Good thriller! I couldn’t figure it out but kept me on my toes! Definitely recommend for my other thriller lovers! Get to readinf

Psychological thriller, twists layered on twists layers on twists. Everyone has secrets. Heart pounding until the end!

Thank you so much for this arc. I rated this book 3 stars, I enjoyed the twists and turns but in the end I found there was a little too many? I found it kept me engaged but not enough for me to fully process everything that was occurring to the fmc. Overall this book is probably greta for some readers because it does keep you engaged!

I really enjoyed this book, it had lots of twists & turns that kept me intrigued the whole time! I'd definitely recommend!!!

A twisty quick read told from dual POVs. This was a really fun thriller that gave me Freida McFadden vibes. it was very easy to read and hard to put down. the twists were good and the plot was entertaining and suspenseful.

this is a fast read and fairly engaging. has enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. this is a story of a young girl getting linked to a gruesome murder and how she finds out the truth and more in the process. a story with a few second chances and a told you so ending in a way.

If you love a book that starts slow, hits the twists half way through, and then all the twists at the end, this book is for you!!
I loved it but can see how for some readers the end may be too much, too chaotic. But hey I love some suspense and things I didn't see coming.
Kendall literally had her life turned upside down at the beginning of this book. I mean professional life, home life, romantic life; gone. What? Anyway desperate times call for desperate measures right? and bad plans, that fail.
Literally everyone in this book has a secret. Everyone. I mean their hair's volume must be out of control (-Gretchen Wieners, if you haven't seen Mean Girls please stop reading and watch it.).
Anyway if you love shock and wtf and omg and then oh okay, got it; read this book.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read and review.

I usually avoid books with "An absolutely gripping psychological thriller" as the sub-title, but I was drawn to Her Pretty Lies. Kendall is a psychology student, and the absolute worst thing in the world happens to her, followed by an even worse thing, and a worse thing...you get the idea. Tons of plot here, tons of twists. The book is a campy delight.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher!
Kendall can’t catch a break. Everything that can go wrong, does go wrong to her in this book. It’s obvious our girl should be suspicious of everyone, but strangely she’s suspicious of no one. There’s lots of twists and turns in this book-maybe even too many as at some point it all becomes a tad unbelievable.

Her Pretty Lies by Angela Henry is a gripping psychological thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The story follows a young psychology student whose life unravels after the mysterious death of a woman she was close to. As the protagonist is thrust into a nightmare, she must confront her own guilt and uncover the truth, all while being accused of a crime she may not have committed. The novel expertly blends suspense, psychological tension, and a twisty narrative, making it an engaging and thought-provoking read for fans of dark mysteries.

Her Pretty Lies is a psychological story between the lives of Mac and Kendall. There were so many twists and turns and some of them were truly shocking. There were secrets everywhere it was such an insane read. The plot twists was a bit to much and i got confused at times. It was a wild ride and i recommend it to those who enjoy to be kept at the edge of their seats.

The paramedics tell me I’m in shock as they load the body bag into the ambulance.
Only days ago, I had everything. A man I wanted to marry. A prestigious fellowship for graduate school. A perfect new apartment. I’m a psychology student. I should have known she was hiding something from the start…
Now I’m shivering under a foil blanket wondering how my life became a nightmare.
And when the paramedics check me over, it’s not concern I see on their faces. It’s fear.
They think I did this. They think I killed her…
An edge-of-your-seat, gripping and unputdownable psychological thriller for fans of Freida McFadden and Jeneva Rose’s The Perfect Marriage.

Her Pretty Lies is a decent enough thriller by Angela Henry. I received this book from Storm Publishing via Netgalley, and it came out a while ago, May 2024.
We follow Kendall, who, one day, loses everything: her fellowship, her apartment, her boyfriend. But then, her life seems to be turning towards something good as she is approached by an influencer. But it's, obviously, not that clear cut.
It was a decent thriller. Quite the slow starter, but it got going halfway through the book. The main character is alright but could have been described a bit more in depth. If you're looking for a quick and decent read, this might be it.
3/5 ⭐️

I love thrillers, and this book completely exceeded my expectations. The pacing was intense, the characters were complex, and the twists were perfectly executed. The ending left me in complete shock.

The story is about the life of Kendall Good, a young woman who experiences several drawbacks but still believes in the people she meets. There is a lot of drama; the end is quite surprising.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a captivating read that held my attention from start to finish. The story was well-paced, and the characters felt real and engaging. I’m grateful to the publisher for providing an early copy—it was a pleasure to read!

Kendall, a black-American psychology student’s life takes a turn for the worst when, on the same day, she loses her funding to her fellowship and walks on her boyfriend cheating on her.
Broke, heartbroken and now homeless, she desperately accepts the help of Mac, the rich popular student of her university and influencer, but of course, there’s a catch…
This was the first book I read from this author and it was a fast read.
There were a lot of twists and turns, some quite predictable, which made it a really entertaining read.
Thank you Storm Publishing and Netgalley #HerPrettyLies #NetGalley

This book disappointed me a little. I love a fast paced thriller, so I was excited when I got my hands on this one, but at times the plot became so out there and ridiculous that I feel like it read more like a YA fanfiction rather than a thriller meant for an adult audience. It feels like certain mature themes like that of sex and explicit language were inserted for adult marketing, but otherwise the overall plot is very YA which I was not what I was hoping for.
If you're looking for a serious thriller to cozy up with soon, this isn't one that I would recommend, but if you're looking for a fast paced thriller you could probably get through in a day or so, this would be an okay one to try.

Wow!!! Her Pretty Lies is full of endless twists and I could not put it down! This fast paced psychological thriller will keep you on your toes as you keep track of everything and leave you guessing the entire time!

This is definitely my type of thriller. It wasn't scary of anything but there's so much suspense and it's more about the psychological aspect of it.
I loved the writing and the atmosphere. I was really in it. Amazing reading experience.
But just like always, I kinda expected it.
