Murder, twists, turns, lies, and more this has it all while also having sarcasm and a can’t put down vibe to it. I really enjoyed this one and will be looking out for more from Angela Henry.

"Her Pretty Lies" stands out as one of the most captivating books I've read this year! I was immediately drawn in from the prologue and couldn't put it down until the very end. It became a binge-worthy read for me because of its intense plot, intriguing twists, and intricate storytelling that kept me fully engaged. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the story threw another twist my way, keeping me on my toes. The character development was outstanding; I adored the complexity of each character, making them easy to visualize and empathize with. Each character harboring secrets added to the suspense, as I tried to unravel the twists. This book is a rollercoaster of surprises, and the ending was truly satisfying. If you enjoy nonstop drama and unexpected twists, I highly recommend moving this book to the top of your to-be-read list!

This book is so good! I couldn't put it down. The twists and turns were so great and I was guessing til the very end. Even though it has multiple POVs and timelines it was easy to follow and keep up with. It was well written and very thorough but not to the point of being over-detailed or extra wordy. Angela Henry is definitely a new favorite author!

Her Pretty Lies was a quick read and I enjoyed the twists throughout the book though sometimes it was too much and I was a little bit lost and couldn't keep up. As a Freida fan I found this to be written very similarly and found it to be a real page turner.

This was a decent quick read. There were several good twists in the book. Some of them I saw coming, but some were very twisty. There were parts I had to reread because I was confused. Other parts were a little unbelievable. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it.

Kendall Good just lost everything, her boyfriend, her scholarship and living arrangement. She gets a proposition from Mackenzie Burk that changes her life. Secrets aren’t kept hidden forever! Thanks to the publisher for a copy.

Thank you NetGalley, Storm Publishing and Angela Henry for allowing me to read the ARC of "Her Pretty Lies" in exchange for an honest review.
The book was... something. The psychological thriller had me absolutely mind blown many times, and probably as confused as the main protagonist, Kendall.
Kendall is a young student carrying a lot of family trauma with her, with her mother expecting the most and best of her and her father imprisoned. After a chain of unfortunate events she finds herself in a brisky situation when it comes to finances, which has the result of her getting involved in rather shady activities.
When the opposite party of her deal happens to be found dead in their appartment, the story begins to roll and many things get exposed, many things that had my eyes go wide, many things that I have not seen coming.
The book is filled with many relevations and plot twist that made the read a fun exprience, without a doubt a book I would recommend everyone who likes to guess and wonder with the main character.
(I really wish there would have been more POV chapters from Mac's side!)

I believe in the saying “Everybody's got a sob story. Doesn't give you the right to be a bully.” (It's from Cobra Kai) This story doesn't apply to that.
This book got me hooked from the start. From the prologue to the first chapter the mystery was put into action, and during the middle of the book there are already twists. But the last few chapters had twists after twists after twists- No breather whatsoever- and honestly, at that point, I wasn't so hyped anymore. It took "Everyone has secrets" to another level. No one took the high road- except for one. Although it did help me go through the book faster, it literally gave me a headache.
This book is an easy fun read from beginning to middle. I could see this as a t.v series. If that would be possible, I'll be watching. But as for the book, it's personally too much.

Kendall thought she had everything: a fellowship, a long term boyfriend, a new apartment. Then, everything fell apart and she was homeless. She was propositioned to give her money for tuition and a place to live. What is she to do?
So many, many twists! Be sure to pay close attention the last fourth of the book because it is twist after twist.

Wow!! Angela Henry really wove an intricate web with Her Pretty Lies. If you like books that keep you hooked until the last page of the epilogue, this one is for you. It had plenty of twists, turns and mystery to keep you wondering the WHOLE time….whodunnit?

Her Pretty Lies is a fast-paced thriller with plenty of twists and turns. I loved the first half of the book and was engaged by Kendall’s story. Although I really enjoyed the style of writing, I found the plot machinations and multiple POVs increasingly confusing. This could be because I tend to read last thing at night, but I’m afraid for me, there were just too many plot twists and unrealistic resolutions towards the end.
Thank you to the author, Storm Publishing and Netgalley for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my review.

Many thanks to netgalley, the author and the publisher for approving my request to read this book.
Her pretty lies is a fast paced thriller with plenty of twists and turns. Kendal is down on her luck following a relationship breakdown after catching her boyfriend cheating and then failing to secure the money she was due to receive to fund her future studies. A mysterious stranger in the form of Mac offers her a solution to her problems but can she be trusted?
This book has many characters who are all pretty much huge liars so you don't know who to believe throughout and it does keep you guessing.
Overall I enjoyed this book but to me it was more of a young adult type read and I could guess a few of the twists but I'd definitely read another book by this author.

I adore this type of books with Multiple POV's. I do find though it was a bit confusing due to the difference being location. The writing was pleasant and the twists were good. I did not love any of the characters, but I enjoyed the story. I did find the twists were well done and I will fully recommend this. I would say it is a 4/5 for me but I will suggest the library gets this.

This book has plenty of twists and turns and is entertaining. Some twists you will see coming and others not so much. I am torn between three or four stars for this book but ultimately ended up giving it 3 stars because I felt it was a bit too unbelievable in parts. I was a bit confused at the beginning of the book as there are a lot of starts but once the book got going it was much easier to follow. I would definitely say this is more on the YA or New Adult level and I think more relatable to that age bracket as well with the influencer angle.
Overall good book and I did enjoy the read.

Angela Henry's 'Her Pretty Lies' is an enticing mystery/thriller that delves into the unraveling life of graduate student Kendall Good. As the story unfolds, Kendall's idyllic existence gradually crumbles, revealing a web of deception and hidden truths.
The novel begins with tantalizing backstory glimpses, subtly hinting at the secrets that will eventually consume Kendall. The relentless twists and turns keep readers on the edge of their seats, as Kendall's life spirals out of control. Initially portrayed as unlikeable, Kendall's transformation into a self-assured and assertive individual makes her increasingly relatable.
The complex relationship between Kendall and her mother adds a poignant layer to the narrative. Readers will find themselves invested in Kendall's quest to uncover the truth about her past and her family's secrets.
The interconnected characters and their secrets weave a complex tapestry of deception that keeps readers guessing until the very end. The novel's exploration of identity, family, and the consequences of hidden truths makes it a thought-provoking and ultimately rewarding experience.
Overall, 'Her Pretty Lies' is a gripping mystery thriller that will appeal to fans of psychological suspense and twisted tales of betrayal and redemption. While the occasional use of YA slang may be jarring at times, the novel's captivating plot and well-developed characters make it a worthwhile read. This was a solid 4 Stars read to me!

Angela Henry is absolutely amazing!! I read this book in one evening. While I thought it may have started slowly, the further I got the more I needed to get to the next page! Absolutely none of the explanations, right down to the last pages were what I was expecting. The relationships among the characters were built on expertly, the plot progressed perfectly and the resolutions were very satisfying. Definitely going to be in my 2024 top 10!

Her Pretty Lies by Angela Henry had so many twists and turns that it was hard to keep up with what was happening. What if you hit rock bottom and a stranger offered you a lifeline? But accepting it went against everything you stood for and could ruin your future if you got caught. Would you do it?
I could not put it down because there were some tense moments that I had to get through to see what would happen. The plot was intriguing, and the story held my interest.
A lot was going on between notes being sent, emails, things missing, academic deception, etc. I really didn't see the plot twist coming, and while it was a bit contrived, it more than made up for as more of the story unfolded. Whenever I thought I knew what would happen, another red herring or shocking revelation would be revealed.
The story shows how one decision can blow up into a huge mess. As stated, I kept thinking I knew what would happen, but then I would surprised at the next revelation, and it would throw my thoughts out the window!
There were a few times when I thought, "Who is this person the characters are seeing or talking about?!??"
I liked this book and this author's writing style. I would recommend Her Pretty Lies.

Really enjoyed this book. Got a bit lost at the beginning but soon after I couldn’t put it down! Lots of twists and turn all through it! Thanks Net Galley!

I was sucked in from the very start and could not put this book down. The story follows a college student who finds herself in a financial bind and gets an offer that feels almost too good to be true: take an online class for a famous social media star who also attends her college, and make sure she passes. In exchange, she'll get a fat wad of cash, and a free room in the star's posh apartment.
Fairly straightforward, right? WRONG. Almost immediately, things go absolutely sideways and devolve into false identities, secret stalkers, and even murder. You will not be able to tell who is lying about what for most of this book, but trying to figure it out is super addictive.
It was such a fun read, and every time I thought they'd unveiled the last twist, I was wrong.
Solid 4/5 stars. The only thing keeping it from being higher was that the sheer amount of twists and turns in the last 25% of the book had my head spinning almost too much. Thriller fans should not miss this one!

Thank you to Net Galley, the author and the publisher for the chance to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I want to say I LOVED THIS BOOK! I felt for Kendall, girl was going through it. I loved how the story all came together at the end! Lots of twist and turns and I loved that. This book kept me engaged that I was home feeling under the weather and read the whole thing in one day. I could not put it down. I would hope there will be a second book.
