When I requested this book, I was not aware that it was related to the same series as 'Archer's Voice'. I had simply requested the book because Mia Sheridan is a very talented romance writer. 'Archer's Voice' is still on my TBR. If I had known, I would have read it before starting this book.
From what I have gathered, it would make sense to read 'Archer's Voice' and 'Travis' before starting this book. I have read neither of those books and was still able to follow the plot easily, so it could also be read as a standalone.
This book uses a trope that is well-known in the BookTok community, but it is not very well-liked. I won't spoil what trope it is. I could deal with Mia Sheridan using it because I assumed that there would be a HEA coming, but I don't think it added much to the story either.
There is also some 'other woman drama' in this book. This is one of my least favourite plot devices in a romance novel. In this case, I could forgive it, because Gage is a very likeable character and his actions and intentions were very transparent to the reader.
Given that Mia Sheridan seemed to set herself a challenge of using some tropes and plot devices that are not well-liked, I think the book still turned out well. Although I doubt that it will gain as much traction as 'Archer's Voice' had.
The book gives off some cosy found family and small town (with an upper crust) vibes so I still felt safe that everything would turn out well. Gage is a very likeable book boyfriend and I am glad that we get to see a lot of the book from his perspective. (The surname Buchanan kept making me think of the Great Gatsby though, was that intentional? And if so why?). He was a green flag for me throughout the book. My favourite moments of the book were when Gage seemed to lose his head when Rory first arrived in town - the man just looked like a fool and that had me crackling.
As mentioned, we get to see some characters from 'Archer's Voice' and 'Travis' and although I haven't read their individual stories yet, I already like the characters. I will be happy to revisit Calliope.
I listened to the audiobook version of this book and was overall satisfied, although I think Gage's narrator should have shown some more emotions at times, particularly when it came to talking about Rory.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for gifting me this ALC of the audiobook to review.

Rating: 3.5/5
- Small town
- One-night stand strangers to friends to lovers
- Dual POV
- Narrated by Benjamin Sands and Maeve York
Rory has a one-night stand with a rich guy who comes into her family's restaurant, thinking she'll never see him again. But weeks later, she gets a shock when it turns out he lives in a different small town three hours away... the small town where she's pretending to be an art appraiser to try and track down who her father is.
When he learns the truth, he agrees to help her find him, finding his own truth along the way.
What I liked:
- I really enjoyed the interesting plot of Rory finding her birth father. There were definitely enough twists and turns to keep the reader captivated.
- I loved the Hale cameos! While this can be read as a standalone, I think reading the other books first makes the ending that much sweeter.
- Seeing both Rory and Gage let go of expectations (misguided and not), follow their hearts and pursue their dreams.
- The narration. Two new-to-me narrators, but they were great.
What I think could've been improved:
- To be honest, the romance was very underwhelming for me. I just didn't feel a strong romantic connection between Gage and Rory. Their relationship also didn't have enough time to develop. They went from a one-night stand to friends to a couple of hookups to nothing to forever. This disjointed relationship dynamic heightened the lack of chemistry I already felt.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the early copy.

Thank you for the ARC audio of this sweet romance by Mia Sheridan. I enjoyed the love story between Gabe and Rory and the search for Roryβs father was very interesting! I love how the author incorporated that part of the story with Gabeβs town. Overall, the story was unique, the romance was spot on and it had just enough smut for this reader.

πSmall Town
Rory Casteel and Gage Buchanan shared a passionate night together, not knowing they would cross paths again. In a twist of fate, Rory arrives in the quiet town of Calliope, pretending to be an art appraiser. Gage, torn between his strong attraction to Rory and his responsibility to his family legacy, can't comprehend why he can't let go and move on to a more stable life.
β¨ Thoughts β¨
Mia Sheridan novels usually tug at my heartstrings, but this novel offers a refreshing change from her usual romance books. This story is full of hilarious moments, making me laugh at Rory and Gage's antics.
However, I couldn't resonate with some aspects of Rory and Gageβs relationship. To begin with, Rory and Gage's situation-ship feels like a chase of cat and mouse. They can't have an honest conversation about what they expect from each other. Secondly, Gage goes through an existential crisis, guided by a strong sense of duty to his family. While commendable, his lack of clear intentions towards Rory is underwhelming. The swoon factor didn't happen for me until the very end where Gage does redeem himself.
π§The dual narration by Maeve York and Benjamin Sands is excellent. They capture the essence of the characters perfectly.
Overall, if you have read the previous books in the series, you will love getting glimpses of our favorite couple, Archer and Bree, as well as other familiar characters. This book delivers instant attraction with a dash of mystery, making for a great listening experience.
Thank you to the author, Dreamscape Media, and NetGalley for this ALC.

This is the second book that I have read by this author, and I'm finding out that I really like her writing. Her stories aren't spicy, but definitely have an emotional pull to them. I loved listening to Cakes and Ivy League's journey. If you have read Archer's Voice or Travis, then I think you will enjoy this book, as they both make a few appearances in this book. I haven't read those two books, and felt a little out of the loops, but my curiosity has been piqued and I will be adding those to my TBR. It took me a while to realize that the color on the cover of the book is the color blue that they refer to a few times in the book. #FallingforGage #NetGalley

Returning to Calliope & Pelion Lake for Gage + Rory's book was a pure delight. My heart is so full finishing this book. I loved it so much. Gage Buchananβs book was well worth the wait ππΌ I truly enjoyed following these characters on their journey of self discovery, love, and finding their happiness. This book is full of swoon worthy moments, fun banter, spice, and the sweetest HEA.
This is the 3rd book in the Pelion Lake series. The 1st book is ππ³π€π©π¦π³βπ΄ ππ°πͺπ€π¦, the 2nd is ππ³π’π·πͺπ΄. Both phenomenal books that I would highly recommend checking out. Talk about a full circle moment. πππ‘π‘ππ£π ππ€π§ ππππ gives you the opportunity to know Gage on a deeper level after his appearances in the previous books. We are also introduced to the sweetest FMC, Rory, who is the perfect addition to this world and these beloved characters.

The audiobook of πππ‘π‘ππ£π ππ€π§ ππππ was so well done. The narrators, Meave York and Benjamin Sands, portrayed Rory and Gage perfectly. Thank you so much to Dreamscape Media, Mia Sheridan, and NetGalley for the ALC in exchange for my honest opinion.

4.5
This was my first Mia Sheridan read and I really enjoyed it. Rory and Gage were a perfect match in an imperfect setting. They had some obstacles to each overcome and I enjoyed the 'mystery' along the way.
I especially loved Rory's life with her brothers, Cake's and Ale (the bar/restaurant she worked at) and the path she takes to discover her lineage and herself. The people she met along the way were great side characters that I wish she had a little more time to deeply connect with. Characters from other books made appearances which was fun, even though I had never read them.
This made me really want to read Archer's Voice and dive into the whole world of Mia Sheridan

Falling for Gage by Mia Sheridan is the first book I have read by this author. Her works have been on my radar for so long, and I am glad to have read her latest book. This one is the story of Gage and Rory. He stays in the same local town where she is destined to find her birth father based on the little information her mother has given her.
On the journey to finding her birth father, some secrets are revealed, and mysteries are resolved along the way. I honestly did not expect to find the plot going in this direction. A lot of things did put me out, and I also felt that at 60%, the plot was a bit stretched and unnecessary.
Overall, I enjoyed this cute and a bit spicy romance, where both characters were equally loveable and the chemistry was on point. I haven't read her previous books set in the same family dynamics, but this one can be read as a standalone. Now I am looking forward to reading Archer's Voice after this, since that's the most famous book by this author.

iβm crying, this was so beautiful. archerβs voice is one of my favourite books of all time, and this landed way up there as well. rory and gage fit so well from the start and i loved their chemistry and the push and pull between them.
the mystery aspect was such a nice touch, the banter was great, and i loved how well the story flowed. i devoured this on audio - the narration was done so beautifully, and i wished it would go on and on. so good.
thank you @dreamscape_media and mia sheridan for the alc!

Falling for Gage by Mia Sheridan (AARC)
Rating: 3.5/5
Tropes: Small town, mystery.
Falling for Gage is the entertaining story of Rory and Gage that brings us romance with a touch of mystery. Narrated by Maeve York and Benjamin Sands, whose voices worked well together and did a great job of conveying the story to listener. The characters were well written and relatable.
Fans of Mia Sheridan will appreciate this novel that has many cameos from the previous characters in the series.
If youβre looking for a heartwarming romance, I recommend Falling For Gage.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the AARC in exchange for an honest and fair review.

Gage and Rory have a fun night at her familyβs bar and she expects to never see him again β¦ that is until sheβs given an opportunity to seek out who her father is as she heads to Calliope, Maine under the guise of an art collector. Gage is both surprised to see her in his town and furious that she isnβt who she says she is. Gage begins to help Rory and as the two spend more time together their feelings intensify β¦ except Gage is about to move to out of the country for work and Rory is on borrowed time until she has to be back at her familyβs bar.
Gage and Roryβs story is so sweet and Rory is someone Iβd 100% want to be friends with in real life. I LOVE her compassion for animals. I also like that Gage got to be hood authentic self around Rory, his family expectations almost donβt exist. Gage always seemed like a decent guy in the other books however his character may have been.
&& not that I only read this for the cameos but I was here for Archer, Bree and the crew. The entire last 1/4 of the book just set my heart on fire with how happy I was.
I predicted all the plot twists along the way, which is the only reason I didnβt give the book 5 stars.
The narrators Maeve York and Benjamin Sands really captured Rory and Gage. I had goosebumps at times from their narrations.

The first 70% was a 3 star and the last 30% was a 4 star so Iβm settling on a 3.5 star.
I really enjoyed the role that Gageβs family played in the story and the tension it brought. I also really loved Roryβs journey of finding her father and who it was!!
The first 70% of Rory playing as an art evaluator was okay. I enjoyed the last 30% that focused more on the conflict between Gage and Rory.
The narrators were great!

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! I will have this displayed on my shelf as soon as my pre-order arrives!!! π that is the review! 5 stars!
If you want a little more info lol this book 3 of the Pelion series. You know, the ARCHER'S VOICE series. Yes, that one! So we get updates on Archer and Bree. We get updates on my now forgive friend, Travis. And we get introduced to the amazing sweet Gage and one of my favorite FMC's now Rory. Rory is a dog lover, like obsessed with dogs type of dog lover! A plant lady and super caring and hilarious. Gage is described as perfect but he has his struggles and we get to see him overcome them. I mena this book has it all, the LOL, swoon worthy moments, the banter, the spice, and the HEA!

I was so excited to read this book because it is set in the world of Archerβs Voice (a book I loved so much) and it didnβt disappoint! The narration was amazing! I was pulled into the story from chapter one.
Falling for Gage is a book that has great banter, a slow burn romance with a little bit of mystery and well written spice. There were so many moments that made me laugh out loud or smile too.
I also must mention that I absolutely loved the Bree and Archerβs cameos! Their scenes made me want to reread Archerβs Voice soon.
The thing I really didnβt like is the βwe might be siblingsβ trope. I would have been fine with it if it was dealt with quickly.
All in all, Falling for Gage was a very enjoyable read for me. And I definitely recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading small town romances with a hint of mystery.
Thank you Netgalley for providing me with this audio arc.

This book was so good and so sweet! I loved this love story. It was so refreshing. Both of the main characters were so likable that you couldnβt help but root for them. I love how it encourages people to follow their dreams even if itβs off the beaten path.

I listened to this book and loved the narration.
I donβt normally read romance books because they tend to bore me to tears but this one was ok.
The story was a bit too slow for my liking and I totally get why this might be an uncomfortable read for some.
If you're into romance books, you might want to give this one a chance :)

This book was all over okay for me. I did like it, but I also struggled a bit. The fact that there was a subplot to make it more slow burn that lasted for almost half the book didn't help and felt unnecessary.
I did really like the last 20 ish percent much better. The plot was more interesting, and we got all the answers. This book can be read as a standalone but is related to other books by this author.
The narration of this book was really good, and the narrators were a good fit for this story.

Archers Voice was such a good book, one that I would definitely go back and read again. So when I saw Falling for Gage on netgalley I jumped at the chance. The narration was utter perfection for this book. I was hooked from the very first page of listening.
Rory and Gage's chemistry is off the charts, I loved them together. They had banter between them which I always love. I loved the laugh out loud moments between them, they clashed sometimes but it was so fun to read.
I loved the little glimpses of Archer and Bree we got. I would totally read another book about bree and archer.
