A binge worthy thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. So many twists and turns. Once you think you've figured it out, here comes another twist!

"Her Pretty Lies" by Angela Henry plunges readers into a chilling and gripping psychological thriller from the very first page. The story unfolds with an atmosphere of impending doom as the protagonist, a psychology student, finds herself caught in a nightmare.

The paramedics tell her she’s in shock as they load the body bag into the ambulance. Just days ago, she had everything: a man she wanted to marry, a prestigious fellowship for graduate school, and a perfect new apartment. But now, she's shivering under a foil blanket, wondering how her life became a nightmare.

As the narrative progresses, she begins to question everything, especially after discovering that the paramedics don't show concern but fear. They think she did this. They think she killed her.

"Her Pretty Lies" is an edge-of-your-seat, gripping, and unputdownable thriller that will keep readers hooked until the very last page. Fans of Freida McFadden and Jeneva Rose’s "The Perfect Marriage" will find themselves equally enthralled by this riveting tale of suspense, deception, and the darkest corners of the human psyche. With its intricate plot, unexpected twists, and relentless tension, "Her Pretty Lies" is a must-read for thriller enthusiasts everywhere.

Unfortunately Her pretty lies failed to grab me , I just couldn't engage with the Characters or the storyline it just felt a bit flat to me and I have to admit I jumped nearly half the book, just to get to the end and see what happened.

I thoroughly enjoyed this! I had no idea where the plot would take me past the synopsis and the cryptic first few chapters, but it was very fun to unravel.

Basically Kendall is a psych grad student who was just told that her scholarship didn't work out so she desperately needs money. She agrees to take a class for this influencer (cheat for her) in exchange for money and a place to live. But, the influencer turns up dead and it looks like Kendall did it.

There is so much more to the plot than just that, there's a whole family drama element, blackmail, stolen identity, etc. There were several big plot twists toward the end, and even when I thought all was resolved, another few came up. It was really interesting to try to piece together the whole story and to try to figure out what actually happened.

I thought the characters were well-developed (at least the main ones, the side characters and parents were easy to mix up) and I loved the college setting. Overall a fun and enjoyable book to read!

Thank you to NetGalley + Storm Publishing for the ARC!

What a great read! I absolutely loved the writing style and the author did such a great job tying in the different character story lines. I was so invested in Kendall’s story and found myself rooting for her throughout. I especially loved when some of the beginning info we were given came into play at the end, revealing more and more information and secrets spilled. This was my first book by this author and I look forward to checking out some of her other work!

Thank you to Storm Publishing and Angela Henry for the opportunity to read this ARC!

I flew through this book. It was extremely engaging and fast-paced. I loved the premise of the book and the characters.

I found it quite hard to follow. There were a lot of story lines running concurrently to one another and to be honest, I got a little lost at times which meant going back and re-reading parts. It also changes narrative pretty often throughout.

Overall, I enjoyed reading it. It’s a slightly ‘unrealistic’ thriller and so if that’s what you’re into, this book wouldn’t be for you, but for me, thrillers don’t have to be super realistic, so long as they have a good story which this one did. Looking forward to trying some more books from this author.

Not my fav 😅 the main character didn’t really hooked me in and if I don’t care for the main character I won’t really get into the story and that was my issue with this 😅 thanks NetGalley for the arc 🫶🏼

This book is full of so many lies it’s hard to keep up with! And it proves that keeping secrets can be toxic and harmful to so many folks. I enjoyed this story about Kendall who if it wasn’t for bad luck wouldn’t have any luck at all. When she thinks she’s finally caught a break, weird things begin happening…including a murder! A fun read for mystery lovers.

This book was a crazy ride from start to finish. You can find drama, romance, and danger throughout the whole story. Kendall thinks she knows who Mac is, but the secrets of MacKenzie Burk just begin coming out. These characters lead you on a wild ride. This was a thriller that I thought I had figured out, but then something new was revealed and I was back to trying to figure it out. This book was thrilling and complex with a strong storyline and some crazy characters. It was written well and in a manner that makes you want to keep reading.

The book opening was a scene that we're all terrified of. I can see it happening to me. The journey and turns were entertaining and thought provoking.
The story and characters were well developed. Great ending that I didn't see coming. It wrapped up all the loose ends very nicely! I would read another book by Angela Henry and would recommend to other readers. Great Job!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for a free copy of this ARC. This is my honest review.

This story starts off with a bang. There are plenty of twists and reveals. It is fast paced, and I liked it up until the final fourth of the book. Up until then I was completely immersed in the story, and although I figured out some of the twists, there were a few I didn’t see coming.

The last fourth of the book seemed frenetic!
