A cute and fun enemies to lovers cozy romance. There is some ghost hunting and some supernatural characters but it doesn’t get too crazy if you aren’t into that type of storyline. Connor Grimm has a ghost hunting tv series and wants to feature an orchard called Wicked Good Apples on his show. There are rumors of a ghost haunting the orchard but Connor is also interested in uncovering other supernatural secrets there. Holly, one of the owners of the farm, doesn’t want her secrets revealed but agrees to the show in order to financially save their property.
It was a cute and easy read but I didn’t get all the fall vibes like other readers. I was hoping for a little more spookiness but still enjoyed!
Perfectly wicked by Lindsay Louise is perfect for fans of romance with some magic thrown in, with elements of charmed and ghost hunters this is a cosy witchy romance and a fun read.
"Perfectly Wicked” by Lindsay Lovise is a captivating paranormal romance that I devoured in just one day! Who wouldn't want to escape to a haunted apple orchard in Maine where secrets lurk beneath the surface? This enchanting tale has earned the author a spot on my list of favorite paranormal romance writers.
Releasing on September 17th, “Perfectly Wicked” is a must-add for fans of romance with a spooky twist. The characters are expertly crafted, with Holly and Connor's chemistry being particularly compelling. While the romance is steamy, I appreciated that it didn't overshadow the plot. I'm hoping for a follow-up book to revisit these characters and continue their story.
If you're drawn to paranormal romance with a hint of mystery, add “Perfectly Wicked” to your reading list – you won't be disappointed!
I requested and received an advance reader copy of this book from Alcove Press and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Magical, cozy and spicy; couldn’t ask for more.
Holly Celeste and her family have an apple orchard that produces the best apple cider in town, all thanks to a magical secret ingredient. However, lately the family business hasn’t been doing well and they face bankruptcy. Add into the mix the enchanting Connor Grimm and his famous show “Grimm Reality” about ghosts and the paranormal and we have a riled up Holly, who fears the exposure this will bring to her family and the effect Connor will have in her heart. In spite of her dislike of him and her carefulness not to reveal the secret of the Celeste family, Holly starts to slowly fall in love with the honorable and handsome host of the show. Amidst interviews with people in the town who swear they have seen a ghost in their apple orchard, Holly also unravels the history of her ancestor, which will lead to more truths about her life.
“Holly was unique – he wasn’t sure how unique yet – but interacting with her was like taking a breath of fresh air after a lifetime of living underground”
Full of magic, spookiness and romance, this book is simply amazing. I loved Holly Celeste and the whole Celeste clan (Missy especially was simply charming and funny). Connor also had depth to his character and he and Holly were truly a match. From enemies to lovers, their relationship evolves slowly, with the fear of the near future when he has to leave the orchard and continue his show.
All in all, I give this book a 5/5 stars. This book could perfectly be one of the hottest reads for this autumn.
This book was a wonderfully written cozy read that gave me all of the Practical Magic meets Sabrina the Teenage Witch (if she was an adult of course) vibes. It has enemies to lovers, dual POV, mystery, and a good amount of spice! I loved seeing Connor and Holly's love story unfold and I think this will be the perfect read for fall. I can't wait to get my hands on this book! The whole time I was reading all I wanted to do was curl up by a fire and drink some hot apple cider. If you're looking for a new take on a paranormal romance I highly recommend Perfectly Wicked!
I received a copy from NetGalley and I LOVED it. It felt like a mix of the Ex Hex and Practical Magic. It’s a cozy spooky romance with enough mystery to keep the pages turning. I had a hard time putting it down, and I loved every character! I will be recommending this one as a cozy fall read to my friends and fellow book lovers. I loved every page cover to cover!
📣 a PNR with magic, secrets, & a scruffy ghost hunter
Thanks to the publisher & Netgalley for the complimentary ARC. All opinions provided are my own.
📖 are you a fan of a specific type of apple? Team Honey Crisp all the way!!
It’s not fall but can we all agree that it should be?
Perfectly Wicked by Lindsay Lovise gave me that bit of faux crisp feeling in the air, Apple orchard, ghost haunting, secret-kissing feeling I’ve been craving.
Featuring an apple orchard manager of a long-held family farm & a ghost hunter who wants to showcase said farm on his reality tv show, Perfectly Wicked sets up a great conflict between our leads from the beginning.
Holly & her family have been keeping secrets about their orchard & their family for years & Connor is all about busting them wide open. But Lovise also highlights the good in them & between them & the way they metaphorically set the orchard on fire with 🔥 is definitely something to appreciate.
There are moments this book goes a bit far for me, but it’s also entertaining & atmospheric, & the steam really worked for me, so three big thumbs up!
I’m really looking forward to book 2 & hoping it focuses on two very intriguing characters from this book 👀.
4.25 ⭐️. Out 09/17.

This was my perfect romance book. Enemies to lovers, small town with the paranormal elements? YES. I loved every second of this, and I know for sure this will be an automatic re-read for me.
Holly and her family are in a bit of a bind when it comes to their family's apple orchard. To drum more business and exposure, they (reluctantly) agree to allow Conor, a paranormal investigator, to come film at the farm. Sparks fly when he and Holly meet, and the chemistry and banter between them was cheesy but adorable. Perfectly Wicked is the perfect cozy romance for fall, and has me so looking forward to spooky season!
Thanks to Net Galley and Alcove Press for this advance copy!
I loved this book! It was the perfect segue into fall, had a wonderfully unique magic system, and sizzling chemistry between Holly and Cooper. It leaned into the ghost hunting cliches while still remaining fresh and different enough to stand out. I want to visit Wicked Good Apples so badly, I may have already recommended this book to one of my friends. Excited to have this one on my shelves and come back to it year after year!
I just loved this love story! There is a magical element to this book, but just enough to make it fun. Dual POV, and enemies to lovers. This will be a perfect romance for the fall!!
*4.5 Stars*
Perfectly Wicked is the perfect book for Fall. Who can say no to a haunted apple orchard, ghost hunters and witchy vibes? I fell in love with this book almost immediately. The two main characters chemistry was amazing and although there were some spicy scenes, it was nice to see that the spice was not the main plot to this book. The ending left the possibility of more books, and I am hoping to see more of the Celeste sisters. If you enjoy romance with a spooky vibe, add this to your TBR immediately.
Perfectly Wicked comes out September 17th.
Thank you to NetGalley and Alcove Press for the opportunity to review Perfectly Wicked. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Holly and her family are witches who own Wicked Good Apples orchard. Their business is going down hill, when Conor a paranormal investigator requests to film at their farm. Desperate for exposure and business, the family reluctantly agrees to the show. Holly and Conors banter and interactions were a bit cheesy and Hallmark movie-esque. Its still a cute cozy romantic story that leaves you wanting more I would love a series with her sisters included, a book each.
Cute, giggle and kick your feet worthy romance. It gives its own unique spin on witches and paranormal hunter. The banter between Holly and Conner could have been better but it was worth the read. The family dynamics and interactions were well made and have their own fun personality. Very cute adult romance.
Thank you NetGalley and Alcove Press for the opportunity to read this E-ARC!
Oh my gosh, this book was wickedly adorable!!!!!! The perfect cozy fall romance book! I was hooked right from the very beginning! This book has so many things that I love - enemies to lovers, small town, whimsical witchy vibes. I absolutely adored the main character, Holly - and don’t even get me started on her family! Oh my goodness, they were so incredibly charming! (I kind of hope her sisters get their own books. Wishful thinking 💘) I loved how the relationship between the FMC and MMC unfolded - the timing was perfect, it didn’t feel rushed. And there was even a tiny bit of spice! OH - and there is also a little bit of a mystery entwined as well! I swear - THIS BOOK HAS EVERYTHING! Ugh, it was so stinkin’ cute! This book definitely gave off the same vibes as The Ex Hex, so if you enjoyed that book I have a strong feeling you’ll enjoy this one too! The ending brought tears to my eyes and had me squealing and kicking my feet!
A ‘wicked’ romance featuring ghost hunters? Sign me up!
Holly Celeste and her family’s Orchard Wicked Good Apples is in trouble. If they don’t pull in more money and soon, it’ll go under. They have two options:
- Sell the Orchard to their neighbours/enemies The Apple Dream
- Allow Grimm Productions to use their Orchard as a subject for their hit ghost hunting show ‘Grimm Reality’.
Reluctantly she decides to finally give in to the hounding of Connor Grimm and with some tough negotiations, allows them to film 3 episodes for the show. Connor has been desperate to investigate the Wicked Good Orchard, ever since hearing of the strange goings on from the community and the anonymous picture he was sent which shows there might be more than ghosts to find.
The unwanted attraction between Holly and Connor, along with his determination to uncover all the secrets that may lie in Celeste’s family history (and her trying to keep them hidden) leads to both sides finding out secrets they could have never expected.
I loved the strong female presence in this book. Not just from the Celeste family but from how the history of their powers are explained. I don’t want to spoil anything but let’s just say I completely agree with Mother Mage’s decision!
I enjoyed the development of the types of magic we see. It was refreshing to see her add more layers than just keeping it simple.
I found that I was more invested in the mystery of the ghost of the councilman and the Celeste family history than the romance between Connor and Holly. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing!
I am curious to see if this will be a standalone or a series, as the ending and the ominous Shadow council would lead for an interesting continuation.
This would be a great book to add to your autumn tbr for all the apple cider and witchy vibes 🍎 🍁
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I'm a sucker for a witchy/magical romance. However, I have a problem with the fact that the author used a racial slur to describe a ghost. Like, several times. I realize the author may not realize sp**k is a slur (there was once a time where I was uninformed about this as well) but I truly hope that will be edited out before this book is published. I would've rated this higher if that was left out.
I enjoyed this book immensely! The halloween/autumn vibes were immaculate. I just wanted to curl up by a fireplace with some apple cider and devour this story! I’m really hoping this will become a series because I want more from these characters!
Holly and her eccentric family run an apple cider orchard in Maine, although lately, the entire endeavor has been struggling. After a neighbor offers to buy her land, in walks Connor Grimm of Grimm Reality, a ghosthunting show shown nationwide, asking to locate ghosts on her premises. She quickly realizes that he’s not just there for ghosts - he may also want to prove that she’s part of the supernatural element at Wicked Good Apples - a witch! Although the two start as enemies things quickly change and they realize that something evil lurks in their orchard and their talents (and intense physical attraction) are better aligned together.
Wow! I haven’t read a book that got me this excited for new installments in a while! I truly enjoyed this book and Lovise did an excellent job with the world she created for these characters to exist in, and now I must know more! There is a well-developed ensemble cast in Holly, her twin sisters, and her two aunts; their stories beg to be told. The entire book has an overwhelming autumn vibe, perfect for reading near Halloween, and it gives me Practical Magic nostalgia! I think it is really remarkable how she has managed to make a book that is a romance but it has the legs to potentially develop the paranormal/fantasy angle further with the details introduced at the end of the story. I absolutely LOVED this book and as I have mentioned before, I want more! A well-written paranormal romance - original, cinematic, and sexy!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.
What a great concept on the witch theme! I enjoyed the twists and the evil councilman's end. The sisters and aunts are each well developed and real. Perfect ending too!
