I have been enjoying the Sweet Briar Ridge series. Getting to know the Donovan's has been a lot of fun. This one's a little special though because even though it takes place in the same town it is not about a Donovan.
An audio exclusive - for now! This follows a mechanic, Devin, who works in the town and is friends with the family. He happens across a girl, MacKenzie whose car has broken down right outside of town. Coming to her rescue and helping her repair her classic car her dad gave her. But the town has a huge celebration going on at the time so rooms at places are booked up. Do you see where this is headed? Haha 👏 Having to shack up with her rescuer who even gives her a job to help her pay for the repairs at his shop. These two grow rather close.
I absolutely loved the personalities in this one. The storyline was so fun. And so obsessed with the small town vibes that just welcome people in. Love seeing the outsiders quickly fall in love with a town.
Once again Carly Robbins does the phenomenal job at portraying a both characters. As much as I love dual narrators she really has a knack at pulling this off.
If you love..
Strangers to roommates

Strangers to lovers
You will love this one too!

Enjoyable meet-cute small town romance. After MacKensie’s father dies, she sets off on a cross-country road trip to try to reconnect with her absentee mother. Early on, her vintage automobile breaks down in Sweerwater Ridge just as Devin, the very attractive owner of the town’s auto repair shop passes by. Devin saves the day by offering her housing, a job, and a place to belong.in his charming small town.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Let me just say I'm a big believer in small-town romance
Especially when one or both of them don't actually live, come from, or been back in said small-town for a while
The premise of this book is cute yet fun at the same time
This guy Devin Maxwell is also too kind for his own good which is amazing but I've always been drawn to more of the grumpy rugged type more than anything but for this story, Devin's characteristic and traits actually matched the story perfectly
MacKenzie is so wholesome yet lost at the same time which makes her the perfect FMC to find herself lost in the middle-of-nowhere town while on a soul-searching trip
Is the story special or one-of-a-kind in any way? Not exactly
But it's certainly enjoyable to listen to
I'm giving it a 4 stars
Thank you to Netgalley, Samantha Chase and Dreamscape Media for providing me with this audiobook in exchange for an honest review

I'll preface by saying, I haven't read the other books in this series.
This was a Hallmark type classic plot.
Girl's car breaks down and she and the mechanic end up falling in love.
This was a sweet, charming romance.
Small town feels.
Devin was a kind, hardworking man
McKenzie was a sweet, independent woman.
Together they are really freaking precious.
Narration on this was great.

I loved the small town setting and found family themes in this book. Mackenzie finds herself stranded with a broken down vehicle and is rescued by Devin. Although she is quite prickly with him to start with, the small town magic soon works its charm and MacKenzie realizes that he is the one for her. The narration is excellent and very relaxing to listen to.

I love this small town of Sweet Briar Ridge.
Devin is the local mechanic, he owns the shop, he works hard and is kind, generous and honest.
So when he’s on his way home at spots Mackenzie broken down, of course he’s going to stop.
This was a sweet romance, full of forced proximity, comfort, chemistry, and meddling small town residents.
It was fun, but full of stress.
Devin is gone for MacKenzie, but she’s got a lot to work through.
Carly Robbins does an amazing job narrating this audiobook and bringing all the residents of Sweet Briar Ridge to life.

I listened to the audio of Finding You. I generally don’t like books written (in this case read) in third person because I prefer dual POV. I think that the narrator, Carly Robins, did a good job. And I did enjoy Devin and MacKenzie’s story. Devin was an all around great MMC, and multiple times he was very swoon worthy. For the most part, I also liked MacKenzie, there was a few times she was a little annoying. It started to get repetitive about how her journey was meant to continue and she had to leave though. But all in all, it was a pretty sweet, clean romance with low angst

Sweetbriar Ridge is small town romance goodness, and Devin and MacKenzie’s story is another warm and fuzzy addition. They were the perfect compliment to each other without too much drama. The supporting cast of characters, the nosey, well-meaning town folk, are hilarious and tug at your heartstrings immediately. Thoroughly enjoyed.

This book is part of The Donovans Series (Sweetbriar Ridge), a Small Town Romance. This is a great addition to the series. MacKenzie/Mac and Devin/Dev's story is sweet, cute, engaging, and heartwarming. They are perfect together. The supporting characters are great. I liked the friendship, and the small town vibes in the story. This is a beautiful story. Carly Robins did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. I highly recommend this sweet small town romance series.

A great visit from our favorite characters from Sweetbriar Ridge! I love the special audiobook release of the latest installment from The Donovans. Devin and MacKensie aren’t related to the Donovan clan, but they make special appearances.
I enjoyed listening to this narrator and the story was so real! She brought life to all of the characters! Samantha Chase is my go-to author guaranteed to leave you with a full heart and a smile on your face!

5 stars is not enough! Found family/home, blue-collar MMC, FMC that is so adorably lost in the world. Instant love but a slow burn, fade to black but so well done the passion was still there and very connected between the two the audio is amazing I love this narrator!!!

I love when I lose myself in an audiobook. I forgot what I was doing and just sat and listened to Devin and MacKenzie’s story. For me, that means the narrator had the perfect tone and cadence to bring the characters to life and tell their story. Carly Robins, narrator, did just that. I could feel the attraction between MacKenzie and Devin from their first meeting on the side of the road.
Samantha Chase is an author that I love to read. Her small town romances are always must-reads (or listens) for me. Finding You is exactly what I expected. The romance is sweet and steamy, the characters are likable and realistic, and the story ends in a HEA.

I always love a good Samantha Chase audio. I’ve been loving this series too. It just keeps getting better and better each book. The narrators for this one were yet again perfect for the story. I just love getting drawn in.

Finding You is a romance novel with a beginning, a middle, and a happily-ever-after ending. The sentences are well-constructed. If these are your criteria, you're all set. If you want a relatable story with a plot that rings true and character choices that make sense to you, perhaps look elsewhere. Right off the bat, the author tells us that MacKenzie has left Syracuse, New York with the intent to reach her mother in Oregon. Even if your only map is a child-like drawing of the U.S., you can see that rural Virginia is not on that route. Yet that's where the story begins. MacKenzie is driving her dead father's beloved classic Mustang, which she promised to treasure, but she has had no regular maintenance done, so SURPRISE, the car breaks down. She's on the road because crappy, traitorous boyfriend Kevin was screwing another woman on her dear nana's table, but she's left the table behind and has NO FRIENDS AT ALL to reach out to, even though she's a person who has always given herself to everyone. Plus, she has no phone charger. If you've ever had any contact with anyone under 35, you know they ALWAYS have a charger. But of course, the first person to come along after her car breaks down, is the BEST mechanic in the entire region, whose name just happens to be Devin (prior boyfriend was Kevin; this one is Devin. REALLY?????!) Sweetbriar Ridge turns out to be the nicest small town in the world, where yes, everyone gossips, but everyone is welcoming and kind. Devin, who looks like a god and has the selfless personality to match, has no girlfriend and seems to have been waiting for MacKenzie to come along. I couldn't help wondering what would happen to the young woman from that OTHER contemporary romance so many of us have read, who returns reluctantly to her hometown to help out parents/grandparents/whomever, and meets up with her high school sweetheart she thought she'd never see again. Poor Devin will have to choose! I listened to Finding You in audio, and it was the first time I ever turned the speed up to 2.5 as I was so eager to just reach the end.

Spoiler Alert ahead>>
Mixed feelings about her but I love the plot and the flow out of it!! Mack just irritated me at the very beginning with her first interaction with Devin and when he told her about the repairs and she assumed the worst without him finishing his sentence. However, I did love that she slipped seamlessly into his life/town and that they came to love her just as much as she did; without the stereotypical jealous woman in the background trying to break them up!

Devin is on his way home from a much needed mini vacation when he runs into MacKenzie stranded on the road. Their first introduction was hilarious but you could feel the tension between them. He agrees to take her car to his shop and work on it as soon as possible. She has nowhere to stay because there is a festival going on so no rooms are available and he offers her the guest room at his house.
I loved how she fit into his life and his business. Not only did she make his house feel like a home, but she got his shop organized and running like a well-oiled machine. The only problem is that she is leaving as soon as her car is fixed. He wants her to stay, but doesn’t want to have her resent him later on. She wants to stay but feels like she has interfered too much already. This is my one issue with this book: no communication.
As time gets closer to her leaving they both do something to prolong her staying (without the other knowing). Whether she sticks to her plan, he lets her walk away, or he does a grand gesture remains to be seen. The chemistry between them is great and their relationship, while fast in some ways, seems slow in others.
I normally like dual narration better, but Ms. Robins did a fantastic job of bringing both characters to life. She put emotion and heart into each word. I would definitely listen to another book narrated by her. I received an ALC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

Finding You is a sweet small town romance.
Mackenzie and Devin’s story was a fast paced, light read. Both characters had really good personalities and their story was entertaining. I love the meddling small town of Sweet Briar.
Carly Robins did a really nice job narrating this book.

After being betrayed by her boyfriend there is nothing holding MacKenzie in town, so she decides to pack up her life and head west to visit her estranged mother. Car trouble has her stranded on the side of the road near Sweetbriar Ridge where Devin not only comes to her rescue but gives her a job and a place to stay until her vehicle is fixed and she can be on her way.
Devin owns the auto shop in Sweetbriar Ridge so it is only natural when he sees a stranded motorist that he would come to their aid, and he is attracted to the woman and the car. With parts needing to be ordered and a festival coming up it leaves MacKenzie with no place to stay or a way to pay for her car repairs, so he offers a solution to both problems however the more time they spend together the less he wants her to leave.
MacKenzie is at a crossroads in her life, but she never expected to find a place to call home she seamlessly fits into Devin’s life, quickly makes friends with the other townspeople and the relationship they shared will warm your heart. I enjoyed the performance of the narrator as she performed both characters well and will have you invested in the characters and their story.

I am a huge audiobook lover and don’t usually prefer solo narration but Finding You by Samantha Chase, narrated by Carly Robins changed my opinion.
Devin and MacKenzie’s story was so well written, beautiful and sweet, and Carly Robins did a phenomenal job narrating. She made me love the characters and their journey even more!
Devin was on his way home from hard earned weekend getaway when he sees MacKenzie, who's on her way across the country after leaving a cheating ex, broken down. Of course, being the man he is and the only mechanic in his small town, he stops to help.
They share an instant mutual connection, and very soon, a week to fix her car just isn't enough time with the woman who makes him want more. They embark on a back and forth game of "sabotaging" her car repairs to keep her in town longer that is hilarious! Their banter and playfulness was so cute. If only they both would have admitted what they were thinking and feeling sooner..
A side of the highway meet cute leads to happily ever after...sign me up! The way he recreated their meet cute at the end was EPIC! I loved it!
If you love audiobooks as much as me, this is a must listen! 10/10 recommend.

This was very cute and fluffy, I wish the storyline with the mother had been a bit more fleshed out and to be honest these stories could use a bit.more spice, overall a good time
