Another pleasant read from this writer. I had great fun reading the different plights from the characters as they journeyed through this romantic comedy. No matter how Darden tried to pretend that he wasn’t enjoying himself, he was. He was thoroughly over the moon with Marianna there as well. The characters helped the book move swiftly. As I said they provided exceptional entertainment. The romance was sweet. I will admit though during the second half the book the story lost its petered out. The story tried to regroup the structure that it had from the beginning of the book. Until next time my fellow readers. Read on!

This is Book 6 in the delightful, A Very Fine Muddle series. I have enjoyed all the books so far and this one also did not disappoint. While his five sisters have been busy making their debuts and finding husbands, Charles has been happily enjoying his life of freedom. Now that they are all settled, his time has come to find a bride and settle down, and his sisters will make sure of it one way or another. Lady Marianna is the daughter of a duke and is expected to marry someone equal of her station. She only has but two prospects that fit that criteria, but neither are very appealing. When she meets Charles, she is taken with him and sparks fly between them, but he doesn't fit the criteria that her father set forth. Charles, in turn, wishes to remain a bachelor, but he feels a fake attachment to Marianna would be safe, since she is to only marry a duke. The ruse will keep his sisters happy, and he can remain a bachelor. But as they spend more time together, they grow more attached and fond of each other and it becomes harder to separate the fake from the real.
This was another delightful story filled with family shenanigans and fun. The characters were well-developed and endearing and I very much enjoyed following their story. A wonderful addition to the series!

This is a wonderful story. I love the history that the author has lovingly preserved in the pages. The characters that the author creates are loveable and highly entertaining. The plot is amusing and full of surprises. I love the hijinks that this amazing family find themselves a part of. I am distraught to be at the end of such a series but that is what rereads are for my friends. This is a marvelous world that lightens the soul and entertains the mind and heart. Enjoy!

I hate to see this series end. The Bennington family are hilarious. The five sisters are all married now, but their brother, Viscount Darden, refuses to be guided to the church. A simple solution presents itself when he decides to approach Lady Marianna Tisdale with a ruse. Since her father expects her to marry a duke, Darden is safe. It's a pretend ruse to hang about Marianna and keep his sisters' interference to a minimum. Only the more time they spend together, the more they fall in love. Unfortunately, Darden has a tendency to muck it up. Ahhh! Don't forget the unforgettable Miss Mayton.
A clean romance with the most eccentric family.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book from NetGalley.

Totally loved it! I have read the full, fun series that had me laughing out loud many times and totally enjoying myself. All the lose ends tied up in a nice tidy bow including Miss Mayton's long lost husband! and the Earl's former "girlfriend" who was introduced a few books ago. A wonderful series that I thoroughly enjoyed. Such a lovely family, all very accepting of each others bad "talents" and loving them anyway!

I received an ARC from NetGalley with thanks and submit my honest review herewith.

I have loved this entire series! Charles Bennington has no desire to get married. His five sisters are all married, in love with their husbands, and want the same for their brother.
Lady Marianna Tisdale's father, the Duke of Kembleton wants Marianna to marry a Duke, so he has invited two "young" Marquesses to meet Marianna.
I love the five sisters, and their various husbands and the way they show their love for their wives.
We cannot forget the rest of the Household - Miss Mayton, their much put upon Butler, and the various animals that have put in an appearance. This time with Charles and Marianna, we meet the laziest dog who still manages to provide laughter to the story.
Personally, I think it would be so much fun to be a part of this family.

I haven't even read the first five books yet and I still loved Darden and Marianna's story. What a hilarious family. The aunt. The fainting butler. The dog!! This book has so much personality. It's obvious Kate Archer enjoys writing. Thank you for that pick-me-up,it was very appreciated!!!
Thank you to netgalley for the ARC. Opinions are my own.

Sad that this is the final book in the Bennington series. I feel they are like family! I so enjoyed reading each of Darden's sisters' stories and enjoyed his story just as much. I definitely recommend this title, as well as all the others in the series.
Thank you Kate Archer, Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.

If you thought the Bennington family shenanigans couldn't get any wilder, buckle up for "The Final Muddle" - this train went gloriously off the rails one last time!

Convince me, Viscount by Kate Archer, brings the end of the series and is worth a read.

At the center of the madness is Charles Bennington IV, aka Viscount Darden, that lovable rogue who founded the "mayhem and tomfoolery" club for misbehaving gents. With his sisters all wifed up, the poor bloke finds himself in their relentless matchmaking crosshairs. His escalating paranoia over their zany schemes to marry him off was comedy gold.

Enter Lady Marianna, an intelligent beauty whose crusty duke dad has narrowed her options down to two elite bachelor partis. When she meets the commitment-phobic Darden, those two opposing forces create the most deliciously sparky tension. Their back-and-forth banter is just chef's kiss - like a Regency roast battle you can't stop watching.

But here's the real magic - while playing up the zany Bennington family energy we all know and love, the author never loses sight of making the leads feel like fully-fleshed humans under all that madcap chaos. Darden's devil-may-care facade hides some surprising vulnerability, and Marianna's struggle between duty and desire carries real heart.

The whole shebang rolls along at a delightfully zippy pace, making great use of the ensemble cast. You best believe Miss Eloise "Perpetual Schemer" Mayton gets in on the action, too! Although I won't lie, keeping track of all the subplots did make my head spin a few times amidst the glorious pandemonium.

But any little quibbles get steamrolled by the sheer fun factor. The editing's tight, the family dynamics spark constant laughs, and the romantic threads have you furiously fanning yourself. It's a blissfully bonkers romantic romp that sticks the landing as a series finale.

Sure, part of me will miss the Bennington lunacy. But what a wildly entertaining way to sign off! Consider me gleefully muddle-d one last time - I'd highly recommend this frolicking frolic for any historical rom-com fans in need of some light-hearted escape.

Thank you NetGallery for the ARC.

In this 6th installment of A Very Fine Muddle Regency romance series, the final Bennington sibling, Charles Bennington, Viscount Darden, is determined to retain his bachelorhood and continue his carefree life. When his five married sisters descend upon London for The Season, along with their husbands, Darden devises a way to wriggle out of their plans to force him into holy matrimony. He convinces his sisters that he has fallen for the unattainable daughter of a duke, then discovers he feels an unfortunate attraction to her. What a muddle! Although Regency fans who have not read the previous books in the series may have to do a bit of catching up, the comedic antics of the Bennington family are sure to entertain. Thank you, NetGalley, for the advance readers copy.

I'm sad that this is the last book in this hilarious historical romance series. It's a wonderfully caotic climax to a series that has brought me so many giggles. The Bennington siblings have each had their own story, but I guarantee that you will enjoy them better if you read them in order.
Our hero is the only son, and a better more even tempered brother would be impossible for our girls to have had. Now he must face their attentions being turned on him.
Our heroine is a dutiful daughter in the loving household of a Duke. That carries with it certain expectations.
You really need to read this series. Especially if you need cheering up.
I loved it.

Convince Me, Viscount (A Very Fine Muddle, #6) by Kate Archer
US pub date - 4/9/24

When a man has five sisters to see married, he relaxes because the sharp gaze is not yet upon him. However, once all five sisters are married and they, their husbands, and the man’s father all conspire to see him married. The future Viscount, Darden, who has no actual desire to get married, takes matters into his own hands after seeing the lovely Lady Marianna - a young woman whose father wishes her to marry a Duke. Not a future Viscount.

I found this a very cute and fun read. Despite having a few more books to read of this series, I didn’t feel lost when reading this even without knowing everything that came in the stories before.

Charles Bennington IV, Viscount Darden has been set upon by his sisters and his aunt much to his dismay.
Lady Marianne has been taught her whole life that a duke she will marry only problem is the two Dukes left are still young bucks not quite men.
This couple has decided they will work together to make a fine muddle of other peoples plans.
Theres only one problem when will the muddle turn back on them.
I have loved these books! I am so very sad to see this series end. But I absolutely adored the ending!! Everyone gets what they need and I must say I was truly surprised of who gets what!!

I loved both this story and the entire series. This author writes with such humor, creativity and joy that the reader is just filled with happiness. Charles is the last of his family to have a story and it's just plain funny from beginning to end. I couldn't put it down until I reached the last page. His sisters are determined to see him married and their attempts and antics will have you laughing out loud. Poor Marianna has been told she must marry of Duke not a viscount! Well paced, great characters, fabulous wrap up of the entire series. Not one to miss.

Charles Bennington IV, Viscount Darden, only son of the Earl of Westmont, is the happy-go-lucky founder of the Young Bucks Club. His club’s motto is shenanigans, mayhem, and tomfoolery, and that’s exactly what he’s been doing as his five sisters made their debuts in Town. Now all of his five sisters are now married & knows they have come up with plans and schemes to marry him off, but he doesn’t know what they are. Since Miss Mayton is involved, he can assure himself that they are ghastly. Lady Marianna Tisdale, eldest daughter of the Duke of Kembleton, has never held the usual views of a first London season.
She has a job to do, she is to get herself married. As her father is determined she does not marry below her rank, her choice of gentlemen will be precisely two. The Marquess of Mayfield and the Marquess of Wellerston, both destined to become dukes in the fullness of time. When Darden and Lady Marianna meet, sparks fly. Unfortunately, Darden is determined to stay a bachelor and Lady Marianna hopes to honour her father’s wishes.
The sixth book & the final Bennington sibling meets his match. Another very fine muddle it is, the banter is witty & this was my favourite of the series. Ideal for lifting your mood, it’s light hearted & fun, I’ve thought some of the earlier books were over the top but this book hit the right notes. Strong characters & a well paced held my interest from cover to cover
My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Darden is a bachelor, and quite happy being one, until he gets notice that his family is coming to town for the season. It's clear to him that they all have a plan to help him find his own romance story. While Lady Mayton has secretly arranged this whole thing to outrun her past..
To keep his family off of his case, Darden hatches a plan to court Lady Marianna (who has led everyone to believe she would only marry a Duke, which Darden is not), and be rejected. This way his family would feel bad for him, and leave him alone about getting married. But once they start talking that plan gets more sticky..
The story isn't just about Darden and finding love, but also fills you in on what is happening with the rest of his family outside of that story.
While I won't say it's my favorite romance novel about the Ton, I did enjoy it overall. It felt like the ending was rushed, but did add a fun twist for Miss Mayton. Enjoyable book, but would recommend other similar books to a friend become this one.

A very fine muddle indeed, as this novel takes the reader on a hilarious romp into the ballrooms of Regency London. Guilted into doing what her father wants, Lady Marianna attends the Season with the objective of finding a marriageable Duke. Her enterprising father has put it about that she will not marry anyone else which rather limits her options. With his sisters and Miss Mayton attempting to arrange his future, Viscount Darden makes it known that he wants no one other than Lady Marianna as his bride, and in a bid for total honesty, he makes her aware of his decision. That sets the cat, or is it the dog, among the pigeons and chaos reigns, much to the amusement of the Duchess of of Kembleton, Marianna's mother. As always, when the Bennington sisters, Miss Mayton, and their beleaguered butler are involved, the situation devolves into utter mayhem, bringing this comedy of errors to a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this romance through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I have enjoyed this families antics in each of the books in this series. There were times that I got a little confused while reading, Convince Me Viscount. The humor more than made up for it though. I was sad to see that the series was coming to an end.

Another fun addition to the A Very Fine Muddle series - the final hurrah! I loved this - despite all the girls being married off now, poor unsuspecting Lord Darden, chief of the Young Bucks Club (will Conbatten finally get an invite?!) is now under the spotlight. He decides to undertake a Ruse and pursue Lady Marianna who's father is a duke and would like her to be a duchess. Darden thinks this is safe as he's only a future Earl so will have a fruitless time of it in pursuit, and this will get his sisters and the ever romantic Miss Mayton off his back.

He is incorrect on many counts.

Miss Mayton also has an entertaining subplot with blasts from the past, skeletons in the closet...

Lovely end to this series. Looking forward to the next bundle of mishaps and kookiness!

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

What an ending to this series!

I love the wit and banter Ms Archer puts into all her books with the different characters and entertainment that will keep you glued to each and every page.

This is Darden and Marianna’s love affair which with the help of all the family members ensures that there will be chaos, fun, laughter, lots of witty moments with a new addition to the family, romance and a love of a lifetime.

A wonderful end to a wonderful series with some witty twists and turns along the way and a big surprise that you won’t see coming!
