FATAL STRIKE by Shannon McKenna. This story tells the tale of Lara and Miles. They both have various psychic abilities which creates a link between them. There is danger and suspense, and, of course, the journey to love for our main characters. While I did enjoy the story, the writing style was a bit choppy for me. This was an ARC so it might have been edited before being published. Overall, a good read. (NetGally Arc for honest review)

This is the only book in the series that i have read and i felt that it could be read as a stand alone book, however it might have been nice to get the previous information about Miles from the previous books on my side.

Miles has psi abilities that manifested after he was mind fucked in another battle to find Lara that was unsuccessful. After time in a coma and time in the wilderness by himself he is still struggling with his new abilities, but now he is hearing a voice in his head that claims to be Lara. His has also been having sex dreams with her most nights.

Lara has been kidnapped and imprisoned for months and it is only when she finds the citidel does she find some quiet time out when tripping, she does not know that she has entered Miles's mind.

After Miles completes an almost solo rescue of Lara things get more interesting and Lara and Miles fall further for each other, and learn new things about themselves along the way.

Both Lara and Mile are strong characters and both cope well with the changes in their lives and Lara shows great compassion for those around her. Miles also shows that he will do anything required to save those that he loves.

I did enjoy this story but i did find that it was a long read and took me a while in order to get through it and it did not keep me as captivated as some other books.
