This book captivated my attention from the first page! I enjoyed the multiple perspectives and the constant twists and turns. Angela Henry really knows how to keep a reader on the edge of their seat.

Absolutely un-put-downable. That's a word, right? Well if it's not, it should be. It's the only way to describe this book. You think you have it all figured out...you don't. Well done, Angela Henry!

Buckle up and enjoy the fantastic roller coaster ride that this book offers. From the beginning, this book created a speedy journey of events that kept me wondering, and I couldn't put the book down. I read it in two days only because I had to work and at 3 am I had to call it. If you enjoy fast-paced thrillers, this is for you.
The book opens on a crime scene, which is essential to memorize and sets the tone for the rest of the book. The overarching question of this book is not just who but why. We met Kendall, who is having a series of bad events back to back. Kendall loses her sponsorship for her Master's, her boyfriend is cheating on her with his ex, and to top it all off, she has nowhere to go as she used to live with him. From there, many events unfold, and the best part is that I promise you, you will not be able to guess who was behind each event; every time I thought I had it, I was proven wrong. I immensely enjoyed the speed at which the story moved, and even to the last chapter, more things were unveiled, some that I did not even think were an issue. This book is an easy five stars because if I could give it 10, I would. Bravo, Angela Henry. I just became your super fan.

I usually love a good popcorn thriller, this one wasn’t my cup of tea. I guessed most of the plot twists, and everything at the end felt very rushed. The middle plot line got lost in the sauce.
The characters POVs changed from first to third person every chapter or so, and it was a bit confusing, and there were so many side characters that I couldn't keep up. I was hoping for more with Cal, or at least more of his back story, it just didn’t go anywhere. Overall It’s thrilling enough novel to pass time, if it didn’t have an airplane ride to read this I wouldn’t have finished it so quickly

Great story and characters! Lots of twists and turns. I enjoyed this one and had no idea of the ending until it happened. Couldn’t put it down! Brilliant!

This book read like books I've enjoyed before. However, while I did enjoy the overall story, there was a lot going on that it just felt like it was too much and the big reveals just fell flat. I also felt like I still don't know what truly happened as I kept getting information saying this thing happened to find out that it was really another person, but because Kendall only knew the part we heard first that I wasn't even sure if I could rely on the secret information.
I will say that my favorite part was that the whole story took place in Ohio :-) So this book will hold a special place in my heart just for that.

Wonderful. Thrilling and transporting and very addictive. Once I started this one, I just had to finish it. Just wow! Great story by a brilliant author. Very highly recommend.

Boy does Kendall have a rough go at life! Her life just seems to be one big series of unfortunate events in a tale of crazy twists, lies, and secrets.
The first half of the book is a slow burn, and I found it to also be a little disjointed and confusing. However, once some pieces came to light, it made sense as to why the author wrote it in the manner she did.
I found Kendall to be resilient and strong in the face of adversity. Even when life knocked her down, she got back up again and kept going to figure things out. Her made for a strong MFC, and the other characters were well-developed as well, but Kendall really made me want to root for her the whole way through.
I cannot tell you how many times my jaw dropped and I gasped with all the twists! I'm pretty sure I have whiplash from it!
Thank you to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC opportunity!

I wasn't too sure what I was getting myself into when I started reading this story. I have to say what a crazy journey it takes you on. Fantastic, well written, and twists and turns I didn't see coming! I didn't guess the who, what, or why of some of it,but in other parts I did! I will not give away anything so, I am excited for you all to be on your own journey with this incredible book! As, for a favorite character I would have to say Cal as he stood by and took care of Kendell!
Highly recommend this book! Happy reading!

A very convoluted thriller that will have you questioning everything and everyone. If you weren't paranoid before you read this, you will be after. Fast paced, but easy to read.

Kendall is ready to start her college course with a great scholarship when it’s hastily snatched away from her, but when she meets influencer Mac who offers her money and a room if she sits a course for her, she jumps at it.
There are so many lies in this story, every character has them, it’s a quick easy read though. I enjoyed the story, Kendall told you about her younger years too and the tangled web of lies finally got untangled. Great 4 star read.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for a copy.

Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publish for this eARC of Her Pretty Lies by Angela Henry. This was a fast paced thriller with more layers than an onion! Every single time I thought the twists were over they kept coming until the very end. The story follows Kendall Good and her incredibly bad luck streak at the start of her graduate student year. We see her life fall apart in one afternoon and how when someone is desperate they tend to miss red flags about opportunities too good to be true. This book tackles prison time done for crimes that men were innocent for, social media influencers, and alcoholism. I really enjoyed this thriller and the plot line was unique!!

Loads of twists and turns to keep you engage. I’d recommend this if you’re in a bit of a reading slump or fed up of reading the same old thing. Or just if you want something new to read in general!

A reader could get whiplash from all the plot twists in this novel. Not only is the narrator unreliable, so is virtually every single character germane to the plot. Everyone lies. Everyone keeps significant secrets. And nearly everyone is willing to do the worst to others. There are dead bodies galore, but mostly there are sneaky devious self-serving people all around. One thing though, you will have fun figuring out all those twists and turns, or being surprised by them.

Man this book had so many twist and turns. It was amazing how the author intertwined everyone’s stories. It was great seeing how it all played out. I’m still in shock by everything that happened. It’s unfortunate that Kendall will never know the full truth. She was smart though because she was able to piece things together very quickly. They did some wild stuff in this book like Kendall finding the drugs and planting them in the car. A few things that I wanted my closure on was what Cal did with Donna once he found out her part in this story. I also don’t think I grasped how Mac found out Kendall was her sister and why they kept the truth away from her for so long.
Really great book!! Highly recommend especially if you like mystery and thriller.

What a twisty ride! At no point could I see what was coming next!
I knew there was a connection to Kendalls past but there were so many players that I couldn't put my finger on who, and I would never have guessed the why!

This was my very first thriller book ever and I’m so glad I read it!!! I was hooked from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. If it wasn’t for my personal life, I would’ve finished the book in one sitting because that’s how invested I was in it. I was able to figure out some of the clues given throughout the book, but others completely took me by surprise!! The ending threw me for a loop and I didn’t see it coming!! I will definitely be reading more of Angela Henry’s books if they’re anything like this one was.

Next time you think about participating in a scavenger hunt, maybe reconsider!
This book had so many twists and turns along the way. It kept me guessing what was next and what the connections were, I just had to keep reading! Let me tell you, the twists kept coming right to the very end, and I didn't pick any of them!

I really enjoyed this book! It was super fast paced and was a page turner from the prologue.
There were some slow moments and it did get a little confusing in the middle (the pov switching was a little awkward)
While there were some shocking bits to the ending, I did end up guessing the ending by the time I was half way through, which knocks a star off.
The book itself was very well written and I’m happy to have found a new thriller author!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

This was a fascinating and unique read! At first I was confused because I could tell there were character POV changes in chapters but I didn't know who the second person was. But no fear, you're not lost forever. I was sucked in because of the original concept and the writing was a good balance between modern and well-written. However, using words like "bet" and "AF" was a little cringey.
I enjoyed all the twists in this but I did find most of them predictable but not ALL of them. So I wish there was a tad more element of surprise. I also felt like there was just a bit too much going on. Had the author cut out a minor plot point, I think this would've been a 5 star read. I still enjoyed it but at times there was a lot happening and was hard to keep up.
