This was a beautiful Christmas tale about 2 people whose hearts had found their other half. The book has plenty of steam as these two mate for Christmas as the title implies. Of course, their entire romantic vacation isn't all snowboarding and fishing, they rescue injured hikers, chase down the missing and help the police bust a ring of criminals. Along the way, we touch back in with lead couples from previous books. It is nice to get an update on who has kids and who has kids on the way. Family both biological and pack play a huge role in the story and you get a true sense of family closeness.
What I personally found the most interesting about this story was how so many of the loose story lines tied together. In the beginning of the book, Sheri is doing her private eye job and has multiple open cases that she is working on or just resolved and both come back in big ways when adventure comes calling during their trip. Speaking of trips, the book actually opened with a different type of trip that will give you the feels when Slade and Sheri take a mommy dog and her pups to their forever family. Slade clearly has a big heart as this story proves and the fact the Shari did not hesitate to push date night to this trip proves she is the one for him. The pair had amazing chemistry and an amazing support system in their loving family and friends.
I am not new to Terry Spear's book but I am new to this pack. That is something I will remedy soon because this book was a fun read full of love, family, Christmas, puppies and adventure.
Thanks to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for the opportunity to read this ARC.

This is my first book of Terry Spear.
If you are a fan of the genre and Christmas, then this book is for you! While I enjoyed the story and the characters, especially Slade and Sheri (their love story - I felt it could have been a bit more detailed than their cottage heroics), there was something about the writing that kept throwing me off and taking me a bit out of the story and that is why I am giving a 4 stars. I would definitely read another book from Terry!!!
I got this as an ARC! Thank you to Terry Spear and Sourcebooks Casablanca!

I usually like the books about wolves very much but unfortunately this story was very difficult to read. It was a little too descriptive and felt like a lot of filler that was unnecessary. I love to get lost in the worlds of my books but with these two characrers I felt I was reading more of a script with little emotion to the story. I love strong female characters and that these two were more partners than one dominating the other but just could not get into the story line because I just could not get lost in their world or their love story.

Sheri is a private detective with a wolf pack in Minnesota. Her brother Hans is supposed to go on a winter ice fishing trip with her boyfriend Slade. But when Hans gets sick, Slade and Sheri go on the winter vacation together, and their relationship turns serious. When they are at the cabin, they hear someone calling for help, and learn that a storm has caused problems for some other vacationers. Sheri and Slade help the men, who saw something strange nearby, get medical attention, When Sheri and Slade investigate, they find a downed plane, and it appears that someone was up to no good. I did wonder about Sheri's client seeking her out at a remote winter cabin asking her to work a case when the office was staffed with other capable detectives--would they really reveal the location of a vacationing colleague? Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

This is an entertaining and engaging holiday romance that fans of the genre will love. This is Slade and Shari's story that opens with what is supposed to be a fun winter cabin vacation. What follows involves criminals, flying bullets, and a plane crash. Fortunately, they're wolves, so they have a bit of shifter abilities to help them resolve the situation.
I loved this book and was turning pages just as quickly as possible, until I got to the last section, then it started to drag on a bit. I still enjoyed it and recommend it, but took of a star. The author is on my must read authors ' list
