Chanté's book challenged me to grow in humility and genuine understanding, and to listen and learn with empathy and compassion to love my Black Neighbor. I like the culturally authentic ways she shared about how to begin to love our Black Neighbors and how these principles can also be applied universally to strengthen our relationships in loving others from all different backgrounds.

Like Chanté, I grew up in SoCal, so I appreciated reading her childhood experiences of living in Los Angeles that broadened my perspective of these diverse neighborhoods; reading this book was like putting on new lenses to see a different point of view.

Practical, insightful, and deeply convicting, this book helps readers reflect on our own heart attitudes that need transformation. The book includes "heart check" questions and breath prayers to assess honestly our blindspots, motives, and to initiate conversations that encompass forgiveness and reconciliation, so we can be more attuned to the Spirit of Love and unity.

I highly recommend this book not only for spiritual growth and learning about racial justice, but also as a mentor text to understand the concept of "voice" as this book is very well written and Chanté 's voice shines through the storytelling. The writing is strong, compelling, and it is clear that Chanté knows her craft well.

I want to thank the publisher for an advanced reader copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

So grateful for this beautiful work by Chante Griffin.

With vulnerability, truth, and the gift oisstorytelling, Chante encourages the reader on the work to love your Black neighbor. With research and practical application, this book will challenge and equip you to truly do the work to see and care for others.

I love the heart check questions that can be helpful for individual processing and group discussions. The clear thread for all of us to hold to is the work of the Spirit within us and around us to bring about this redemptive work as we take steps forward.
