A sweet novella and a quick read. I was surprised how much character development there was given it was a short story. A very enjoyable read.

Goyer takes a fascinating perspective on the Amish stance of peacekeeping and interacting with the Englisch in this book. It's also a historical fiction Amish book, which is much more rare than your typical Amish story, and she uses the setting in unique ways. I really enjoyed it.
