Listen. This book was everything. Finn is swoony, sexy and a little bit broken - aka he's not looking for a relationship. And then Avery entered the chat - and Finn has it baaaaaad for her. Who doesn't love a HE FALLS FIRST moment?!
Avery, has body insecurities (much like my own), and is just getting through a breakup from a long-term relationship. And then she meets neighbour Finn who is all about praise and body positivity. This is honestly the BEST body positivity book I have ever read and I am SO dang happy that Kay was so kind to send this delinquent an arc!!!
This was my first book by Kay but it WILL NOT be my last!
Honestly - please drop everything and go and read this book. It is sweet, it is swoony, but hot dang, is it SPICY!!

I had to DNF this book at 45%.
I really went into this with high hopes and from what I’ve seen written about the book online in reviews I thought that I was going to love this. I’ve seen some great TikTok edits with quotes and I’ve actually had this book on my tbr for a couple of months.
However, it just fell flat for me.
I tried to push through but I didn’t feel like forcing myself to read more. If I’m not hooked by the halfway mark then I will not finish the book. The blurb and the concept was great but I wasn’t connected to the story at all. I felt it was too corny and cheesy (I swear I was so close to banging my head on the nearest wall the next time the mmc called the fmc “queen”).
Two emotionally stunted and hurt people embark on a very awkward “teach me how to be good at sex” journey after their bad breakups while trying to fool themselves into thinking that they are not going to catch feelings for each other.
I know a lot of people rated this 4 stars and above so I’ll say give it a go if you’re into the friends-with-benefits storyline.
*I’d like to thank NetGalley, Kay Cove and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op | Page&Vine for the opportunity to read this arc in exchange for an honest review.*

I’m very sorry that I couldn’t write a positive review about this book. I was very excited about the opportunity to read this arc. I’m very hopeful that in the future we can work together again. I’m very grateful for the chance you took on me by providing me this early reading copy.

So happy I found this book! I love the writing style and it drew me in quickly. The pace was great and I had a hard time putting this one down. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

"Camera Shy" is a sizzling romance about unexpected heartbreak and newfound confidence. When dumped on her thirtieth birthday, the protagonist finds solace in Las Vegas, where she strikes a deal with her hot neighbor. As she learns to love herself, sparks fly, but challenges lie ahead. This standalone novel promises a steamy journey from neighbors to lovers, culminating in a satisfying happily ever after.

I absolutely ate this book up! From the moment I started reading I knew that I was going to love it. Kay’s writing style is so easy to read and get invested in quickly. I absolutely adore Finn and he is officially one of my all time favorite book boyfriends. This book was so sweet, funny, and spicy and it literally had me blushing 24/7. This book is perfect for any girl who has ever felt uncomfortable in their body and wished they looked a different way. It will make you appreciate your own body and shows you your true worth. Every girl who has ever struggled with their image deserves a guy like Finn. There were so many great tropes in this book including neighbors, a curvy fmc, reformed playboy, bedroom lessons, protective mmc, and a touch of fake dating. I recently read mile high and I think if you loved that book you will love this one because there are many similar themes. Overall, I really loved this book and would definitely recommend if you are looking for a great (spicy) romance book to read!
Also let me just say that I absolutely HATED Finn’s dad, Mason, and Palmer. And it was crazy that there was a character named Lennox (who I absolutely loved) because that’s my sisters name and I’ve never read it in a book before!
