These books are so funny. My early elementary boys love the silly wolf, his underpants, and all the things that go wrong.

I had a great time reading this book. The holidays are here and the Wolf gets a peculiar gift. They go to bed that night and things get weird from there. The toy comes to life and takes them on a wild adventure. Along the way they must face a few scary things and by the end learn a lesson or two. Fans of the previous Wolf in Underpants books will want to check this one out.

The Wolf in Underpants and the Hazelnut-Cracker is a fun comic book that my kids loved. It's funny and silly with great illustrations. It also has a great message about being true to yourself.

This is a very silly series of graphic novels about a wolf that wears underpants. And is of course, anthropomorphic, just as all the other characters in the story are. In this case, it is a slight parody of the Nutcracker.

In this story, the wolf is given a nutcracker, and dreams, that night, that it has come to life, and he must help free the mice that are being forced to work for for bad guys who are also exploiting hazelnut trees.

When the wolf wakes up, he thinks it is all a dream, except he sees the mice, who are now free.

This is a cute book. I’m sure kids will enjoy the silliness of a wolf wearing underpants, and of helping mice.

This book is available on the 10th of September. Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.

I normally love the wolf in underpants graphic novels. They are a fun short graphic novel for early chapter readers. However, as I believe these books are translated. I think this addition should go through a sensitivity read in the US. Based on the title, I knew this was going to have a holiday theme, and I thought it would follow the nutcracker which it kind of does. But it’s about fighting the “man”. You have some characters who are held prisoner and Wolf helps them escape. This is all great however, at one point in time these now free individuals are called pale people and of course a wolf is brown. I see nothing wrong with this, however in the US some parents will infer a racial divide or reverse racism. It puts a target on the book for book banners. Overall, I like this story. I think it’s a fun read and I think kids will like it as long as certain parents don’t get a hold of it.

This is a great series and I'm glad Lupano wrote more than just one. They're funny and the illustrations are adorable and perfect. I'll definitely be adding this to the other ones I've bought for the library.

The idea is adorable but the execution of this book is in shambles. The pages were incredibly cramped. The story is lost between so much happening on the page, the complexity of the text, and just the story itself is a lot. It was hard to follow and the illustrations were way too complex for the style of story that was being presented.

This book was goofy, as expected by the cover and title. It didn't make a lot of sense It's not my cup of tea, but I'm not the target audience. I plan to buy this book for the graphic novel section of my elementary library.

Wolf is such a fun character for a children's book! The illustrations are colorful and cozy, perfect for a Christmas tale. The story may be a little confusing for younger readers, but for 1-3rd grade it's perfect.

"The Wold in Underpants and the Hazelnut-Cracker" is will definitely make the children laugh, and some adults too! I rated this story 3.5 stars round to four because it was a little zig-zaggy in story-telling.

Wolf needs to buy hazelnuts for an upcoming celebration, after a hard day of shopping he falls asleep. It is within his dream that readers traverse on a goofy good vs. evil. storyline that takes place in a eeeeerie forest.

I would recommend this to 3-5th graders who enjoy a humorous tale, enjoy a good battle, and roots for the good team!

I really love these books! They are somewhat silly and so much fun to read. It's always interesting to see what Wolf is up to - did he dream it all or did it all really happen? Exactly what kind of nutcracker was he gifted? As always his adventure helps to solve a mystery and helps the other residents of the forest. Grumpy Grandpa Pickpecker was fun to meet and turned out to maybe not be such a bad guy after all. And of course, that pesky little squirrel continues to be up to no good! The illustrations are great. There are some pages that may be difficult for younger readers to follow because there are no dialogue bubbles and they will need help in figuring out what order to read everything.

I received an electronic ARC from Lerner Publishing Group through NetGalley.
Lupano brings the Wolf back for a sixth book. This one has a Christmas theme. Wolf heads to the market area to purchase supplies for gifts and is given a gift from Owl. This nutcracker plays into Wolf's dreams and ventures with him on a quest to rescue those in the Forbidden Forest. Together, they succeed in defeating the rulers and freeing the animals. I appreciate the push for working together and helping each other. Wolf encourages others to support each other and help everyone grow. I like the ending interactions that offer hints that Wolf's adventure may not have been a dream. The artwork is highly detailed and worth studying over and over. The breadth of actions happening that weave with the main story offer readers a chance to see life fully in this forest home.

Cute book for kids.
Sharing responsibility and coming together as a team to get things done.
Wolf helps the mice workers who are down on their luck how things can be different. Working as a team can be less tiring.

This is the sixth book in the Wolf in Underpants series. This one is a Christmas story about an owl and a forbidden forest.

This was a cute story! It had a lot of humor and it was fun to read. I loved the illustrations as well. It was cute to look at and full of color. I think kids will really enjoy this one, especially around Christmas time!
