I liked this second Biotech billionaires book even more than the first I think! It follows Sloan's older brother, Henry, newly made CEO of the family company and in need of an image makeover. Sloan secretly hires, Selena, a PR consultant to help which leads to a forced proximity workplace romance set in NYC with all the forbidden tension one could want. Two strong BIPOC leads, lots of SPICE and family drama and great on audio. This was perfect for fans of authors like Ana Huang or Lauren Asher. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital and audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

This was another charming read from Ava. I liked this one even more than the first book. The main characters, Selena and Henry, are brought together when Selena is hired to manage Henry's public image, which is a hot hot mess. I enjoyed seeing the characters from the first book in this book, and hope to see both couples in the third book.
While the ending felt rushed, but the epilogues made up for it. If you are looking for a fun read with some steam and billionaires, try this. The spice was not too much, along with having good pacing, not too slow or too fast, which kept me engaged.

The Heir is the second book in the Biotech Billionaires series and follows our tow main characters, Henry, the newly appointed CEO to his family's company, and Selena, the PR Manager hired to clean his image of his past transgressions. I enjoyed watching the two grow closer as they attended various events, galas, meetings, etc. From the minimal scenes we got of Henry in the previous book, The Spare, it was nice to see the true side of him. Selena's past was also super interesting to follow along as a working class woman thrust into the world of New York's elite.
Overall, I enjoyed the novel, though I wish that there was a little bit more liveliness to the plot and writing style. This series is more on the somber side of romance, so readers who are more into serious romances will definitely enjoy this book.
