamin Sands, and they do a wonderful job with it. I highly recommend listening to this one. I am reading that this book is part of a series, I am going to find the first two books and listen to them. I am a librarian and I am requesting this book to be purchased for our library.

3.5*
This was not bad. I wasn't a huge fan of the mystery subplot and how that played out. Otherwise, this was enjoyable, it's a light and easy read and the characters are likeable.

Falling For Gage
Mia Sheridan is one of my auto read authors. I do not even bother to read the synopsis, I just dive in head first.
For those of you who have read Travis, Before Haven and Travis become a thing, Haven goes on a date with Gage, the star of Falling For Gage.
Gage is in a life rut. He is only a few weeks away from moving to Europe to help with a chain of hotels his father owns. When he ends up at a random dive bar one night, he is completely captured by a gorgeous waitress. He has sworn of one night stands, but canโt help himself. Him and Rory hit it off and have an amazing night, knowing they are going to part ways the next day.
Rory is searching for something, but she isnโt quite sure what it is. When she finds some evidence of who her father was, a simple small painting, she drives a few towns over to Calliope pretending to be an art appraiser. This will allow her to try searching for more art prints to see if she can find any others that might point her in the direction of her father she never met.
But when she comes face to face with Gage, her plans start to go up and smoke. Along with her hope to protect her heart.
Review:
This was a great addition to the story of Calliope. I really liked Gage and Rory, and thought their chemistry and story was great. I was even laughing throughout the book at the awkward moments of Gage trying to figure out what Rory was doing in his town. I feel like the ending was almostโฆ too perfect? It just seemed very unlikely that it would happen.. But it is a book and that is the point.
I always loved seeing Archer and Travis again, along with their wives and kids. It was fun to see everyone come together.
I do wish there was something on goodreads to show readers that this is connected to Archer's Voice and Travis. So many people will pick up this book and not have the backstory that is pretty necessary. It has been one to two years since I read Archer's Voice and Travis and wish I had done a re-read of the book.
I wonder if Mia will write any more stories with all of these characters.
I loved both Mariners, even though sometimes Benjamin's voice impersonating a female was a struggle.

Welcome back to Pelion Lake!
If youโre already a fan of this series then I highly recommend checking out Falling for Gage. It features all your favourite characters youโve come to love through the series and you get to see how their lives and relationships have developed since their HEAs.
I think my favourite aspect of the book was Roryโs search for her father. Using the mini scavenger hunt as a way to tell the story was unique and a really effective way for Rory and Gage to learn more about each other. I really liked Gage in Travis so I was happy to see him now reach MC status!
This was the first book in the series that I read on audio and I really enjoyed it. Narrators Maeve York and Benjamin Sands were fantastic and kept me engaged in the story.
Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamworks Media and Mia Sheridan for an early review copy. These are my honest thoughts.

๐๐พThanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this ALC! I voluntarily give my honest review and all opinions expressed are mine alone.
๐ฃ๏ธThe narrators: Maeve York and Benjamin Sands' voices fit Gage and Rory. Their voices were distinct, but I could easily tell the difference between all characters. The reading style brought the story to life and the pacing was great and flowed easily with the story. The narration and the author were in sync, and they fit together perfectly.
๐งThe audiobook's flow was pretty good. The narrators paused and announced every time a new chapter came. The book had a table of contents which helped me follow along with the audio.
Summary: Gage Buchanan is a wealthy townie in Calliope and the golden boy of his family whose expectations he's having trouble meeting. Aurora "Rory" Casteel is from the harbor and a waitress at her family's bar Cakes and Ale. She's had her fill of rich boys slumming to the "wrong" side of the tracks. When Gage and his friends come to her bar he meets Rory, and they have a one night stand. Later, Rory goes on the hunt for the identity of her father who lives in Calliope- Gage's hometown. Rory claims to be an art appraiser to search for him. Gage follows her around trying to find out why she's there, and their attraction grows into more.
๐คMy Thoughts: Mia Sheridan always comes with the feels and delivered again. Gage and Rory live very different worlds, but are restless in their lives. Gage wants to do his own thing and Rory wants to know who she is by finding her father. With each other's help they make their dreams come true.

I had the opportunity to listen to the audio of Falling for Gage by Mai Sheridan and truly enjoyed it. Thank you to Dreamscape Media for allowing me to listen to this early. Narrated by Benjamin Sands and Maeve York, they take us back to the world of Archerโs Voice, which I loved so much, and was so happy to dive back in. Here we have Gage and Rory in a small-town romance full of steamy chemistry and a bit of a mystery. Gage and Rory shared a night that stayed with them, even if that was all it was. Then when they come face-to-face again, Roryโs plans may just blow up.
I loved the chemistry and witty banter these two shared. Gage is determined to find out what is going in with Rory and what brought her to his town. Gage was determined and caring, while Rory was single-minded and were drawn to each other. The narrators were amazing and I loved Gage and Rory's journey so much and was captivated from start to finish.
Happy listening!

This was my first book by Sheridan, and I loved it! This book is part of the Pelion Lake series. It can be read as a standalone, but characters from Archerโs Voice and Travis are mentioned in this book so I would recommend reading those books first, however, I didnโt, and I still really enjoyed this one.
Rory and Gageโs story was relatable and the characters were developed well. I really liked their story from their one night stand to her showing up in his hometown. Their attraction was palpable, and I was rooting for these two to get together throughout. The small town setting worked so well, and I loved how most of the characters were so supportive of Rory finding her father.
The audiobook was done so well. The dual point of views were great, and I loved both narrators, Maeve York and Benjamin Sands. They brought Rory and Gage to life, and made me feel all the feels! I donโt think Iโve listened to anything theyโve narrated before, but Iโll be keeping my eye out for them in future audiobooks.
Now that Iโve read Falling for Gage, I plan to go back and read Archerโs Voice and Travis. I wasnโt expecting to love this book as much as I did, but it hit all my emotions and had me smiling, laughing, and even crying at times. Sheridan definitely knows how to write contemporary romance set in a small town, and sheโs an author Iโll definitely be reading more of.
Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advanced listeners copy in exchange for my honest review.

Iโm not sure how I feel about this. I enjoyed the characters but the spice started so early into the story it kind of made me not interested in it anymore. I loved archers voice but this one didnโt give me the warm fuzzy feelings like that one did

Rory and Gageโs story is perfect if you love a spicy, one night stand, small town(s) romance. Each small town in this story has itโs own quirky side characters - and are both everything I love about small town romances. Itโs set in the world of other Mia Sheridan novels, but you do not need to have read those first - it would help to know the side characters and their stories, but it is not necessary! I loved Rory and Gageโs instant connection, their chemistry, their ability to open up and be real with each other and the trust they build between themselves in revealing the deepest parts of their souls to each other. As a reader youโre more than happy to watch two amazing, selfless people fall head over heels into their forever.
I listened to this on audio and enjoyed the performances by both narrators!
Rory is searching for her biological father. After her mother died before revealing the story about who he was and all she has is a small clue (in the form of a portrait drawn of her mother) found amongst her motherโs belongings. So she heads to Calliope to look for her dad. What she doesnโt expect is to find out her one night stand is a local and is poised to ruin her plans to pose as an art appraiser to gain access to homes in the area on the search for more of her dadโs art.

People who enjoyed other titles from Mia Sheridan, such as Archer's Voice, may also like this book because there is some character overlap. However, I found that this book was predictable and didn't have enough character development for it to be a stand-alone title. To me, the romance in the story was unrealistic because Rory and Gage become attached almost immediately. Additionally, I felt that Gage's character was rather dull, since he only seemed to be described as the "perfect" man.
There were a few twists and turns that were unique to this book. I am rating it a three star because I felt it was a decent read, but not something that I would recommend to people unless they really enjoy other Mia Sheridan books.

I canโt believe this was my first book by Mia Sheridan. I need to go back and read the other Pelion Lake novels because I loved the crossover characters that showed up in this one!
I love small town romances and this one reminded me why ๐ Gage and Rory were total opposites, but their chemistry was very believable. I loved how there was a little bit of mystery in the story, with Rory trying to find her father. Sheridan did a great job with the character development, and I really liked seeing how the main characters grew throughout the story.
๐ง Maeve York and Benjamin Sands did an amazing job bringing Rory and Gage to life. This audiobook made my drives to and from work so much more enjoyable ๐

I always love Miaโs writing and Falling for Gage was absolutely no different. This book was absolutely beautiful and packed full of so many emotions. I loved the audio of this title, the narrators were entertaining to listen to and I found myself fully immersed in the story.

Aurora "Rory" Casteel is determined to find her father. All she knows from her late mother is that he lives in Calliope and he's an important part of the town. So when Rory's gallery-owning friend offers to run cover for her while she sleuths around town, she jumps at the chance. But she doesn't anticipate the man she spent one wild night with turning out to be a local, and he might be related to her past after allโฆ
This is my first book from Mia Sheridan, and I have heard many good things about her books. I can say this was worth the hype, the story captivated me from the beginning, and I was invested. Itโs one of the more unique storylines for a small-town romance that I have ever read. Itโs not just a simple romance, itโs a journey of self-discovery for both of them, also with the added mystery when they try to find the identity of Roryโs father. Furthermore, the angst and forbidden feelings when they thought that they may be related, added to the tension in the story.

This is a dual narration, both narrators are new to me, and I think theyโve done an amazing job! Benjaminโs voice has a calming quality to it, I enjoy his voice and I think heโs perfect as Gage. The same goes for Maeve, and I especially like when he does the male voice, it didnโt annoy me as it was convincing. The pacing was perfect, I listened to it at normal speed the first time, highly recommend the audio version of this book.

It seemed dangerous meeting Gage anywhere there was a pool table...or a bed."
"The need to fix this for her...I very suddenly understood why wars were declared, battles fought..."
"The bad feeling disappeared when I was with her."
So many quotes not enough space! The adorable sexy laugh out loud Falling For Gage by romantic comedy author Mia Sheridan left me with all the feel good emotions.
After a rainy end to a boys weekend, Gage winds up out of town in a local bar. The minute Gage sees Rory his plans to end his one night stand ways are done. In fact he yells "Applesauce" to his friends as their way of calling dibs. By the end of the night flirty banter has been exchanged, cute nicknames given and a pool table broken in (wink wink๐).
Before they exchange information they're interrupted and hopefully satisfying memories will be enough. But as time goes by the always perfect Gage, doing what is expected of him by his parents, his town, getting ready to move to London to expand his father's business, can't stop looking at the sky and wondering what color blue it is...not sky blue... it's not the blue of Her eyes.
Then, while visiting his parents, Rory is there, saying she's an art curator and appraising their paintings. Is she a con artist? Is this a ruse to get to him? It's at this point that the RomCom insanity ensues for our enjoyment.
This was my first time experiencing the hilarious comedic timing of voice actors Maeve York and Benjamin Sands. I guarantee it won't be my last. I love a dual POV in romance and they brought all the swoon, angst, emotion and laughs to life.
Though a standalone this story is part of the Archer's Voice world. If you read it, the end of this one is a full circle moment for Archer, and Rory while you fall for Gage.
I received a free copy of this audiobook from Dreamscape Media via #NetGalley for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.

Falling for Gage

4โ
Archerโs Voice will always hold a special place in my heart, and I really enjoyed Travis as well, so I went into this return to Pelion Lake with high expectations.
Mia Sheridan never fails to bring out all the feels in her stories. Falling for Gage was no different. It was an entertaining, well written, slow-burn romance with great banter and an interesting mystery sprinkled in. While this wasnโt my favorite of the Pelion Lake books, (I struggle to get into it at first) in the end I ended up enjoying it and Iโm happy to have had the opportunity to be an early reader/listener.
What I enjoyed;
โจ Small Town Romance
โจ Found Family
โจ A Sprinkle of Mystery
โจ Fun Banter
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the ALC in exchange for my honest opinion.
Maeve York and Benjamin Sands were great narrators. I struggled slightly with the steamy parts. Something about it just didnโt work for me, but all in all I enjoyed their narration.
Although this can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading Archerโs Voice and Travis first for the best reading experience.

Happy release day, Mia! Thank you to the author, Dreamscape Media LLC, and NetGalley for early access to the audiobook of Falling for Gage. These are my honest thoughts!
Falling for Gage was my introduction into Mia Sheridan's world, after hearing amazing things about Archer's Voice and Travis, and then meeting those characters in this story - which made me curious to go back and find out how those characters ended up at their happily ever afters. Gage seems to be a character adjacent to those stories, so it was interesting to meet this community at present.
This story opens on a boy's trip gone wrong, chance encounter in a bar, with a bartender (who is referred to as a barkeep and that didn't land well with me?) whose family owns the establishment. Aurora hustles the group of men who come in drenched and muddy after some car trouble, but eventually helps them. Gage calls dibs on her (possibly with the word "applesauce" as the word to claim her from his friends?). They have chemistry, which leads to one night... yadi yada, you know how this goes.
Then, Gage goes home. And Aurora feels called to go chase her mother's history and her conception, hoping to discover the identity of her father... her mom came back from some time away in a nearby town pregnant, etc. So she devises this plan to go to the town, pretend to be an art curator, and enter the homes of the wealthy elite in order to find out who her dad is. Re-enter Gage.
As I'm typing this storyline out, I'm not at all surprised that I have some mixed feelings about this book. I'm all for suspending disbelief, because it's fiction after all, but this is very convoluted. The first house that Aurora and her friend visit happens to be Gage's family's home, and he chases her all over town trying to catch her in a lie. Then they might be siblings. Then he wants to help her, and they have chemistry, but they fight it because they might be siblings?
I guess I enjoyed this audiobook! I give the audiobook and performance a 4.25 star rating.
I feel like the story could've been stronger if there wasn't so much deception and awkward secret suspense? Aurora's uncles felt like children in relation to her? Like, no wonder she acted and decided to do what she did, because she hasn't had any real guidance or maybe even honest conversations with the adults in her life after her mom died? The plot is kind of chunky, hence I'm having so much trouble putting into words what I liked/didn't like. There was just so much going on and it wasn't executed particularly well. The story overall gets a 3.5 star rating from me.

Mia Sheridan does it again with another amazing book in the world of Pelion! This time we travel to an outside town called Calliope where we meet Rory and are reintroduced to Gage. To be honest I didnโt remember too much about Gage from Travis but once we were reminded of him, I remembered instantly! Archers Voice has always been one of my favorite romances and Iโm so happy that every time we revisit these characters, I love their story. Now you can read these as a stand alone but Iโm telling you that these stories hit so much better reading all of them! It legit brought me to happy tears! I loved the duel POV too! Thereโs a good plot while you try to find who Roryโs dad is but you also get these two falling madly in love with one each other while feeling like they donโt deserve one another.

"I want to find perfect in the unexpected places."
This book stole my heart. I couldn't stop listening and by the end was fully and emotionally invested in Gage and Rory. I loved piecing together Rory's past as we slowly watched their love story come together, but it was their personal journeys along the way that really got me. I could relate to Gage so much. This book had me crying in the end because it was so emotional, heartfelt, and just perfect. All the emotion was perfectly balanced with lighthearted banter and friendships. It was such a great read and I highly recommend it.
