A wonderful continuation and closure to a lovely series. TJ Klune magically weaves so many important themes into a magical cozy story of found family. I have yet to meet a person who does not like this series. A crowd pleaser and perfect read for all.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!
This was only an excerpt that was available. I did end up buying a physical copy because I had to know what would happen! The beloved characters from book one were back and had their usual sassy banter and personalities that make us adore them. The set up of this book was enjoyable right off the bat. I cannot wait to read the whole book now that I own it, and maybe even after a reread of the house in the cerulean sea.

I absolutely cannot wait to continue this book, and am so thankful to have been able to read this excerpt. This book is shaping up to be a favorite, and a wonderful continuation of the series.
Klune’s writing always feels like a warm hug, and I love that while his stories are always cozy, magical, and heartfelt, he also isn’t afraid to tackle hard issues and themes. I also loved being back with these characters - will absolutely be recommending this book to others as a great follow-up to book one.

I thought this was a perfectly enjoyable sample. Perhaps lacking some of the same charm as the previous novel. I'd need to read the rest of the book to know for sure.

This was a great preview of the book and made me even more excited to read the full book. It takes place not too long after the events of the first book. I loved the return to the house with Arthur and Linus and all the kids.

I love this book, I love all his writing, I got it on NetGalley, and also purchased it because I love it so much. I have never been disappointed by Klune, and that streak remains. Excellent pacing, such a lovely plot, characters are so ... perfect. Love to see great writers do so well.

My favorite characters are back—and I should have loved it! But I didn’t. This book, sadly, wasn’t written to continue the story, but to just get an agenda across. I will forever love the characters, but if I got so tired of Arthur spewing some one-liner about peace and love and acceptance. That same message came across in the first book without having to be blatantly thrown in your face.

Cannot explain to you the joy I felt reading this book I didn't know how desperately I needed and just revisiting these characters who felt more like friends that people on a page. "The House in the Cerulean Sea" remains my favorite book, but this was a beautiful follow up to it. A different tone from it's predecessor, but with the same raw beauty that "House" had. Honored to have gotten more story from this world that I didn't know I needed but definitely did.

I really enjoyed Somewhere Beyond the Sea. It is a great follow up to the first book. I had some difficulty getting into the book as easily as I did the first one. There are a lot more politics driving the story in this one and it lost my interest a bit in the third quarter of the book. I really enjoy the atmosphere that these books create and the love and care that Klune clearly puts into his subject matter.
It's definitely worth a read, especially if you enjoyed the first book.

Loved this one, definitley a favorite of mine, I love Klune, what he stands for, and what he will NOT be afraid to defend. Gay men writing about gay men will always be superior to a woman writing about gay men.

After falling in love with The House in the Cerulean Sea, I was overjoyed to meet up with these characters again and be back in their world. The sample was a lovely teaser and I have since purchased my own copy so I can finish reading the remainder.

Loved loved loved this addition to the story started in the first book. I loved the furthering of the world, the found family coming together, the symbolism of divide and hope despite it. A good read and would absolutely recommend, especially if you read the first.

TJ Klune never disappoints. I loved The House In The Cerulean Sea, so I was beyond excited to see that there was going to be a sequel. The first book was stronger than this one, but I was not disappointed by this one at all. Will be recommending to all. Thank you NetGalley and Tor Books for this ARC.

I love TJ Klune and try to read each one of his new releases. I was so happy to jump back in where House in the Serulean Sea left off. I feel that TJ Klune always writes in the definition of cozy and I highly recommend Somewhere Beyond the Sea.

I loved being back in this world and getting a lot more of Arthur’s background through his perspective. I absolutely loved the children in the first book, and I was so happy their personalities continued to shine in this one. Any part dealing with all of them and their antics was my favorite. The way Arthur lets them learn and work through problems is heartwarming and I loved the life lessons along the way. The found family theme continued and was done in a great way. Even though a couple parts could be long winded I still liked the emotions from the characters and the battle between Arthur and the government.
Thank you @netgalley @torbooks for the gifted copy.

Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune is a heartwarming and enchanting tale that beautifully combines elements of fantasy, romance, and self-discovery. Klune's storytelling is both captivating and tender, making this novel a delightful read from beginning to end.
One particularly magical moment in the book is when the protagonist, Liam, encounters a mysterious sea creature that changes his perspective on life and love. This scene is not only pivotal to the plot but also showcases Klune’s talent for creating vivid and imaginative worlds. The detailed description of the encounter, coupled with the emotional depth of Liam’s realization, leaves a lasting impression on the reader and propels the story into a realm of wonder and possibility.
Throughout the novel, Klune excels in developing multi-faceted characters who are both relatable and endearing. Liam’s journey from a lonely, disillusioned man to someone who embraces the extraordinary is both inspiring and heartwarming. The relationships he forms along the way, particularly with the enigmatic sea creature, are portrayed with such warmth and authenticity that readers can't help but become emotionally invested in his story.
This book is a beautifully written and emotionally resonant novel that will leave you with a sense of hope and wonder. TJ Klune has crafted a story that is not just to be read but to be cherished.

MY HEART!!!!! This sequel did not disappoint. It was like a warm hug from a familiar friend. It isn't often a sequel lives up to it's prequel but TJ Klune is no novice! I was enchanted and found the entire book to be a comfort.

Nobody does found family quite like TJ Klune. This sequel was a perfect continuation of the first book, and the characters are all fantastic. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for this advanced copy in exchange for review.

Thank you Tor Publishing group for the eARc in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own!
This story did not quite hit the same mark that I had at the end of the first one. However, I will say listening to some of this on audiobook really changed the book for me. The different character's voices and everything really came alive. I thought that was a really nice touch given that the characters are all so different. This story follows all the kids after they are being cared for by Arthur. This was pretty emotional with all that they had to fight for. It really takes you on the journey of Arthur having to defend himself and the children. I thought it was beautiful the way the love Arthur has for his partner and kids really shown through. The government is trying to catch Arthur in doing something wrong or in a lie so that the kids will be forced to go live somewhere different. This story takes us through most of that battle.

I adored the House in the Cerulean Sea and was worried that this wouldn't be as good or would hurt the original story. I was wrong - it was wonderful.
