Getting this excerpt was such an incredible honor. I know it’s just the first four chapters, but I’m already hooked into the continuation of Arthur, Linus, and the kids.

TJ Klune’s "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" is a masterful blend of poignant storytelling, vibrant characters, and heartfelt emotion. Klune weaves a tale that is as enchanting as it is profound, exploring themes of love, loss, and the courage to start anew. The richly detailed world and endearing characters make for an immersive reading experience that stays with you long after the final page. With his signature warmth and wit, Klune delivers a story that is both uplifting and deeply moving. A must-read for anyone seeking a beautifully crafted journey of the heart.

What I truly love most about Klune's writing is that this story is about a group of misunderstood children, that the world wants to keep controlled and hidden. In reality, while Klune doesn't tackle LGBT discrimination and prejudices in his writing, this theme can be applied to so much! His work always touches the heart and soul.

Klune is known for their heartwarming, inclusive stories that often blend fantasy, humor, and deep emotions. Their previous works like "The House in the Cerulean Sea" and "Under the Whispering Door" have captivated readers with their unique characters and touching narratives.
I can say that I'm excited about the prospect of reading "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" in full when it becomes available based on this excerpt. Given Klune's track record of creating magical, emotional stories that celebrate love in all its forms, I'm sure this new book will be equally enchanting. I look forward to experiencing Klune's signature blend of whimsy, warmth, and wisdom.

A delightful tease for what will surely be an instant hit for lovera of Klune's universe. To return to these beloved characters is heartwarming. I can't wait to see the continued ways in which Linus and company grow and learn from each other and the world.

I am so thrilled to be returning to the enchanting island and reuniting with all the beloved characters from *The House in the Cerulean Sea* in *Somewhere Beyond the Sea*.

Only four chapters in, and I'm already hooked, tears may have been shed tears too. The start of the storyline is compelling and promises an even more mature narrative than the previous book. I love that we are getting a deeper look at Arthur Parnassus & who he is. The emotional depth and intricate character development that are showing have me eagerly awaiting the full release in September.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I thought this was a fantastic excerpt and I cannot wait to read the full novel. I really think TJ Klune has magic up his sleeve that pours out as he writes. There is something so engaging about his characters, so enjoyable about his plots, it draws you into the world and plops you down and you never want to leave. Looking forward to reading more!

This was just an excerpt and I loved it - it took me a minute to remember these characters from Cerulean Sea, but it was lovely to catch up with them again and I was immediately sucked into the story. His writing is so vivid, I can see this movie in my head as I read. I can't wait for the full book!

Wow, I cannot WAIT to read this book in its entirety!! I loved jumping right back into the world of Arthur, Linus, and their merry band of misfits. Getting to read a bit once Arthur’s backstory and seeing Linus and Arthur together and the kids up to their usual antics made me so happy. These 75 pages alone left me wanting to read more!

Thank you to NetGalley and Tor Books for the opportunity to read the excerpt of this book. As if I wasn’t already hooked from the first book, now I am counting the days for the full book release!!

I fell In love with the house in the cerulean sea When it first came out and have been waiting for the sequel to come out ever since. I am so grateful that I was able to read the first four chapters of the next book. Even though it was a short excerpt of this book I feel the he encapsulates the love and soul that the first book had only amplified to the 100th degree.

I loved how I was able to just jump right back into this world again, it shows how powerful T.J. Klune’s writing is. I was dumped right back and knew where I stood and how much the children had grown up from the previous book. I stop couldn't squealing from now much I was enjoying being back with these characters. I will be shouting this book from the roof tops and begging anyone for read this heart warming writing that only T.J.Klune’s can provide.

All I can say is that I’m ready to read the whole book! I had the pleasure of sampling the first four chapters of “Somewhere Beyond the Sea,” and I have fallen right back in love with these characters. They’re just as endearing in this follow-up novel to Klune’s initial hit “The House in the Cerulean Sea.” I’m excited to learn more about the backstory of sweet Arthur Parnassus… While I can’t speak to the arc of this entire second book, I can tell you that my heart soared just dipping back into Klune’s magical world for a bit!

I am so darn excited for this sequel that I can’t imagine waiting months for the rest. This excerpt was the perfect teaser. I loved that it started out with a bit of Arthur’s history with the house and why he came back. The children are still amazing and hilarious.

Now to go reread the first one as this one made me want to revisit the magic of the original.

Thanks so much for the early few chapters!

I will absolutely be sharing this on my Instagram page soon (and likely more than once leading up to pub day) and will update with the link.

I received an eARC of the first four chapters of Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune—and I smiled through all 75 glorious pages!
The House in the Cerulean Sea is one of my all time favorite books. When I finished reading it in 2022 I immediately hoped we would get to revisit Arthur, Linus, and the six most wonderful magical children in a sequel. And here we are 😭
The excerpt started off as a flashback with Arthur in the prologue and then jumped to present day at the orphanage on Marsyas Island 🥰
These books have some of the sweetest queer love stories and so much lgbtq+ representation🏳️‍🌈❤️ I think of this cast characters daily (my own lil found family) 🥹
I simply cannot wait to have a copy of the full length novel in my hands on September 10th 2024.
(If you can’t tell, the excerpt alone was 5/5⭐️ and I assume my rating will not change when I read the whole book 😝)
**A special thanks to NetGalley and Tor Publishing for the eARC excerpt.

TJ Klune always knows how to write the most heartwarming stories! The first four chapters of Somewhere Beyond the Sea reintroduced readers to the world of Arthur Parnassus and his magical children. You can feel his love for these orphaned kids immediately and I felt as if I had never left this story between the first book and this excerpt. Can’t wait to read the rest when it publishes!

I got the opportunity to read an excerpt of this novel and I'm beyond excited for the release 😭!

**Thank you, NetGalley, for sending an ARC of this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

It was just a preview of a few chapters and a prologue, but trust me, it was more than enough to destroy me. I'm convinced this is going to be another great success for the author. I'm a big fan of his work, but I was scared when I knew The House in the Cerulean Sea was going to have a sequel. That book is currently seating comfortably at the top of my list, nothing is getting close to it! I was afraid the sequel would ruined that for me (it was a silly and baseless thought).

I love that we got to know what's inside of Arthur's mind, and more details about his past. It was an amazing character from Linus's perspective, but it's even better now!

The kids are growing up, and as always their interactions got me laughing. I specially liked how we can see the difference in their relationship with Linus in comparison to the first book. There was a scene of them celebrating Linus's birthday (it was actually a 'birt', but whatever) and I teared up a little with their gift 🥲.

I was surprised when I realized what was going to happen plot-wise in this book!! It sounded complicated and mind-blowing, isn't it wonderful? 🤭

I wish I could share more details, but I don't want to give spoilers! What am I supposed to do with my life now that I have this information?

I love TJ Klune books, and was so excited to see that a sequel was coming soon for "The House in the Cerulean Sea." This excerpt from the sequel reacquainted me with the fabulous main characters of this world. I loved hearing the island characters voices again in this excerpt, and I cannot wait to read the whole book. Since it was only an excerpt, I hesitate to give it a rating but I am doing so based on my love for this story and how it has been set up thus far.
