I have been looking forward to this book since Bailey announced it. I had super high expectations for this and it definitely met them.
The Quit List was fantastic from start to finish. I loved the characters, the setting, and the plot. I fell in love with this story. Everything about it was perfect. The romance was swoon worthy and adorable, plus it was plenty steamy. Definitely for fans who love the grumpyxsunshine and dating lessons.
Entertaining romance. Sure, we know where this is headed but it is a delightful adventure to get there. Lots of personal growth for each individual. Great friends and family. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
Synopsis: Holly has had her fair share of bad luck with online dating, so she recruits Jax, the bartender at her go-to first date spot, to be her dating coach.
Thoughts: What always impresses me is how Katie Bailey writes closed door romances filled with so much tension and top notch banter. The platonic and romantic relationships never feel juvenile, and the spicy kisses delivered. I loved seeing Holly grow as a person and realize what is truly important in a relationship versus what she originally wanted. Jax, on the other hand, was a closed off wilderness man (with forearms) that slowly opened himself up to the idea of a relationship and love. What more can you want?! Oh and if you read Seasons Schemings (which is not necessary to understand this standalone), it was nice to see so much of Maddie and Seb’s happily ever after.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Eleventh Avenue Publishing/Victory Editing for approving my request to read The Quit List! I really enjoyed this book! There’s something so compelling about a high-maintenance fmc and a nature-loving mmc, it’s really a great dynamic for exploring funny situations and differing mindsets. I would recommend this book to anyone in the mood for a light read with opposites-attract leads, and I look forward to reading more books by Katie Bailey!

I have a massive crush on Jax and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I love a rom-com where the relationship naturally progresses and they don't jump into bed right away. The Quit List offered both those things and amazing banter. It was like listening to my friends talk, except none of my friends are attractive outdoors men.
"Seeking Prince Charming" is a feel-good romance that will leave readers smiling long after they've turned the final page. With its engaging characters, charming storyline, and heartfelt message, this novel is a must-read for fans of light-hearted romcoms. Whether you're new to Katie Bailey's work or a longtime fan, "Seeking Prince Charming" is sure to delight and entertain.

Thank you so much NetGalley for this early review copy!
Katie Bailey has become one of my go to authors for fun, laugh out loud, light hearted romcoms. I was so super excited to get this book and it did not disappoint at all! If you’re new to Katie Bailey, this is a great place to start. There are some appearances of characters from other books, but you don’t have to have read them already. But if you have read them, you’ll smile and giggle to see them or hear about them again.. Enjoy!

This book was so dang cute! I liked the cameos from previous book! I loved their banter and the getting to know you phase. Jax is so great and I love that he helped Holly find herself.

Amazing story . Holly is looking for the perfect man and so far the matches from the dating app is awful . At the last date she is saved by the bartender of the restaurant . Jax who has watched her spent the last 10 Saturday with different men believes she is a player but he helps her out when her date is insulting her . While talking they learn about each other that they both want different things in life . She wants a serious relationship and to be married and he doesn't want to get married and have serious reletionships . But Holly understand that he can help her find the right man so she ask for his help and she will help him with the marketing of his wilderness business . As they work together and they have a spent few days on a backcountry hiking trip he realises that he is in love with her and he want to really try to be happy with her .
I received this book from netgalley and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .
This is the flirtiest book I’ve ever read! A great read, I got myself comfortable and enjoyed Jax and Holly’s playful flirty banter. I was surprised to read how all the MCs from previous books are connected, really cool.
4⭐️ This book made me want to dust the cobwebs off my hiking boots and go out into the wilderness. I enjoyed it a lot more than I was anticipating, so I am just absolutely content. The plot was so fun and the author’s writing has improved so much since her first book. It flowed well, and I could just turn off my brain and enjoy myself. I seriously read this in a day.
Both characters were top tier. We’ve got a ruggedly handsome bartender/mountain man, and absolutely adorable marketing girly. I enjoyed both of them so much. They were both sweet, adorable, witty and had some of the greatest chemistry and banter. We also got major character growth from both Holly and Jax, which was so refreshing. So I suggest you pick this up if you just want to have a fun, lighthearted, good ol’ time out in the wilderness with some of the funnest characters I’ve read about in a while.
I highly recommend reading this if you enjoy:
- No third-act breakup
- Dual POV
- Dating Coaching
- Opposites Attract
- Closed-door

When I read Maddi and Seb’s story, I couldn’t wait to read Jax’s story!! It did not disappoint. I loved both stories but something about Jax had me really loving this one! We start with Holly and her horrible dates! Jax comes in to save her and it’s from there they seem to form a friendship. Holly going to Jax for dating advice and for help finding the perfect guy. As Jax and Holly spend more time together, Jax realizes that maybe relationships aren’t so bad after all. And just maybe Holly realizes that “her list” needs to change some.
This was a great story. A fun, cute, and charming love story! You won’t regret reading this one!
Oh. My. God.
Pardon me for a moment.

Ok. I'm back. Now, where were we? Oh, yes, please allow me to tell you how much I love The Quit List and why I think you'll love it too.
Hit it or Quit it. Holly enters the new year determined to start living after having spent too long in a holding pattern. Her attempts to find love lead to one bad date after another. All at the same restaurant. It's there that she catches Jax's attention. After he comes to her rescue, Jax ends up as Holly's relationship coach, and she helps him market his new wilderness adventure business. They're both chasing after what that want, but what will happen when what they want changes?
Friends to Lovers with exceptional chemistry, witty banter, and sizzing tension? Yes. To all of it. The writing was so clever and snappy that I couldn't put it down. The characters were so well developed and fit together so perfectly that their chemistry leapt off the page. This is exactly the type of book I'd read again and again. Katie Bailey is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. I'd gladly read anything she writes, including her grocery list.
The banter had me giggling and kicking my feet up. And the tension had me turning the pages at a feral pace. The slow burn was utterly swoon worthy. Everything about this book felt like it was perfectly tailored to me and everything I love.
I can't recommend this enough. Please read it. You won't be disappointed.
I love Katie Baileys stories. She is a go to author for me. This book was such a fun read. I devoured it on a flight and it really helped pass the time. I love the characters. The writing makes them relatable and enjoyable. My only complaint is that I felt the ending was rushed and resolved quickly. I will continue to seek out Katie Baileys books in the future.
Five stars is not enough for this book!! I was so into this book I couldn’t even put it down. I loved Holly and Jax so much! Their banter and chemistry was amazing. One of the best book couples ever. I already want to re-read this book and I just finished it! Add this to your TBR you will not be disappointed!!
Loved this book. It was funny and very hot. But it also had some intrigue and an unusual storyline for a romance which made it a real page-turner. I would definitely recommend it! But be prepared to swoon.
4.25 stars
This was a cute friends to lovers, commitment-phobe x wants/to-settle-down book. Jax was kind of a reformed “bad boy”, outdoorsy mountain man but right off the bat you could see how sweet he was and I loved how he just couldn’t stay away from Holly.
Holly is your classic “nice girl”, gets pushed around by her a-hole boss and goes on terrible dates.
I really enjoyed the relationship ship between these two. It’s definitely a slow burn but the chemistry is there right from the beginning and I think their relationship progressed in a very natural way and allowed them a lot of character development.
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the ARC
Ok I LOVE Jax and Holly so so much!! I love the naturey settings, I love both of their jobs and how they get to live in and work from a cabin in nature. I love their dog. I love their meeting story. I love everything! Such a cute book and Jax is a new book boyfriend!
