Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC of this book. This book has history, romance, and discusses the importance of mental health. This book follows The Brooding Baron Henry Northcott as he tries not to fall in love with his best friends sister. The book was sweet and romatic, and touches on things with deeper meaning. If you are a fan of clean historical romance novels, than you must read this book.

I enjoyed this story by Jentry Flint. After reading the first book I was excited for Arabella and Henry’s story. That they are together made it even better. I must admit though that I mostly enjoyed the lighter parts of this book. The author delves into some very heavy dark historical times surrounding mental illness during this time. As a history major I really do appreciate the work gone in to researching and learning about the life experiences for those deemed “mad”, Despite that it was a little hard for me to stomach. That’s just me though. I prefer the happy light side of books when I read for enjoyment.
The romance in this book was beautiful. I just love Arabella and her bold personality. And it was fun to watch Henry come out of his shell as he and Arabella become closer.
Overall I would recommend this read and I look forward to more books in this series. Thank you to NetGalley and Shadow Mountain Publishing for a ARC in exchange for my review!

A wonderful romance! I liked how Arabella and Henry were friends first and then they fell in love. The Shakespeare Game was witty and the hilarious shenanigans they got themselves into had me laughing. Watching all his past hurt and judgement be ignored by her showed that when you love someone, you love all of them. Her support for him was a great example of that love. I was cheering for them at the end, even though the ending gave me a mini heart attack! Thank you Jentry Flint for another amazing story!

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book

Another historical romance that I loved and it’s my second novel by Jentry Flint. She wrote a fun, engaging romance with honorable men, long glances and a bit of mystery. I sunk down in my favorite spot and devoured this in one day. I loved Arrabella and Henry. Their interacting were precious and I couldn’t look away from their special moments. If you love a clean historical romance then I highly recommend this one.
Thanks Shadow Mountain via NetGalley.

Opposites attract in this sweet, though mysterious story.

Arabella is carefree, mischievous and witty, and can recite a line of Shakespeare for any situation and her heart wants to help those she cares for. Her brother's friends watch out for her while he's away, Bradbury, an outgoing gambler, the other is Lord Northcott a solemn, brooding man. The cast of characters is diverse in personalities, which makes it really interesting to get to know them. Though Northcott is quiet, he's falling for Arabella's beauty and charm. However, there's a secret about his family, which evolves into the question, who determines insanity? The mystery of his secret unfolds, as he opens up to her, but missteps along the way will cause an unanticipated response, followed by danger.

Though their personalities seem like oil and water, their relationship grows out of friendship and trust. Mysterious, almost haunting feel to this story with some great quips.

*Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC and for the opportunity to post an honest review.

I tried, I really did. I just didn’t like this. I had an equally hard time with the first book, so it’s time to break up.

What a cute love story?!

This book is about Arabella falling in love with a troubled Baron named Henry. Filled with agony and trouble but managed to pull cute-longing-biting nail love story.

Their dynamics are unmatched, seriously. From the beginning we can see the longing on Henry's side that will make you bite your nails and swoon. The author can depict the conflicted thoughts inside the brooding baron perfectly that managed to made me bite my nails ("greget" in my language). Also the synopsis aren't lying, Arabella is very much drawn to Henry and she acts on whatever her hearts believe. When the author said "free spirited" she very well meant free spirited (iykyk)😉 until there came a point where I'm exasperated because my personality is opposite Arabella's but I understand it suited her well at the extend of what she's willing to do to get what she wants😂

I do love how this story feels fast-paced but I don't feel rushed in a surprisingly light read book. You will feel addicted as to: what lies the Northcott family have; what will happen next; what will this character do. Overall, I had a happy experience reading this novel. Also, this book has a twist and I feel like you can successfully predict the twist but it's still twisty enough. You should read this novel if you love a romance in a regency era with a tinge of mystery and lots of swoon!!!!

P.S. I obtained this book by requesting the ARC from Shadow Mountain Publishing on NetGalley
P.S.S I have to warn you this book has an abuse and violence scene towards the end of the book but I assure you it ends beautifully

This is an interesting book. It takes you on a tale of corruption and medical practices that makes your heart hurt. It is handled with care, but is still painful.

Henry has had a trauma filled life. His father and mother are dead, his sister considered insane, and he lives with his Aunt, even though his mother killed his Uncle. This could be a modern day family! Henry has been stoic for all these years as rumors still fly around him.

Arabella is vivacious, impatient, and looking for love. But she is not looking for it with one of her brothers best friends. Her heart is big, her pranks are big, and she is so full of life.

Can these two make a go? Can the past be put behind them, even as it keeps creeping up?

I enjoyed this story. The characters were good, the supporting characters too. I can wait to read Bradburys's story!

This was such a great read, I couldn't put it down!
I loved Arabella and her vibrant personality and her friendship with Henry! Also I'm a sucker for dual POVs and these were both so good. I was also pleasantly surprised by the deeper topics discussed in the book, and I didn't see the twist coming! All in all another fantastic read from Jentry Flint - I laughed and I swooned, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

When secrets have control but what if they’re lies
This book will keep you pleasantly engaged wondering how all the pieces fit together as you discover more about each character. Henry Northcott, thirteenth Baron Northcott, inherited the title from his uncle when he was fifteen and was subsequently raised by his aunt. Now as a man, his aunt still controlled his life with constant reminders to keep the family secrets to preserve the family name. His mother had died in an institution for the mentally ill and his sister still resided in one. No one was to know about either woman. Henry was to have no contact with his sister, to protect the family. And to protect himself, he would never marry, not allow his tainted blood to be passed on. But what happens when Arabella, a friend’s sister he is watching over, refuses to believe the secrets and begins taking matters into her own hands? Will the secrets remain hidden? Will the supporter of the secrets be allowed to continue? A very engaging read you are sure to enjoy. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy. This is my review and all thoughts are my own.
