The relationship between Quinn and Marcus as a Dom and sub has the same obstacles any new couple would face –learning to trust, learning how to mesh their different lifestyles together, and learning how to make the relationship work in a way that satisfies them both. That the pair are also falling in love makes the strange world of BDSM more palatable for those who aren’t into the scene, and turns the dom/sub aspect into just one of the complications the pair needs to deal with as they navigate their way into becoming a couple.

Quinn spent her life doing what she is told, from her mother to her agent to her director; she has a need to please everyone around her. It was not until she met Marcus and he taught her how to be a sub and the power that comes with it that she realized she had to take responsibility for her life and start making her own decisions. Being a sub increased Quinn’s confidence and gave her the strength to take back her life. Sometimes admitting your vulnerability makes you a stronger person than someone who tries to impose their will over others, and Quinn found strength in her weakness.

I quite enjoyed this book and have actually read it a second time since I first received the ARC. The series now contains seven books, included the much desired novel for Rock --a secondary character with military training, dom tendencies and a tantalizing mystique. Needless to say, I will be looking to get my hands on that novel and I hope it is as fabulous as this one was.
