This is a lovely romantic comedy that combines humor and charm, into a delightful page-turner. The story is well-written, filled with witty banter, unexpected chemistry, and a sparkling love story. Emma is in Rome for an MBA program. Her friends come to visit her and they all go out to a bar where she meets someone and ends up having a one-night stand. She gets self-conscious and her night doesn't end well, but things get worse on her first day of class when her one-night stand ends up being her professor. They are both clearly attracted to one another, and the dynamic between them is electric. Their interactions were enjoyable and entertaining and kept me engaged from start to finish. The author did a lovely job describing the scenes and really transporting the reader to the charming Italian backdrop which perfectly complemented the tone of the story. This is the perfect story if you're looking for a romance with a more sophisticated couple.
Warm, funny, and utterly charming!

I totally forgot to review this after reading months ago, oops! This was probably my least favorite book of the series. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't the biggest fan of Emma. It was different from the others in that this one was a silver fox romance vs an age gap romance. Still a great series that I highly recommend.

Such a sweet and light story, without any serious conflicts. I haven't read many books with protagonists the same age as Emma and Santo, but I definitely will. And I'm also curious about the stories of Emma's friends.

I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to review this title. One star, did not like this.

This one was a bit of an emotional roller coaster because I went from cheering her on, to screaming at her, and back-and-forth until the end. It's Eat, Pray, Love; it's Under the Tuscan Sun; it's Emily in Paris; it's all the things and we're rooting for the heroine the whole way. We love an older woman (as a main squeeze not necessarily in the romantic pairing here) and we love a woman moving on from a dumbass.

But overall, it's a fast read and quite delightful. A short escape. Would recommend!

I am fully fledged woman, teen child knees cracking and I even find myself loving a garden center. So it means a lot seeing women over the age of forty being represented, it is important because romance is for every age, every person who seeks it and this book wrapped me up in a spicy little blanket and I enjoyed every minute of it. This book had it all, crazy chemistry, humour, shenanigans and our favourite tropes, student/teacher ( without it being taboo), age gap, forced proximity all the good ones when done right! Throw in the fact its set in Italy and you have super quick winner on your hands. If I was going to really analyse it, it could of been fleshed out in areas and the ending felt a tad rushed but I read to be entertained 99% of the time, I want it to be magical, I want it to be indulgent and even a tad whimsical and this book was all those things!

"If you ever think about going back to Bruce, tell me...I'll show you exactly how good it can be myself."

Very fun read! Emma and Santo are adorable, and I loved that the MCs are grown ups with adult children and careers.

Highlights: student/professor, 40+ MCs, age gap, neighbors, plus-sized FMC

This story was adorably charming, steamy, and I had the best time reading about our FMC finding herself again after being “mom” for so long. Liz’s stories always feel like I’m watching a great romance movie!

I don’t think I’ve ever described a book as mature before, but this book was very mature, I felt more adult while reading it actually lol. Both character had very realistic flaws, both physical and emotionally.. and I love when the character are in my age range.

For me the real stars of this book were Oliver the door and Zola the cat.. so many of Oliver scene made me laugh out loud. The pacing of this story was good, and I was so happy the professor x student aspect was done right so it didn’t feel creepy.

With all that being said I do wish it was a little more spicy and that the story had a little more depth, the ending felt kind of rushed.. and the epilogue felt a little out of place… but I enjoyed it enough that I would recommend it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: yes
POV: dual 1st person POV
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: abuse allegations, body image issues, cheating, death of a parent (recounted), divorce
Kinky Content: biting, grinding, masturbation, mutual masturbation, oral, prostate play, sex toys
standalone: book 3 of Aged Like a Fine Wine series
final thoughts: I love Liz Alden’s writing style. It’s so easy, the stories are fast-paced, and the characters are interesting.
This series follows a group of later-in-life women who fall in love while in Europe. The friend group is amazing, supportive, funny, close, and full of so much love. They all make appearances in each other’s books and I’m excited for the series to continue!
The animals in this book added some comedic elements as well as match-making services and I loved it.
I love that Santo, the MMC, showed Emma, the FMC, how to love her body as is and helped her on her journey of self-discovery without relying on a partner. Her was supportive, kind, and sexy without being overbearing and he was exactly what she needed.
PS. Vincente deserves more story time because I want to see him suffer- what a horrible friend. I hope we hear more about him in the next book and how this plays out.

i love a good professor x student romance and this did not disappoint. I liked seeing her journey through going back to school as an adult. They had good chemistry and it was fun seeing them try to fight it. It was nice to see an older woman finally getting what she wanted and being praised after so long in a bad relationship.

I received an arc through netgalley.

I really enjoyed this book. Emma is a middle aged woman, olderthan you normally see in romance books. She and her friends are all working or going to school in Europe.
One night, she makes a handsome guy in a bar and is tempted to go home with him, but changes her mind. Good thing she did, because when she gets to school in Rome, she finds out that he is her professor.
On top of all that, her ex-husband shows up, try to win her back.
Over time their relationship has turned serious, is it strong enough to survive everything that’s thrown at it?

I loved the whole premise of older friends going back to school, starting new careers etc. especially because they all moved to Europe! 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley, I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the ARC “Prosecco with My Professor” by Liz Alden in exchange for my honest review.

Prosecco with My Professors is the third book in the Aged Like Fine Wine series. When approved to review this ARC, I hadn’t read the first two books, therefore, I read those first to gain more insight into the characters. Four best friends move to different parts of Europe. They travel once a month together. During this time, they each form connections and fall in love. I really became engaged in the storylines during book 2. In book 3, Emma has an almost one night stand with a man who turns out to be her professor and new neighbor.

I’ve found the series to enjoyable and it kept my interest throughout the read. I highly recommend you read the Aged Like Fine Wine series…you won’t be disappointed!!! I’m looking forward to the possibility of a fourth book with Jade and Carlos???

I really enjoyed this read, the characters, the pace and the spice were great!
I loved that this story contained characters who were older and more mature than in my usual reads! A great feature in this book.

This book was a really quick, fun and easy read, exactly what I needed to get out of my reading slump!

Thank you NetGalley and Liz Alden for this ARC! Can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Liz’s 3rd book in her Aged Like Fine Wine Series. Each can be read as a stand-alone, but you definitely get more out of it if you read it in order!

What I found really refreshing about this book were both main characters were 40+ years old and divorce. I loved how this steamy story played out and it definitely worth the read!

Refreshing to see a female main character over 40 depicted as plus size and desirable. Not a huge fan of the male main character.

Prosecco with My Professor by Liz Alden follows Emma chance, an ex wife and mother as she goes back to school for her MBA. Before her term, her and her friends go out where she meets Santo Offredi. Or rather Professor Offredi. Emma struggles with self confidence especially after the divorce and Santo struggles with keeping his hands off his new student. This was a first from Liz from me and I absolutely loved it. The dual POV are usually a favorite for me, just because I love seeing both sides of a story.
I did have a little difficulty since this is based in Rome and has some Italian words which I am not familiar with either. Alas I could not get enough of Emma and Santo. The comedy aspect was great and the spice was an amazing touch. Even though this was about a women in her fourties, I think anyone would enjoy this from the romance alone! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
