Ummm okay I clearly need to read the first book to this sequel because WHAT??? This was a 4 chapter excerpt and I’m missing some of the previous plot but everyone has RAVED about the previous book so *adds to tbr* 😂 until then, I will be anxiously waiting until Somewhere Beyond the Sea gets released in September 🥵

*Thank you to Tor Publishing Group via NetGalley & the author for the opportunity to read this e-arc excerpt*

Although Somewhere Beyond The Sea was as fantastic as I knew it would be… I also did not realize it was only an excerpt. Therefore, I’ am now sad because I want to keep reading but can’t.

With that being said, I clearly am SO excited to read the full book!

This bite sized excerpt is as enchanting and captivating as the first book. The beloved characters return and it feels like a hug from a long lost friend. We get a glimpse into "the before" of the house by the sea was the welcoming orphanage we know and love. We also get the glorious moments of life together after Linus returns to the house for good.
The DICOMY drama isn't over. I anxiously await how it all unfolds.
Even within this tiny excerpt you get the punch in the gut "real talk" that TJ Klune is known for. You won't walk away without hearing some truly important lessons about life.

“But I believe the greatest weapon we have at our disposal is our voices. And I am going to use my voice for you, and for me. Hate is loud. We are louder.”

The first 4 chapters set us up beautifully for the rest of the book. Linus and Arthur are trying to adopt the children and must go to court. They immediately encounter obstacles making their goal potentially more difficult to reach.

I can’t wait to read the rest of this!!

I was so excited to receive this ARC but extremely disappointed it is only an excerpt! However, it only makes the anticipation to read it much more!! I read the house on the cerulean sea not long ago and LOVED it! This story precede that story about 5 years from Arthur’s point of view buying the house on the propert with the intention of making an improvement in others lives in which he was not given the same guidance. I also love that it goes back to current day and Linus and Arthur and back in action and tackling a new child. Can’t wait to read the entire book!!

With a riveting plot and well-developed characters, Klune effortlessly draws readers into his world, leaving them eager for more. Having loved the first book, I am thrilled to embark on the journey that *Somewhere Beyond the Sea* promises to deliver. Klune's ability to create depth and complexity in his characters is unmatched, allowing readers to form deep connections with each one. From the first page, I was hooked, and I have no doubt that the remainder of *Somewhere Beyond the Sea* will be an unforgettable adventure.

I fell in love with the characters of Linus and Arthur in the first book, and this excerpt from the second book did not disappoint. I'm excited to find out how they will support the children at the home and gain rights back for magical children everywhere. I loved seeing the character development of Linus and Arthur as their relationship grows. They are an unstoppable team, and the world-building in this series is getting better and better.

A first look at the sequel to the House on the Cerulean Sea. This one focuses more on Arthur. and the potential of a new magical child. This seems like it will be really good based on this excerpt! I think it definitely would help people to read the first one first so that they are more acquainted with the characters.

I didn’t realize that when I got an ARC for this book, it was just the first four chapters and now I’m miffed that I don’t get to pull an all nighter and gobble it up in one sitting 😠.

I ADORED the first book and from what I did get to read, this one has the same flow and humor as the first which is a good sign. Sadly I can’t give much of an opinion at this stage but consider me excited and hopeful!

I LOVED the first book, and I am beyond excited to read the rest of this story! The world, the characters, and the storytelling are just so incredibly inviting.

Although it’s hard to rate and review an excerpt of a novel, I’m almost 100% confident that this book will fully live up to the hype. I cannot wait to finish once it is published!!

It was so nice to be back in the world of Arthur and Linus and the kids on the island! These four short chapters grabbed my attention and mode me long for the full book and more of the kids and their emerging powers and Arthur's love and care for each of them, but most especially Lucy. I can't wait for the full book to be released and look forward to recommending it to those who've already been introduced to the Cerulean world as well as recommending to those who will be excited by a new series now that there are two books. Thank you to Tor, NetGalley, and TJ Klune for the early access to the these early chapters in exchange for my honest opinion.

Picking up where House in the Cerulean Sea left off, this novel is like a warm hug from all of your favorite characters. Arthur and Linus are back, loving each other and their magical bunch of magical children. Klune's trademark warmth, humor, and ability to write characters with depth and emotion creates an enthralling story . I was given an excerpt to review, and absolutely can't wait to read the rest of the book. I wait with baited breath.

Literally so excited to read the rest of this book after reading this excerpt! The House in the Cerulean Sea was a perfect glimpse into Arthur's life and the lives of the children, but because it doesn't come from his perspective. This book satisfies the itch of giving Arthur's point of view, and I'm so excited to read more!

The way I SCREAMED when I got the email I was approved for this excerpt!

I was so excited. "The House in the Cerulean Sea" is one of my favorite books of all time. "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" picks up almost a year after Cerulean Sea. Klune introduces us to a much younger Arthur and more of his backstory. We get a glimpse into what their lives have been like over the past year and the relationships Linus has developed with each one in the house. It's just as precious. I like that we have already seen such tender interactions between Linus and Arthur as they navigate DICOMY issues. These kids are some of my favorite book characters ever, and I can't wait to read the rest of their story.

It was only four chapters?? I NEED MORE. September 10th can't come soon enough! Thank you Netgalley, Tor Books, and TJ Klune for an advanced digital copy!
