What a cute book! I liked this story about a little sapling learning about its place in the woods and ecosystem.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. This is the book of a tiny sapling as it is encouraged to wake up and grow as big things lie ahead. Beautiful story!
The beautifully illustrations and gentle story in this book will spark wonder of nature in the eyes of any child! My heart was warmed by the sweet care from Mother Tree to Little Pin as well as the intricate network of help from the creatures and plants among the forest floor. The gorgeous illustrations were perfect as well!
I am always a sucker for a nature book.
This story is a beautiful telling of nature life and the infinity loop for how it is that all life within the forest works together in order to thrive.
Wake up, Little Pin! is a sweet story about a young tree that needs help from its surroundings to wake up from Winter. The illustrations are beautiful, and the story is informative about different parts of nature interacting with each other.
Perfect for children who love nature or science.
I received a DRC from Owlkids Books | Owlkids via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is a child-friendly look at the life cycle of a forest. Our baby tree has been slumbering in the shadow of the larger trees and this book explores what it will need to wake up and flourish. All the creatures of the forest have a part in the little tree's growth and the storyline is illustrated to show those interactions with child-friendly and engaging illustrations. This would be a great picture book addition to any library and for any child who shows a fondness for the natural world.

Wake Up, Little Pin!: The Story of a Sleepy Sapling (Hardcover)
by Loretta Garbutt
Showing the relationship of trees and the ecology of nature. The botany of the connection between flora and fauna. How each aspect helps improve the health of the environment? With each aspect helping the little tree wake and be alert to the spring. As a consequence kids will love the special treat.. I can see then all gross out. But it will be a great start the conversation of conservation.
'Wake up, Little Pin!' by Loretta Garbutt is a beautiful story of how the forest is a family and how a mother's love transcends species. The prose is nice and the illustrations lovely. The entire story is enchanting.
A charming look at all the various elements that go into helping a new tree start to grow, Wake up little pin includes detailed drawings in an understated style and a sweet, brief story about a mother tree and the creatures of the forest who help her encourage her baby tree to wake up and grow.
