This collection of essays wasn't for me. It was too lyrical for my personal taste, but I know this will be a hit with a lot of people. The themes were interesting, but the writing style just wasn't for me.
I realize this book was a collection of essays, but for me, it did not read as one. It didn't read as a linear book either though for I found it to be all over the place. I was drawn to this book because of the beautiful cover and the description posted. However, I found the description, for me, did not match what I was reading in the book. It goes between being more scientific than expected, to the relationship between the author and her boyfriend, to some model cities and on and on. and back again. I did not find the nature that I expected there. I gave this book two stars only for the cover. Otherwise, one star for the text. My apologies to the author. I thank NetGalley and Greywolf Press for the advance look.
