The book shows how families come in so many different looks, living in different environments and house types, but we all have the same needs and desires. The book is heartwarming and sweet, showing how we are all different, but also the same. The illustrations are bright and fun.
This book is a cute rhyming book about all the things it takes to run a household. If you live in an apartment, cabin or a house it takes a village. From washing clothes to recycling to making a bed it shows all the things that happen on a daily basis. It also talks about how it is a family affair and how everyone can pitch in and help and learn new things they don’t know. I think this would be a great book for any home library.
This was a cute book. I loved that it showed that all families are basically the same, we all show love when we help out around the house...whether the task be big or small.

Our Home is an incredibly sweet picture book that shows all sorts of different families and the homes that they have made their own. It discusses all of the little jobs that are needed to keep homes nice & cozy and gives kids easy ideas on ways that they can help take ownership of their home.
I loved how the book really showed appreciation for all of the parents that make homes run so smoothly & clearly communicated that to kids without being preachy about chores. The illustrations were amazing and each home showcased different qualities & love.
I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who reads picture books. Thanks to NetGalley, Lori Sugarman-Li, and The Collective Book Studio for the chance to read and review!
A really sweet book about what goes into a home. Each person learning and helping each other. Making a mess or mistake and trying again. Appreciating each other and all that is done for you that you don’t even think about!
I loved this and I think it’s a good opportunity to talk with kids about these things. To take things a step at a time and help them learn responsibility.

Our Home is a lovely rhyming book about all the ways that families are different, but also how we are all the same. It's a good book to use for students to make connections to others and their own lives.
A great little story about how there are a million and one different ways to have a family but we’re all so similar in so many ways. The showcasing of diverse families and the intentionality with which labor is divided was great to see.
Love how it showcases the differences and similarities between families. It shows how we are all connected by certain things we say or do. The illustrations were amazing!
I received an ARC of this children's book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The book is heartwarming and sweet, showing how we are all different, but also the same. The book is a quick easy read that captivates and holds little one’s attention.
The illustrations are bright and fun. Maria Perera does a great job creating fun heartwarming drawings that bring joy to the reader. Her drawings are extremely detailed, capturing omens and experiences.
I did not know how the author would incorporate chores and the appreciation of keeping a house clean! I read this with my kids and they were motivated lol. This was a bit long, but very colorful.
A lovely way to show how chores fit into a family and different ways a child can help depending on what they are capable of. The rhymes were lovely and the illustrations were perfect. Everyone’s home is different, but also in some ways the same.
This was absolutely adorable! I loved that there was representation of so many types of families and people! I think this would be a great book to gift!

This book made me so happy!!
The rhymes felt unique and almost effortless, which is always great when you have rhyming the whole way through. It really helped the story to flow nicely and nearly felt like a song.
The pictures!! The pictures were absolutely beautiful, the illustrator is truly so talented. The bright yet realistic colors and lighting are a huge part of what made me so happy reading this book. It was very refreshing.
Lastly, the message. I feel like there aren't enough books out there that encourage kids to do chores and help their parents/guardians around the house. And, this book made chores seem so fun and wholesome, which is perfect for kids to learn. The author really emphasizes that doing chores around the house is a way to bring your family closer together and show love for the place you live in.
Also, this was so naturally diverse, it was so uplifting. There is a page with two moms and a kid, and there is a line that made me smile: "And the way different families will manage them all [chores], well, that's for each to choose." The back synopsis even sums this up, mentioning that there is a wide range of types of families in the whole book.
In less words, I loved this book. It filled me with joy, and I think it will do the same for kids, or just anyone else!
I can honestly say, this book touched me so much. As a busy, working mom and military spouse, things just seem so hard sometimes. I always like to remind my kids to find the little things in each day, that we are a team and to celebrate wins, big or small. This book perfectly summed that feeling up and made it easy for kids to understand. I just really really loved this one!
