One of the things I feel most when I read books like this is lucky.
There is such a charm about L.A.'s writing, and seeing an autistic librarian fall in love with a fat conwoman, to see both of them find solace in each other, made my heart swell. It is downright fun (come on, the heroine is a conwoman and yes it's as brilliant as it sounds), while at the same time completely endearing, with such a healthy relationship between two people who are figuring things out.
This is a book that is so full of heart, and I fell so completely, head over heels in love with its entirety.

Thanks to Alcove Press and Net Galley for my advanced copy.
I was immediately drawn into this book by the premise and cover. Nerdy librarian-guardian, fat anti-heroine??? Sign me up! This story has a big heart, and captures the semantics of a small town very well. The cast felt well rounded and Harmony and Preston’s relationship felt honest. I loved that even though Harmony didn’t tell him the entire truth, she told him enough so that he was still falling in love with the real her.
Additionally, I loved how Harmony had ensemble scenes with the town, to show her falling in love not only with Preston but with the townsfolk as well. It made the ending more poignant, and although I think the ending wrapped up in too perfect of a bow (Legend Watts specifically)I still enjoyed this.
