I love returning to the world of Josie Quinn. In my opinion there’s nothing better than a strong FMC in a position of power. Even though one of her male coworkers treats her poorly because she’s a woman, it doesn’t deter her from her job and solving murders.
I also enjoy how Lisa gives us pieces of Josie’s personal life also. It shows that she’s more than just a detective. I love her relationship with Noah and their desire for a child.

I couldn’t put this one down. I needed to know what Mira knew, and who killed the unknown girl in her car. I don’t want to give away too much, but trust me when I say it’s worth the read.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC of this book.

This is book twenty of the series and everyone of them tells a great story. Called to the scene of an accident Josie and the team need to figure out what happened and where the child’s drawing came from.
This was a great read and involved all of the team. There’s a new member seemingly trying to replace their lost colleague with Josie and Noah also trying to decide on their family plans.
The story kept me guessing no the much loved characters are always worth returning to. Can’t believe there has already been twenty books and I hope the author has many more.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read the ARC in return for an honest review.

This is yet another excellent installment of the Josie Quinn series. Regan skillfully keeps the series engaging with the addition of enigmatic new characters and updating readers on how the cast’s lives have evolved since the previous book. From the outset, this narrative captivates with the mystery surrounding Quinn's latest crime scene. What initially seems like an ordinary event, quickly spirals into something far more diabolical, pulling readers into an investigation teeming with more questions than answers. Loved it!

Wow great book. I have enjoyed the Josie Quinn series and this didn’t disappoint. I am a crime fiction junkie and this book was right up my alley, I loved it. Lisa Regan is one of my favourite authors, she has the knack of drawing you so far in that you can’t leave this fictional world until you finish the book. Very good book, highly recommend, it’s five stars from me.

Her Dying Secret is the twentieth book in the Detective Josie Quinn series.

Detective Josie Quinn and her Husband Lieutenant Noah Fraley are preparing the house for a visit in hopes that they will be able to adopt a child. The appointment is postponed when they receive a call that the person is sick. Meanwhile Josie gets a call that she needs to go out to the scene of an accident. One of the women is dead from a stabbing wound, and the other seems to have no memory of another person in the car or why she had a child's drawing clenched in her hand.

Quinn and the team will follow all the clues but find no answers, only more puzzle pieces that do not fit.

As always there are plenty of twists and exciting turns that take the reader on a journey to find the answer. I love to follow the journey that Josie takes while solving the crimes. While she excels at her job, she feels that she may not be a good parent when the time comes. Josie is a wonderful complex character as are the plots. This is fantastic addition to the series and looking forward to many more.

I can't believe this is book TWENTY of the Josie Quinn series! I always sit in awe when I read the latest book, marvelling at how Regan manages to keep the series fresh but also following the same characters and updating the readers on how their lives have changed since the last book.
This book hooked me from the start with the mystery of Quinn's latest crime scene. The reader thinks it's a road traffic accident, but it turns into something much more sinister, and we are taken through the investigation with so much tension and suspense.
This book is another fantastic addition to the series, and I can't wait to rejoin Josie in the next book.

This is the 20th book in the Author's long running Josie Quinn series - and whilst it
can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the previous books to set the
characters in place .

Josie's day starts with a call out to a traffic accident , the driver is taken to hospital
in a serious condition , the passenger is most definitely a murder victim - a knife in her abdomen
Josie and her team find inconsistencies in the various statements , it appears a child might be
involved and is now missing - just what is going on .
As to what is going on - what is it with the "new" detective , never where he should be , always
on his phone and an attitude that perhaps deserves a punch on the nose - why does the Captain
put up with him is really a mystery .
This murder mystery is fast paced , full of twists and turns a child's life is in the balance
Another great read , I cannot wait to read the next in the series

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Her Dying Secret by Lisa Regan
Detective Josie Quinn #20

Twisty twisted tale that had me wishing that things could have been different for more than one character in this story!

What I liked:
* The opening and finding out what Josie and her husband Noah are working on in their private lives
* Josie: homicide detective, survivor with huge backstory in the previous books, wife to Noah, strong, resilient, intelligent, team player, compartmentalizes, and the main character of this series,
* Noah: police department lieutenant, Josie’s husband, calm, wise, good leader, sees the big picture, there for Josie in more ways than one
* Catching up with some of the characters from previous books and wondering what parts they will play in future books
* Trying to figure out the new guy that was hired after Finn’s death
* The plot, pacing, setting, and writing
* The police procedural aspects of the story and how they managed to get some things right and other things so very wrong…till they did get them right in the end
* Thinking about how Josie’s life will change in the future - or if it will at all
* The conclusion of the book that wrapped left nothing in regard to the case dangling
* All of it really except

What I didn’t like:
* Who and what I was meant to dislike
* Thinking about how warped and twisted people can be and whether it is nature or nurture that causes this
* Having to wait to see what will happen in the next book

Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC – This is my honest review.

4-5 Stars

Oh my goodness this was a good one. Thankfully we were traveling so I could finish this in one go. I didn’t want to put it down. Great characters, intense plot, and great action/suspense. I cannot wait for the next one.

I can't believe I am just now sharing a review for this newest installment of the Josie Quinn series! As usual Regan brings each character to life.... umm still not happy about a certain character's death, just saying! As an infertility patient this one hit very close to home and tugged at my heartstrings. Ms. Regan blended Josie and Noah's personal life seamlessly with their professional one which is something I really like as it brings the characters to life. I rarely give 5* reviews but pretty much every book in this series has come VERY close including this one. I can't wait for book 21 to see what happens with Josie, Noah and crew next!

I recently tried to find a new book to read. I started a few, but I had to put them on pause because I just couldn't get into any of them. That's not an issue I ever have with this series. As soon as I see there's a new one, I know there's a new story that's going to grab me immediately. And that was the case with this one, whose mystery I found particularly intriguing. I look forward to the next one.

Josie and the team are tasked with solving another complicated murder and attack. Just when they think they are on the right track, another curve ball is thrown their way. Stressed out by their new partner, Kyle Turner, and the prospect of adopting a baby, Josie and Noah, along with Gretchen, race against time to save those in danger. Kept me guessing until the last minute. @NetGalley @LisaRegan

This is probably the best book since Josie found out the truth about her past. From the very first page I was rapt. There were so many questions whirling around my head that I felt as if I had just come off a rollercoaster. There was so much tension that I had to race through this book in one sitting. Towards the end I almost forgot to breathe only to be hit with such shock it had me reeling. I just can't get enough of this series, more soon please Lisa.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book

Her Dying Secret is a well written crime thriller. This book is an edge of your seat page turner. I definitely recommend this book. I received an advance ebook from the publisher and Netgalley. This is my unbiased review.

Whenever I pick up the latest Detective Josie Quinn installment I have a very brief but stern inner conversation with myself to pace my readying, take frequent breaks and get to sleep at a reasonable hour. Then I open the book and convince myself “just one more chapter, just five more minutes”, who am i kidding?! Then it is 4:30 a.m and I find myself waiting for the next installment to be published.

To be repetitive, Lisa Regan is one of the best crime writers that I have come across. She takes you deep into a smallish police department and lays it all out as her main character, Josie Quinn is solving another murder mystery with the help of her colleagues who include her husband and a newish “you gotta have one character you just don’t like”. Well done police procedural, great twisty thriller - just could not put it down.

Huge thanks to Bookoutre and NetGalley for a copy.

Book 20 in the series and Josie and the team are back.to investigate and what seems a simple traffic accident soon snowballs into so much more and it's a race against the clock in this one to locate other victims but first the team must makes sense of a case that seems anything but straight forward.

Turner the new edition to the team is and intriguing character, I believe there is more to him than there seems.

Another engaging instalment to this well established series.
