If the title makes you laugh, you’ll love this book.
I smirked and giggled at the cover, and full out laughed at the galley. My husband asked what I was laughing at, so I read it aloud and he gasped (which made me laugh harder.) Apparently height digs are truly NOT appreciated by males. I never knew!
While I can’t see myself maintaining a relationship with anyone to whom I spoke these suggestions aloud, I think that's precisely the point. It definitely felt wonderful to read after a long day of mansplaining at work. I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to maintain a straight face at work tomorrow.
This book is short and very funny. It’s not just one insult after another. I enjoyed the behind the scenes storytelling, and overall learned a few things about the male ego.
Thanks NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS for allowing me a digital ARC in response to my request.

Thank you to NetGalley and SourceBooks for the chance to read this arc! I’ve been watching Kyle Prue’s Tik Toks for a while and found them fantastic. When the opportunity arose to read his book, I was thrilled. Prue steps up to the patriarchy and takes a solid swing at it. While the insults are great and I absolutely plan to use them, the bigger point about how limiting the patriarchy makes the world and taking on societal structures is the true masterpiece. It’s great to see a man address this issue with humor and direct action.

That title? SAY. FUCKING. LESS.

Are you tired of talking to men? I know I am. (If my husband is reading this: Not you, honey.) However, after reading this handy guide, I feel equipped to handle the next mansplainer that darkens my door!

Kyle Prue has given us insider tips on how to shatter the male ego. Some tips and phrases deal the devastation upfront, some are a slow burn and will fester for years. Prue personally vouches for several, having been on the receiving end of them. This book had me cackling! I’m a hater at heart and I loved every minute. Kyle is doing the Lord’s work. How To Piss Off Men is a quick read that will stay in your mind long after you’re done.

How to Piss Off Men: 109 Things to Say to Shatter the Male Ego is out September 17, 2024.

Thanks to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

In How to piss off men we get 109 phrases to tell men, and questions, and comebacks, along with a few stories from the author.

I wanted to read this mainly because of the title, and it did not disappoint. Easy to read and short chapters which made this straightforward to read. It was also fun to read that the author had actually tested these out which made it even better to read each chapter.

If you like humor books, or just want to piss off men, I’d recommend this!

Happy reading!♥️

I absolutely loved this and found myself reading some of the insults out loud to my mother! These were great especially coming from a man! I loved that Kyle included personal stories of these particular insults in his life!

I laughed so loud at this book my kids came over to make sure I was ok.
I follow Kyle on Instagram, so I knew the tenor of his comedy before I started reading. What I was pleasantly surprised with was the insight he has towards gender norms and patriarchy. The inclusion of personal stories felt perfect nestled into the jokes. The story of his grandfather had tears welling up in my eyes.
Would I recommend this to my students or their parents? Nope. Would I use the underlying framework for helping young understand that we can do better working towards undermining the patriarchy? Absolutely!
I’m so happy that I was given the chance to read and review this book, it was hugely enjoyable.
