We are a Sesame Street family and were so excited to read this new book about being a good sport. Using big bold pictures of children and Sesame Street characters we learn all about how we can be good sports. We learn what it means and how we can play together well with others. The text is simple and easy for all children to be able to understand and follow. We love how it shows that we should include everyone and treat everyone with kindness. I love the message that this book sends to children and to everyone. Your family will enjoy this book together. This would be perfect to read in a sports setting with children, especially those new to playing sports and competing. It also would be great in an early childhood classroom. Enjoy this story together.
This was exactly what it reports to be. It is a book on being a good sport. It shows this by definitions and by actions. So many parents are so focused on winning it all cost that they forget that sport is a chance to play. This book gets at that and says everybody has more fun when everybody is playing to play. Everybody has more fun when they use good sportsmanship and have a good game. This is a lesson some parents need but kids will understand.
I absolutely loved how there are photos of real people mixed in with photos of Muppets. This was such a cute book. And it's important for kids to learn how to be a good sport, especially if they don't see good behavior all the time. Very friendly tone with good advice. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this
Cute Sesame Street book that will help your little ones learn how to be a good sport! My toddler was entertained with the character pictures and enjoyed the stock photos too. No story line with this one but kids will probably just be happy to see their favorite characters.
This is a perfect game for families with kids entering sports or for teachers to read their students. The language is simple, they will recognize the characters, and the book is interactive, so there are natural stopping points for conversation.
This is perfect for young children who are or were fans of Sesame Street. I liked how it incorporated the characters and real children in real-life situations to show children what being a good sport actually looks like. The idea of being a good sport is so important, especially right now as there is more and more pressure put on children to always win and that winning is the most important thing about sports. I received this as an e-book but will definitely want to own a physical copy as well!
Good Game is a fun story about being a good sport, told by your favorite Sesame Street characters.
The book is engaging and fun. My toddler loved seeing his favorite Sesame Street characters playing sports. The narrative is appropriately aged and has a wonderful message of how to play fair, be kind, and show good sportsmanship.
This was a cute book to read with my Sesame Street loving four year old. I love the message the story has for young children. The importance to being a good sport and a good team player. It’s so important for children to learn about this topic at a young age! I highly recommend this book for young kids.
