A great nonfiction book for children. Great facts and pictures for young minds to explore the lives of early vikings.

I have a huge interest in all-things-viking, and I found this book to be totally fascinating. I cannot wait to share this with my homeschooled children, they will absolutely love this book. I would totally recommend this as a gift for any young explorer, for it belongs in any public, school, or home library!

As an adult, I find children's non-fiction incredibly underrated. I still love to learn new things, but don't want to read a dense 500 page adult non-fiction book to do so. I also love learning alongside my elementary aged son who enjoys these DK books as well!

This Viking book was especially fun to read after recently reading a Viking inspired adult fantasy! I learned a lot, in a quick and easy format! The fact that stands out the most is that Vikings were the first Europeans to colonize North America. I loved the sections on women & children, food, and the Q&A in the back. Beautiful pictures throughout.

Succinct with great photos. I read this with my children and they were engaged and had questions. Really great format. Would be great as a school resource.
