I was so excited to learn more about Gage after reading the first two books of the world and i really enjoyed this one! Gage and Rory were such loveable characters and their story made me so happy and had me emotional, in the best way! This is a standalone but im glad i read the previous books and seeing the characters in this book made my heart so happy that we got more of them! I love Mia's writing and i find her books so easy to read and get lost in, the pacing was perfect and really liked this one!

Oh my gosh, first off thank you dreamscape and NG for this ARC!! When I originally saw this audio, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it because I knew I would have to read Travis first(you don’t have to but it’s highly recommended !!). But I jumped back in headfirst into this world, and I do not regret it one bit. Mia has a way to make you laugh out loud with her characters and these towns. Gage is literally me when I am unmedicated. LMAO. I had so much fun reading this! Thank you so much for the ARC! The narrators were new to me, but they were top-tier. I can’t wait to read more of Mia in the future!!!

I adored this book so much! A one night stand between Gage and Rory turns into something much bigger and deeper than either one expected. They’re complete opposites from entirely different walks of life, entirely different social circles and classes, but they have one thing in common — a restlessness, a deep rooted desire to find…something. They cross paths once again when Rory turns up in Gage’s hometown as an art appraiser, though he’s convinced she’s actually a con artist trying to swindle the wealthy people of the town. What ensues is an equal parts fun and emotional mission as they chase - slash - try to avoid one another through town.
This was my first book by Mia Sheridan, and what a delight it was! The chemistry between these characters was off the charts from page one. The banter was delightful and witty, I loved the chase as Gage tries to prove that Rory is conning people, and I really enjoyed seeing two people from two very different backgrounds work through their differences to find their HEA.
I’ve heard that this is part of a series, or at least connected to a series, but i wasn’t lost in the slightest. If anything, “meeting” other characters and reading about this upper-class town just made me want to dive immediately into Sheridan’s backlist. The narrators did such a fantastic job bringing these characters to life and giving a voice to both Gage and Rory. I now also want to dive in to each narrator’s backlist because I adored their voices as much as this book. 5 stars. Definitely pick this one up if you like:
° Small coastal towns
° Searching for unknown parent
° Societal/class differences
° Some comedic moments
° Sweet romance with light steam
° Dogs!

I love a romance novel that starts out with what is supposed to be a one night stand, but then the couple unexpectedly sees each other very soon after!!
This one has:
• Dual perspective
• Insta-lust and one night stand
• Finding yourself and family expectations
• Dog and animal lover!
• Adorable nicknames
• Rory is trying to solve the mystery of who her father was and Gage is helping her.
• There are characters from Archer's Voice (and possiby some of Mia Sheridan's other books) in this one, but I can definitely confirm that you can read it as a standalone!
• I really loved the serious and emotional tone to this book. It wasn't without lighthearted and humorous moments, but it was definitely a deep feels romance rather than a romcom! I think the cover communicates that as well! 👌
This was my first Mia Sheridan, but it won't be my last!
🎧 This is a dual narration audio done by @maeveyorkreads and @benjaminsandsreads Both narrators were perfect for this audiobook and I'm really glad I listened!!

First things first, we get both POVs, and I loved that so very much. I like getting the hero's POV. We can appreciate him for who he is and what he stands for with his point of view on things.
I loved how the book tied Archer and Travis in without making it feel all about them because even though their books were fantastic, this was about Gage and his lady.
Gage is all about doing what is right, what is proper, to make his family proud, even if it's not what he wants or loves. Of course, he never voices this until he meets Rory, who sees Gage for who he is—well, who he wants to be. But he won't or can't stand up for himself because he can't rock that boat.
But when Rory comes into his Gage's life, he sees her for who she is and how she is making her life her own. Finding out about those hard things so that she can move forward. I truly believed this gave Gage the kick he needed to maybe think for himself.
The ending was everything I wanted and needed and so much more. It really brought everything in beautifully.
A few things I didn't enjoy were the cat-and-mouse scenes when Gage was trying to talk to Rory. But I couldn't even enjoy the family scenes; they were talked about a bit too much and gave me a lot of ick.
The narration was perfect for Gage and Rory. Both Meave and Benjamin gave voice to these characters in a unique and exciting way, and it was very easy to listen to.

This pulled me in from the beginning and the narrators made Gage and Rory jump off the page for me. I can’t imagine anyone else in those roles. I knew I needed to read Gage’s story after we saw his involvement in Travis. Gage has always been a good guy in town and I loved the opportunity to follow his story.
Gage grew up on one side of the lake: privileged, well liked, all around good guy from a well off family. He is expected to continue the family business and every decision he has made has been to help his family and bring him closer to his father’s expectations of him.
Rory grew up on the other side of the lake, in a completely different situation than Gage. She works tirelessly to support her family and keep the family business afloat. She was raised by a single mom surrounded by loving uncles from a family that is drawn to the water. But her draw has never been to the water -- instead her draw has always eluded her.
A chance encounter sparked by a flat tire, and a slide down a muddy road leads to more sparks as Gage and Rory take advantage of the situation and the chemistry that builds immediately between them.
As the story continues, a mystery develops that has them questioning what little they know about each other. This mystery also causes a slight slow burn to develop as they pump the brakes on anything between them.
This felt a lot lighter than the other Pelion novels, and I loved the rapport and banter that rose up because of it. There was one aspect of a side plot that added some emotional tension but also had me conflicted about if I could cheer for them or not. I love this world and love everytime I can return to it.

Archer Hale will always be my number one but I must say I really enjoyed Falling for Gage! As with all @miasheridanauthor’s books, there is more to the story than just a typical romance. This love story shows that there is more to people than meets the eye. Gage is a man torn between obligation and passion while Rory is on a journey of self discovery. There is a mystery element that definitely helped with the pacing of the plot. I loved getting to see Archer and Bree make cameos💜 I definitely reccomend the Pelion Lake series!

I couldn't get through this book. I think the narrator did a good job for as much as I listened to, however, the story itself was a bit too angsty for my liking and I couldn't get into it. If you enjoy Sheridan's other books, I'm sure you'll like this one as well, but it wasn't for me.

while this isn't my favorite mia sheridan book, i loved both rory and gage as characters. as always, mia's writing is infused with so much heart. i loved the mystery plot in this book! the way it came together made me emotional. the archer/ bree & travis/ haven crumbs were everything to me! I will continue to look forward to mia's releases! i originally wanted to give this 3.5 stars but i'm rounding it to 4 stars!
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the ALC!

This is such a beautiful story! A chemistry-filled romance with a touch of mystery, it’s sweet, sexy and emotional, and I loved it!
This is the second book in the Pelion Lake series, which is, itself, a follow-on from Archer’s Voice. Those who read Travis (Pelion Lake book #1) may remember Gage, who briefly dated Haven, and I was so happy to see him find his own HEA. The characters from earlier books are all a part of this story, and there are some spoilers from their books, so although you can read this one as a standalone, just be aware that you will be missing a bit of background.
Rory and Gage meet when Gage and his buddies end up stranded in the small town of Mud Gulch and rock up to a Rory’s family’s bar looking for help. Rory is a waitress there, and pretty much dismisses Gage as rich and spoiled, but as the night continues and they flirt and banter, she realises that Gage is so much more than she originally thought, and they end up sharing a steamy encounter that rocks both of their worlds.
It's a few weeks later when Rory travels to a town a few hours away from home to search for her unknown father, who she believes lives in Calliope after her mother spent some time there when she got pregnant. Faking being an art appraiser to get access to the rich and exclusive members of town, Rory is stunned to see Gage again, and he’s furious, thinking that she’s there to rip off his family and their friends. When he learns the truth, he ends up joining forces with her to help her on her quest.
It's an interesting set-up, and I enjoyed the mystery part of the story featuring Rory and Gage’s search. Closely tied in to that, is the beautiful love story. It’s full of chemistry and epic longing and I was desperate for something to happen between these two! There’s a fantastic build-up of longing and sexual tension, and when they finally get there, holy freaking damn, it’s hot!
It’s natural and easy between them, sweet and sexy, with rapidly growing feelings. Rory brings joy and wildness to Gage’s steady and responsible world, and it’s so good seeing him step outside of the role that has been dictated to him his entire life.
“I don’t want a life without you, Rory. I don’t want to exist without the passion you bring into every moment of every day.”
But Rory is only in town for a short while, and Gage’s career will soon see him moving overseas. Though the relationship comes easy, the two of them have a lot of figuring out to do when it comes to their lives, what they want and where they want to be, balanced with the weight of expectation on their shoulders.
“I can breathe when I’m with you.”
They both have challenges to face, and the mix of their personal journeys, the mystery and a bit of family drama works really well. The romance ties it all together, and it’s so beautifully swoony. It’s quite the ride and I loved these characters, and the way they navigate it all.
I listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by Maeve York and Benjamin Sands, and they do a wonderful job with it. I definitely recommend listening to this one.
4.5 stars!

I listened to the audiobook and was just blown away by the story. It was so much fun, I laughed so many times! Maeve York and Benjamin Sands were amazing and really brought Rory and Gage to life! I was really hooked and committed to the story once Rory arrived in Calliope and Pelion Lake and the Hale gang was there. I really liked Gage’s pursuit to flag down Rory, his perfect disposition slipped when the Rory was around. I was very pleased with the ending! Gage is such a sweetheart!

Thank you Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for an advanced audio copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is my least favorite book out of the Pelion Lake series, but it was still decent. I did enjoy the dual POV narrators. I felt more connected to the characters hearing different voices. I felt like the mystery aspect of Rory trying to find her dad was good. It created suspense. I didn't love that she and Gage could have been siblings, it felt weird to me. I think the instant attraction also was more of a turn-off for me. I didn't feel their connection as a couple. Overall, it wasn't my favorite, but not the worst book I've read.

I love love LOVE Mia Sheridan, Archers Voice is one of my all time favorite romance reads. I also really enjoyed Travis. But this book was not for me unfortunately. I wish it could have been more witty and funny with the whole is she my sister scenario but instead kinda gave me the ick. But I will still read all her books :)

Audio note: The audio was very solid! Both Maeve York and Benjamin Sands are new-to-me narrators, but they give great performances. The vibe is laidback and a little soothing, which went with the tone of the story. The runtime (nearly 12 hours) means that it might take a couple of days to get through, but it's not overly long. This is a fling to more romance, so the spice kicks in early on, but it wasn't particularly hot or steamy. Probably not a good choice to listen to at the office, but otherwise good in the format. It's a great way to experience the story.
DNF: Try as I might, I could not get into this - at all. Something was off from the start, and I did not feel the chemistry. It dragged for me. Once I realized where it was heading, I lost all interest and left it unfinished.

Falling For Gage by Mia Sheridan is the third book in the Pelion Lake Series and while it’s a stand-alone I would at least suggest reading Archer‘s Voice first to understand certain plot points better. This is Rory and Gage‘s story.
Rory recently lost her mother and is left all alone and therefore wants to find out more about her father whom she never met. She only has a few clues and in order to find out more she pretends to be an art appraiser. Her life and emotions are all over the place, which was understandable to a certain point and afterwards that was only annoying.
Gage is the heir to a hotel empire, and he works for the family business as well and is working on the global expansion. He hasn’t found the right woman yet and pressures himself for it. He is a lovely character but that was a bit dimmed for me by the male narrator who sounded very dull and monotone to me and after a few seconds I zoned out of the story. I definitely needed quite some time to get used to the Gage chapters.
I had the hardest time getting into this book and I listened to the first 20% three times. I’m not sure if that was due to the story, the audiobook, or a combination of both. The characters also pretend to be someone else and lie to each other and that started their story off very untruthfully. But I’m glad I continued the story, and it was way better in the second half. Rory and Gage‘s story is way too slow burn and oftentimes the romance was on the backburner and that was not what I expected. At one point there was also the possibility of them being siblings and that left a bad taste and was completely unnecessary and only made worse by comments along the lines of ‘take me to your house, my not-brother’. The romance part only came at the very end and that was almost too late. My highlight of the book was seeing the cameos of Archer & Bree and Travis & Haven and they build the most precious and beautiful families.
Overall, Falling For Gage is my least favorite book in the Pelion Lake series. 3 stars.

i listened to this one on audio and had a great time, the production and the narrators were great for these characters!
I enjoyed this story, I thought Rory and gage had a great connection from the start. What was meant to be a one night stand but then you can’t get that person out of your head. Fate would have it that their paths would cross again as Rory looked to discover who her father is.
I liked the juxtaposition of Rory looking for her identity and finding her place in the world while Gage thought he had everything planned out with his new job for his family. Both Rory and Gage were able to find their callings in life, with Gage accepting that he can follow his own dreams not just the path that was laid out for him and Rory understanding that she can do something for herself and not just give back to her uncles who raised her.
I loved being back with the hales and seeing both Archer’s and Travis’s families doing well and thriving. I love the found family in their community. Overall a cute story!

First and foremost for maximum enjoyment make sure to first read Archer’s Voice and then Travis before reading this one since the characters from those books are in this book!
The book’s plot centers around Gage and Rory having a hot hook-up, thinking they will never see each other again, and then their paths crossing again as she is searching for the answer to the question “who is my daddy?” based on only clues left from her mother from before her death.
As she begins the search, her and Gage get themselves in a small game of cat and mouse as she misrepresents herself in order to access the wealthy families to dig around that she believes one of them may have her biological father as part of those families, including Gage’s dad being potentially her dad….
So, they start the search together to find Rory’s dad and grow closer during that time but drama is bound to come and will their connection formed be enough to overcome?
All in all, this was a fun plot, but it doesn’t reach my fave of the three books in this series unfortunately as some of the aspects weren’t as emotional as I was hoping to love it more.
Thank you so much to Dreamscape for my gifted ALC in exchange for my review!

I enjoyed this return to Pelion Lake. It was nice to see some snippets of the characters I came to love in the first two books, and I loved the tie in. The overall story was nice and romantic but nothing stood out to me about it. It was a solid read, but not my favorite of the series. I did enjoy the audiobook narration and am glad I chose this format!

There were a lot of elements I enjoyed about the story, including Rory’s supportive uncles, who made me quickly fall in love with them all. The forbidden love aspect as it was a nice change from a lot of what I’ve been reading lately. There were humour and heart melting moments, but also an underlying situation that needed to be solved in a part of the book, which was both cringey and hilarious at the same time. Additionally, there was also a scene that involved racoons that hit me right at the core.
The dual narration by Maeve and Benjamin were done well and both did a great job making a distinction between character voices.

Falling for Gage by Mia Sheridan is told from 2 POVs, Gage and Rory. Gage meets Rory while stranded in a little town with his friends. After a whirlwind of a night he thinks he’ll never see her again. He is shocked to see her a few weeks later pretending to be an art appraiser in his hometown. Rory (Aurora) never knew who her father was. After finding a drawing on a napkin she decides to try and find him. Rory is shocked to see that Gage, the man she had a one night stand with, lives in the town where her mother met her father.
Archer’s Voice is one of my all time favorite books so it’s safe to say that my expectations were high for Falling for Gage. I think for that reason it fell a little flat for me.
Things I liked:
- Dual POVs: it was nice to see the perspectives of both Gage and Rory
- Character growth: the characters did a lot of self reflecting and discovery throughout the books
- Father storyline: I enjoyed Rory’s quest to figure out who her father is
- Past characters: it was nice to be reintroduced to characters from Sheridan’s previous books
Things I didn’t like:
- No emotional connection: I did feel a connection with this book. I expected more of an emotional tug
- Incest: while there is no actual incest I struggled with this part. Even though there’s a possibility that they might be half siblings they still think of each other in a sexual way. It creeped me out
Overall it was a decent romance novel with a little bit of mystery and intrigue.
I really enjoyed the audiobook of Falling for Gage. I love when audiobooks have more than one narrator. Having a male and female narrator helped keep me engaged in the story.
